The menu is diverse enough to enjoy delicious Japanese cuisine even if you're not a sushi fan. The sushi is fresh and beautifully presented. Our kids loved the undon soup and mochi desserts. Thank goodness we don't have to drive to Seattle to eat great sushi!

Great food, great service. A little on the expensive side compared to similar sushi places, but not too outside the baseline for high quality sushi. outdoor seating was well done, with a nice ambiance and personal heaters at each booth.

Very good food, service and value. I was a little disappointed in their Brackett's special roll but Spider roll and other sushi ordered were excellent.

We are so excited to discover Sankai. We are always looking for excellent sushi, and Sankai exceeded our expectations. The fish was so fresh and well presented. We tried the Chef's Choice nigiri and loved discovering new options. We started with the tempura Brussels sprouts - crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. We'll be returning!

We had a great dinner sitting at the sushi bar. Nakano-san was very hospitable and provided good information and recommendations!

Terrible terrible terrible food, there was a curly hair under my sushi. And they seems just removed that curly hair and served the same one to me again. Won’t go again

Probably the best sushi in the Lynnwood / Edmonds area unless there is somewhere that I don't know about. The wait staff are also very knowledgeable and friendly. When I was living out of state I would come here on every visit. Happy to live in the area now so I can come here more often.

Absolutely outstanding food! My son can not stop talking about the nodoguro, shima aji and kinmedai. Amazing freshness and flavors. Knowledgeable and attentive service with great personality and such a warm atmosphere. Our favorite sushi in all of seattle by far. Thank you Nakano.

This was our first time back since Covid. It was a treat to be able to dine out. We all felt the separation of the seating areas with vertical heavy drapes was clever and discrete.
The food quality was top notch. Very flavorful and very fresh fish. Friendly and prompt service we didn't feel rushed or ignored.
I would place Sankai as one of the top 3 Sushi restaurant in Seattle.

Unmpressed with chef's choice Chirashi. The fish pieces were disappointingly thin. Otherwise it is a "good" choice for raw fish.

Overall solid food but the service and pace of the dishes coming out was pretty slow. Lots of waiting between small dishes. Our waiter was nice but water refills were slow, bringing extra plates and such were slow and inconsistent. One of the bowls that were brought out was dirty (rice was stuck on it).

Some of the food options they offer is both delicious and unique but some of the dishes were also average but with a higher price tag. I'd go back again but it didn't light my world on fire.

Sankai has quickly become one of our favorites. Fish is always fresh and service is excellent. Highly recommend!

Will absolutely be back. Pricing is fair, sushi (specifically the salmon sashimi) was delicious, and the outdoor individual tents feel safe. Sushi chef was a bit backed up, so there was a bit of a wait for our second order of fish, but it honestly wasn’t a huge deal. Server offered a nice sake recommendation as well. Would absolutely recommend!

The food was very good as usual, and the server did her best to accommodate us. But the kitchen was super busy with orders. We arrived at 5:30pm sharp for our reservation, but the order wasn’t taken until 5:45pm, and the food wasn’t served until 6:45pm. We advise you to make reservations as early as possible to avoid the dinner rush.

Menu is boring - nothing original or unique. The quality was good for some of the dishes - but horrible for the seared blue fin in honey soy sauce. This dish looked like the scapings from a frying pan and really nothing in the sauce that looked like seared fish. The service was ok - slow and they just bring dishes as they are ready - so the appetizers showed up after our main dinner dishes. We have eaten here before and was already apprehensive about the menu and food - but we do try and be fair and give restaurants a couple of tries. Will not recommend this place to others and we really enjoy the other restaurants that they own and are loyal fans of their other restaurants. For Sushimi - suggest you go elsewhere.

We were extremely pleased with the Covid precautions taken. We haven't eaten out in over a year, and next time we do, we'll strongly consider coming back just because of how safe we felt here. Additionally, the service was excellent and everything we would have hoped for.

The sushi quality is always different each time I visited. The last day I visited was April 21. I ordered omakase as usual. The sushi quality was poor: the fish were cut roughly, the fish quality was not good too, any one of the fish was detected from the rice when I got it.
