   It had a good ambience with amazing food. The dessert “rasmalai” was the main highlight of the evening. Akriti specially gave us a warm and welcoming service, we enjoyed it. The only thing was the bread naan that was too chewy and hard for us but everything else overpowered it so, Overall great experience.

   Food is barely average. Brunch buffet felt like an Indian wedding catering spread. They don’t have basics like garlic naan, etc. the food tastes is average at best. No fancy appetizers or main courses from their main menu. No single dish felt like “OMG!.” They charge a mandatory 20% service charge on a party of 4 for a buffet! Where we have to get up and serve ourselves. On top of it, after enquiring, they DO NOT share any of the tips with the wait staff. It seems they are just employing a bunch of Indian staff so that they can exploit them with lower wages and not sharing/giving any tips.

   This is a family favorite Indian restaurant in the Dallas area. Innovative food, especially desserts. Delicious food, great service and upscale ambiance.

   Price is not worth the service. 1st when we arrived asked for a table in better spot and they said it’ s reserved and didn’t put us there which is a lie. They added 20% service charge for 4 people not sure why, that is something we have to decide based on the service. Food was ok but way too pricy for that taste.

   Food was excellent - the dal was a bit too salty but some raita stirred in fixed that. What was not excellent was the service by the "Captain": disrespectful, arrogant, dismissive, lack of interest and attention about sums it up. And it impacted our dining experience as she hovered over us while we were still finishing up our appetizer. There was even some eye-rolling. The behavior would have been more appropriate for a cafeteria than a fine dining restaurant. It was a quasi business meal, hence I did not feel it was appropriate to raise and discuss with it with management before leaving (although no management came by to check on us...). But it will make me request a different server next time, should she be assigned to my table again.

    We had a really disappointing dining experience at Sanj. The food was served cold, and to make matters worse, they didn’t even bother changing my husband’s plate after the starters—only mine was replaced. To top it off, there was a loud argument between staff members right in front of us, which made the atmosphere very uncomfortable. We were there to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and unfortunately, the experience fell far below expectations.
