With both doors opening almost constantly it was very hard to feel comfortable. The food we got was cold and overcooked. This visit was not worth the money and we were highly disappointed after great visits in the past.
Wonderful food and service at a great price. Highly recommend!
I took my mother in law to Sangrita on a Friday evening around dinner time. It was lively, service was great, and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
I really enjoyed the cocktails and food but it was clear that they needed more servers that night. There were only 2 for the entire restaurant and it was the day after Valentine's day. We felt forgotten most of the time we were there.
As far as noise, we sat in the bar area and initially the music was extremely loud but it must have been turned down at some point as it was much better about half way through our meal.
I would like to try it again maybe on a weeknight and perhaps sit outside when warmer
Had a girls' date night and was looking forward to it. Sangrita is always packed and tough to get into. I did a reservation on Open Table. When we got there, the hostess didn't seem to know about our reservation and told us there wasn't anything inside, but outside was available. So we sat outside. There were heaters, but the metal chairs were freezing. I wore my jacket while out there, not a big deal.
Service was very slow. He did not mention anything until the very end of our very long dinner that a server had walked out. We were already pretty upset at this point, so it was hard to have empathy. Took 40 mins for us to get drinks, then more time to order food, then more time to get our checks. We were there for 6:30pm reservations and didn't leave until 9pm. We had to ask for plates, silverware, and got 1 water refill.
But the food....the food was awesome! I've always heard very good things about Sangrita, so hopefully this was a one-time flop that happened.
Best Valentine’s date ever and the staff at Sangrita made it so special. They were incredible—big shoutout to Ted at the bar! Highly recommend.
Fun atmosphere and great food!
Thankful Sangrita was on the Devour list because I'm not sure I would have found it otherwise and it's a definite spot to hit up!
Delicious food, great service and ambiance!
Service was horrid-we waited for an hour and a half for food with the explanation that we “weren’t alone”. Disastrous. Won’t be back.
Food was excellent! Audrey was very sweet and efficient. My issue lies with the business model. Multiple people waiting on the host stand for an extended time, lots of confusion on what food belonged to who as it was not plated in correct groups. Overall a great experience but needs some fine tuning
We loved the food that we received , the problem was the service. They were way under staffed in the bar the kitchen and the dining area and the wait staff
One of the worst dining experiences ever. After an hour and fifteen minutes, we had received a drink and an appetizer and that was it. Main entrees never came. I asked them to pack the entrees to go as we needed to make a show at Clowes by 8:00. I paid the bill for the entire meal to expedite things. Twenty minutes later and still no food. We left Sangrita in disgust with no food. Paid $80+ for a drink and an appetizer. To make matters worse, we were late for the show. Also, there is no need for a reservation as they do not honor them. We saw numerous people turned away who claimed to have a reservation, but were told they would have at least a 45 minute wait as it was “Open Seating.”
Only 2 servers were working which was fine when we first got there. But by the time our dinner was completed, we sat for 30 minutes with no drinks before we could flag down our server. The servers did a great job not freaking out with the rush of crowd, but service was definitely lacking.
The restaurant didn’t honor our reservation, explaining that a private event had rented out half of the restaurant. They had no indoor table for us, but offered to seat us in their outdoor dining area under heat lamps, which didn’t put out enough heat, leaving us to sit in the cold with our coats on. Service was slow, as if the restaurant didn’t realize there were guests seated outside. Overall, food was great but the experience left us highly disappointed.
visited for the first time for lunch. Sangrita is cozy, small and has a decent vibe but this Wednesday of our visit was very empty. just the two of us and one other table. however, the service was prompt and helpful. the food was tasty but I would not recommend the mexican honey glazed corn fritters, however the bison quesadilla was tasty (but very small).
don't know if I will rush back but glad that I tried it. maybe it is more lively for dinner.
Extremely nice staff/ good food!!
Good time. Food was good, but a little bland for my liking (I had the arroz con pollo). It was fairly loud, with tables very close to each other, but conversation was still doable.
Service was great!
This place is great! Good food, good drinks, and cool interior design. Would definitely recommend
Great food and service!
