Sangiovese Ristorante at Fishers District is a new addition to the Sangiovese family. We have brought many of our original recipes to Fishers with an addition of a few new items. Sangiovese Ristorante was founded in 1994 by Owner/Operator Chris Evans. His goal was to bring an authentic Italian cuisine to Indianapolis' North Side. Through the years Chris has maintained his dedication to clientele by providing the highest quality ingredients and impeccable service. This was our first time dining at the new Fishers District location. Excellent authentic Italian food, attentive service and wonderful ambience! We were celebrating a belated birthday with our son from Lexington. He was very impressed!

Have enjoyed the previous locations of Sangiovese, and were excited to try this new location in Fishers. It exceeded our expectations with regard to ambiance, service and quality of the food. We started with the Torta Di Caprino and a lightly breaded Calamari Fritti - both very good and would highly recommend. Followed that with the Insalata Wedge salad, then the Pollo Alla Parmesan. The meal was outstanding with great flavor and large portions. We will definitely be frequenting this location often. Buon appetito!

Holly’s service was fabulous. The food flavor was good, just not very ample for the price. Seats were not very comfortable if you weigh more than 125 lbs. Cant say that I will race back.

A little expensive for Indiana, but what I can’t get is why they offer dry shredded Parmesan to top pasta with, which looks like it comes in a big container from Costco. At these prices they should grate Parmesan, not use bought in shredded tasteless junk. Otherwise, the white clam sauce pasta is very good! And yes, I know you’re not supposed to put Parmesan on pasta with seafood, but save that for trips to Italy. Ciao!

Excellent experience, especially given how recently they opened. Food, service was all great. Seating was a little tight and getting to the restroom was a little awkward navigating the tables and staff.

While the food is delicious, the service left much to be desired. Server did not come to the table prepared to cite menu specials and pricing, nor was she or a colleague she pulled in knowledgeable about wine selection. Food was slow to come out, bread was not offered and once the food was dropped off we did not see the server again. She seemed irritated and distracted. I don’t know how long this location has been open but the coffee pot was not hooked up to a water line, so coffee could not be ordered. I expected a sophisticated and friendly dining experience and was disappointed on both counts. I will not return.

We were seated on time; service was excellent. We enjoyed the Lasagna and Linguine with baby clams in white wine sauce ; both were excellent. However the Caesar salad lacked adequate dressing. The Calamari was very good. Ambience is a problem for such an expensive restaurant; parking is inadequate and you feel as if you are sitting at a food court at a mall. This is not comfortable cozy intimate Italian style restaurant. Just a noisy food court atmosphere intended to turn tables quickly

I am Happy they opened in the Fishers District. The Sangiovese in the Ironworks is our favorite restaurant. Same exceptional food except they have pizza at this one. I had the Osso Buco - exceptional. They have a great menu and the portions are very large. Service is always attentive.

They’re just getting going so pacing was pretty uneven. Red snapper was great. Everything else was so-so. Side dining room is incredibly loud. Get a seat in main dining or you’ll be shouting to talk.

Had a great meal at the FIshers location.
The decor is very current and trendy, but high celings make it very noisey and not very romantic. We were greeting promptly and were seated fairly qucikly with reservations.

Would go back again.

This was our first visit to either Sangiovese and we were definitely pleased with both the food and the service. Ariana was our server and She couldn’t have been more helpful.
Surroundings were a little noisy but best of all, no one was wearing a hat!

LOVE Sangiovese! We've been fans of this restaurant for years, and I was so excited to see them expand for even more people to have the chance to enjoy at the new location. The food is SOOOO good! The staff is so friendly and attentive. Can't wait to go back!

I enjoyed my visit. I have been to the original many times in the past. The wine list was great. My salad awesome. The fettuccine Alfredo lacked in taste and was overly thick. Don’t bother. The tiramisu was good I’ve had better. The tables were so close together we could barely carry on a conversation without everyone hearing us. I say this because I heard everyone else and their business. Not a fan. I was seated before my reservation and I appreciated that. My server was new but great- thank you Holly! I would like a more intimate dinner with my husband instead of sharing the night with everyone.!

From the ease of making a reservation to the amazing atmosphere as you enter the restaurant itself, the dining experience at Sangiovese Ristorante-Fishers is second to none. The ingredients are fresh & prepared to order. The wait staff is attentive & professional (no “bud”, “sweetie”, “honey” or other annoying greetings). I ordered the “Pollo Alla Parmesan”. It was tender, juicy & savory. The butterflied chicken breast in a breadcrumb coating was mouthwateringly delicious. The red sauce complimented the chicken without overwhelming it.

The “Linguini Bosco Mare” my wife dined on was also delicious. The garlic butter sauce exquisitely bathed the shrimp, tomatoes and mushrooms in a flavorful symphony of flavor. She also ordered the “Insalata Caprese”. The ingredients were fresh & the balsamic vinegar drizzled over them provided the perfect compliment & a zest to the tastebuds.

Sangiovese Ristorante-Fishers is a wonderful establishment & worth the drive from anywhere in the area.

They accept reservations & it is advisable to make them. However, if you like to roll the dice, walk-ins are also welcome.

the food was to die for.
best Italian restaurant I have ever been to.
the restaurant had just been open for business for 1 week so the drink selection was not there yet. ordered ice tea and they did not have it no tea machine yet.
over all a great dining experience.

We have been to the other location in Ironworks. We thought the food, service and ambiance was much better. This is new restaurant and could be part of the challenges. The layout is strange as there are no great tables that doesn't constantly see and hear the kitchen.

I put in my reservation that I needed a high chair (for my 9 month old son). When I got there, they have absolutely no high chairs or slings to set a car seat on which is honestly ridiculous. The hostesses couldn’t have cared less about anything. They also sat us in the middle of the restaurant where the car seat was in the way the entire time. We had to hold our son throughout the entire meal which is rather difficult with a 9 month old. I wish they would’ve called and told me that there would be no high chair available since I specified this when I booked the reservation. It made the whole experience not great and several managers walked by looking at our situation and not one stopped and asked how our experience was. This whole experience was not pleasant and I will not be going back because of that.
