The place was immaculate with a cool vibe, food was delicious and service was awesome. The owner was very attentive and even made 2 drinks from scratch. The Rosea slushie was amazing on a hot day. Looking forward to going back soon!
Not sure if they were understaffed or what but our server was terrible. Food decent but overpriced. Beverage from the bar was made incorrectly. Not returning.
Great food and great atmosphere.
We had a reservation. They were short staffed, however after sitting there for 30 minutes with our group of 9, we had still not even had a waiter come and greet us or take a drink order, let alone appetizers or entree orders. Disappointed.
Looked forward to coming to this establishment as we have enjoyed the Holland location a few times. On a Saturday there was a harried manager complaining about cancelled reservations, one new bartender whose skills were dubious, a kind but overworked single solitary server, and one person in the kitchen. The place was not prepared for it's modest clientele.
Additionally the menu is so small and uninspiring (pandemically abbreviated for expediency) that one could not find anything worth having. Beyond some simple apps, there were 5 entrees and a couple of burgers and one salad.
We planned to go for dinner but upon seeing the condition of the operation and brevity of the menu (scallops, steak, salmon, whitefish, chicken) we had one round of drinks and a couple of apps and headed out for a better experience elsewhere.
I understand the need to be cost conscious and the challenges of finding workers in the service industry, but if you have nothing interesting to offer, why would anyone frequent your establishment?
Nothing like the vibe of the Holland location.
Let's hope they figure it out soon.
Great experience on our first visit to this location. Food was good and the MeXo Margarita is a must try.
Love the food and the waiter was excellent.. will come again
Never have Saturday Happy Hour anymore
We’ll be back! Good food, great staff, nice environment!
Food was outstanding! Fish and steak both wonderful! Great service! Live entertainment was great too!
Wedding anniversary weekend.
Trevor was great! Found this hidden gem on Open Table search and was glad for it! When we pulled up, weren't sure at first as it's located in what seemed a more industrial area. Once inside though, understood the reviews! Limited menu, yes, but everyone enjoyed their selection and the live music was superb! Thanks for the great experience "off the beaten path"!
Enjoyed by all four of us. Whitefish was great.
I booked this "last minute" on a Saturday night following an event. The table was ready, no issues with being seated. The kitchen was backed up a bit and our waiter told us that when we sat down. We didn't mind as we had a drink to relax and unwind. Food was good, no complaints - menu is somewhat limited but nice selection to choose from.
Place was great and off the normal path of places to eat. Service was a little slow but they were understaffed. Our server was working hard! Looking for the menu to get back to normal... no tacos available.
Beachy breath of fresh air in Grand Rapids. Limited but satisfying menu.
This was a “gem” we never knew about. Made same day reservations and arrived as the only people there. We were a bit turned off by the outside building...and almost didn’t go, but threw caution to the wind and my husband said “maybe it’s a hidden gem” and it was! The service was amazing! We had the sweetest waitress! While the menu was small, we all loved what we ordered! High recommend and will go back!
Food and service were excellent! Thoroughly enjoyed my cocktail, burger, and chocolate flourless torte!
Absolutely excellent. Food and drinks were great. Very friendly staff. Great experience.
The server was great! She was fun and professional. The burgers and homemade margaritas were delicious, but overpriced. They had a mask requirement, but some patrons got up and walked around unmasked and were not asked to wear one. The large TV behind the bar played A far-right opinion news channel which was off-putting.
Wonderfull meal, wonderful staff. Great job. We will be back.
Our food was very good! We had the whitefish and the black and blue burger! The whitefish was tender and the sauce was super good and the burger was super tasty!
Our waiter was Trevor and he was very friendly and personable. We will definately going back and trying out some other food items that looked really good!
I will start by saying we LOVE LOVE the other location and it’s our favorite couples stop. BUT...Really disappointed in this meal. Was expecting ambience similar to the grand haven location, and it felt like a hang out bar. Even during covid times we were under whelmed with the menu which we can understand but a minuscule wine menu and no cocktail menu???... not even close to worth the value of our meal. We will not be back unfortunately. :(
Great food, great atmosphere! Will definitely come again!
They were out of the food and the bourbon we wanted to order. Left without ordering anything.
One of the best hamburgers I have had in recent memory. Juicy and perfectly cooked. My wife had the salmon and she really enjoyed her dish as well. Sara was our waitress, and she was friendly and prompt. So glad we chose to dinner here.
What amazing customer service! Our server and the manager were so attentive, we get so special! Great drinks, amazing food. We willDefinitely be back!
It was our first time there and wow! Awesome service and food. We had a group of three and we all tried different things and all really liked everything. The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable too. It was the perfect spot for us friends to catch up over a delicious meal.
We had a great experience at Sandy Point Beach House. This was their first weekend being open since the shut-down and their menu was very limited. However, we totally understand and the food we ordered was amazing! The waitress was very friendly and took great care of us. She recommended the margaritas and they were amazing. I'd definitely go back!
Sophia, our server was very kind. The food was good, thankful for gf options.
Loved the Baja tacos!!!! And the roasted corn dip.
Was not impressed with their food or drink menu at all. Service was decent. Would not recommend
Food was delicious but considering the indoor dining room was nearly empty the service was very slow. It took too long to get our food and our check. But overall a good experience.
We ate outside. It was a nice sunny night. Service was great. Food was great. Parking onsite...which was nice but we didn't realize we could park there because it said no parking....which was due to patrons across the street parking there a lot.
Wow. What a disappointment. We made a reservation on OpenTable and arrived on time. The hostess asked us if “someone” had called us, which they had not, and then apologized but didn’t explain for what. We realized later that the apology was for what was to come. We were instructor find an open table if we could. Most tables were taken or had not been cleaned off. We finally found an acceptable table. Then we had to download a terribly clunky app to order our food. The menu was very limited and extremely overpriced for this experience. But we were settled and didn’t want to give up on this place since we have usually enjoyed it and want to support local restaurants. We ordered a couple of burgers. Our drinks arrived in cans with no glasses or ice and were not cold. Many other patrons sat down and left after struggling with the app. About 40 minutes later, our food arrived in paper takeout boxes and in a paper bag as if we were leaving. We also were brought cloth napkins and real silverware as if we were not leaving. We stayed and ate. The burgers were prepared and served just OK but our bill was over $60. Overall terrible experience. Not going back.
I bit of a disappointment. The restaurant that was here prior to this one was first class. The menu has little selection. Everything was in plastic. Nothing spectacular.
We have eaten at the Holland location so we thought this place would be just as good. It’s not. We went on a Saturday night around 6. Very few patrons. We sat out in the patio. The place seemed neglected for it being new. The owner doesn’t pay a lot of attention to detail.
Server was nice.
Food was reasonably priced.
Husbands hamburger was good.
The red chairs and table umbrellas were nice.
The patio area has potential!
My fish tacos were almost burned:/
The Mexican Cake dessert was very dry. It seemed as though it was made the week before. Not good.
We asked about Restaurant Week and never got an answer.
The fence area was 1/2 fake plants and 1/2 real but it looked like someone just slapped the fake plants up to try and hide the construction going on next door.
The tables were rusty and wobbly.
The couches along the back wall had cushions that were in pretty bad shape.
There was a tall open garbage can setting next to the door outside with a hand written, worn sign that read garbage.
It appeared as if they weren’t ready for any customers; tables with rags laying on them, maintenance workers scurrying around trying to install a speaker by our table, deliveries going into the restaurant from the patio area.
They were setting up the bar outside, it seemed for the first time. The yard games were near the bar but weren’t ready for patrons to use like it is at the Holland location. Wouldn’t the place want everything in order before you open the doors for business?
It was definitely an interesting experience. We will not be going back.
Excellent food and great happy hour. Will go back
Still in startup mode but they followed up on our thoughts and concerns. Won’t be long before they are at the same level as West Olive. We will be back.
Delicious wedge salad and perfectly prepared filet!
