   Past visits were excellent. Last night had Caesar salad with salmon. Salmon was not good. Salad was just okay.

   We very sad to find out upon arrival that there was a set menu for the night. No where was it posted or stated when booking reservations. We would have chosen a different restaurant had we known. But even then, the food was very bland, not even enjoyable, and underwhelming for the price we were paying. Sadly, I will not be coming back.

   Went for NYE. It was our first time at either of their locations. It was a set menu which we didn’t expect, but seeing that it was a major dining holiday, it wasn’t all that surprising. We had the shrimp cocktail, lobster bisque, rib eye steak, the poached monkfish, and we each had the cheesecake and wine pairings for each course. We’ve been telling absolutely everyone about this place since. We STILL rave about the steak and the wasabi based cocktail sauce. The service we got was so personal - our reservation was at 4pm so the place was pretty dead - and our server was more than happy to tell us all about the wine and the food and the restaurant in general. The pairings were PERFECT. Clearly a lot of thought was put into the choices for the menu. I’m going to miss the tailored experience, but I’m excited for our next date night here anyway.

   Was disappointed as I have had wonderful meals at the restaurant in West Olive. Waitress did not put our appetizer order in but told us she did remove it from our bill (seriously - an apology would have been all that was needed). Menu indicated home made chips with burger, and I got Lays potato chips - seriously - at least kettle chips would have been better. Never refilled water.

   I’ve eaten here many times and always enjoyed the food. Had fish and chips last night , was not enjoyable due to being greasy - maybe their deep fryer not hot enough - so will stick to other foods when I go back

   I wanted to go to a nicer place for dinner tonight with some family. A lot of restaurants were booked full or just didn't do reservations/could have a long wait. I remembered that there was Sandy Point and checked their hours on Google and their website. Both said it was open. So I made a reservation through Sandy Point's website (which took me to Open Table) and I had no issues making a reservation for 7:30 pm tonight (11/30). We get there and it's closed. No sign on the door, no notice on the website, nothing. This was frustrating especially since I was able to make a reservation?? If they do this to you, go across the street to Garage Bar and Grill. It's a different atmosphere but has great food and drinks. Oh and they're actually open when they say

   I think this is just a sign of the times and another restaurant being understaffed. Once they got a little busier there were longer periods of waiting for the server to get back to the table. The food was good but on the cold side. We were not offered dessert but some at the table were interested - there was one option and we had to wait a long time for it - but it came really hot (not very good for bread pudding though). I will go back - I just think all businesses are still struggling.

    Do not spend your hard earned dollars here. Drinks took a half hour to arrive to the table, our orders were given to another table, the atmosphere is that of a dive bar and the food has much to be desired. Don’t get your heart set on that pretzel. It is terrible. The owner acts aloof to the fact that nothing is going right and is an expert at providing excuses. There are so many better choices you could make for a night out in Grand Rapids.

    This is an awesome restaurant! Inside and outside seating are available. Our server, Jason, was extremely personable and knowledgeable on helping us select drinks! Highly recommend…they even have their own parking area which is a plus!

    Great experience! Staff was welcoming, kind, courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable! Food was excellent! Happy they have gluten free and vegan options, a must for any restaurant these days! This place is a hidden gem! Go check it out for yourself! We went on a Thursday, so no live music, pretty laid back. Can’t wait to go back and check out the music scene!

    we made a reservation to hear Troll for Trout. Glad we arrived so early to get such a great table, all the timein the shade. Food was very good; disappointed that they ran out of shrimp. THey had some great drink specials for th event too. Fun that they allowed food truck so we started with something not on their menu. Overall, very happy with our experience. Pretty sure they had to bring in servers from other properties so they could handle the crowd. Will certianly return.

    It took much too long for my drink to arrive. There were three tables that were being served. The wait person was absent most of the time. When I did see her, she was fawning over a table of young people. When I asked about my drink she blamed the bartender. My meal was mussels. The broth was so salty I could not finish. The mussels were not sweet but almost pickled. The pretzel appetizer was a frozen product it tasted like. This was not my first visit but it will be my last.

    Food was great service was good. Atmosphere was terrible music too loud couldn’t even talk. Also the band was smoking weed the entire time and that’s all you could smell the entire time. We ate and left ASAP. Very disappointed.

    Location and scene is odd given the upscale of the menu and pricing. Ordered a Long Island and was hands down one of the worst drinks I ever have had, on top of pretty slow service for a place that was not even 25% full. Value for what we ordered (2 burgers, appetizer) was also disappointing given the quality was average at best.

    I realize the restaurant was short staffed as so many are these days but the restaurant left very little to be desired. The staff was friendly but not very accommodating. Part of the order was incorrect and most of the food was mediocre at best. My husband did enjoy the salmon. That was the highlight of our meal.

    I was a little disappointed with the choices on the menu. There wasnt much to choose from but I assume its because of lack of workers etc. We both ordered the hamburgers which were very good but I was hoping for more seafood selections. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly.

    Our server was very attentive and helpful with suggestions for a better dining experience. Every dish the chef prepared was outstanding. There was not a lot of choices on the menu, but there was something for everyone (we had a party of 8). The chef’s special dessert was not like anything I have ever had before-very creative and delicious!

    First ones to sit down. Minimal interaction with waitress. I’m guessing GM greeted us and took our order. Burgers we’re perfect. Exactly as we ordered. Hats off to the kitchen.

    UGH - terrible. We brought a friend visiting from Germany and we had terrible food. Cold muscles, cold hamburger, remade hamburger was raw, asked for extra crispy fries and received undercooked over salted fries. Service was subpar as well. So sad to write this (we've only been to the Port Sheldon location which was consistently delicious) We will not return here.

    We had a group of 6 who ordered several drinks, calamari fries (tasteless), shrimp cocktail (3 shrimp), pierogi (4 small pierogis), hanger steak, one of which was undercooked (rare) and sea bass. The food was average and will probably not return.
