The Sandbar is unique because of its ocean view and cool vibe. We biked there from Atlantic Beach and locked up in the parking garage on ground level. Stairs from the parking garage end at the hotel pool and the Sandbar. Staff is great. Decor is great. Seating inside is great. Outside option is bar top along the railing overlooking the boardwalk, Jax Pier, and the Atlantic Ocean. The bar top is always in the shade.

We were seated near the pool and frequently thoughtless guests exited the pool area and allowed the gate to close with a loud and very disturbing bang. Sounded like a gunshot. Very disruptive to conversation and relaxed eating. Other gates had a mechanical slow closing device, but this one did not. If you must go to this restaurant, I would suggest sitting at the front row facing the ocean away from the pool area. Waitress was very nice and understanding and spoke to the manager about this problem. He, too, was understanding and maybe it won't be an issue for future diners. We will not be a future diner.

Although the food was great, there was a limited brunch menu and they were out of (2) of the 6 or so items listed which made it hard to have selections

The wait for the food was extremely extremely long and our kids were getting super hungry and fussy. It was good but probably won’t be back

The food was delectable and the views were fantastic! This restaurant is connected to a hotel on the beachfront, so there is a mix of customers. Overall, it's classy, chic, and a fun place to meet up with friends and/or celebrate someting special.

If you are looking for more of a coffeeshop experience with no coffee. this is it. Food was OK. Service was friendly and relaxed, a bit too much for my taste. View was great. Very casual and hotel like. Prices were reasonable for beach view property. No white wine or coffee? Not sure if standard or only that day.

Absolutely, fantastic experience… between the service, table placement and the doors being open, and we could feel the beautiful breeze, to the food that even my kids ate every single bite of, this was a wonderful dinner!

Good service Avocado toast very different from others. Slices of avocado. Eggs Benedict came without fries and server said didn’t except said did on menu. She checked with manager and found we were correct. Bottle for mimosas came with OJ in small plastic cup. But it’s worth it for the view of the ocean
