   Very disappointed. Ordered the « fettuccine gamberi » : got a plate full of tomato sauce with fettuccine inside, and 2 prawns (not king prawns as written on the menu) who seemed to be frozen ones, with absolutely no taste. The waiter kindly offered me a change for a new plate with less sauce and more prawns, what I got, but they still didn’t have any taste and didn’t even finish my plate. Same for the chorizo which tasted more like a fat sausage than chorizo, nothing really tasted, even the tomato sauce. The staff are kind and attentive, but there's nothing more they can do with products of such poor quality.

   We were greeted warmly by friendly staff, and taken straight to our table, even though we were early. We had a great table right by the window, overlooking the beach while the sun set. We enjoyed our meals and the Shaw & Smith Sauv Blanc was excellent - my new favourite! The owner was visiting every table to check in and chat with all diners, which we really appreciated. It was a great venue, with great food and service. Would definitely recommend.

   Food was average and prices too high for what we got. Staff was lovely but service was very slow.

   We booked and outside table, not realizing that meant a table by the windows, which could open for a semi outdoor feel. The food was delicious, and service was good.

   What a fantastic place to spend time with friends - gorgeous dining room and every dish looked amazing. Mine was so delicious I can’t stop thinking about it days later. The team who looked after our large group booking were just amazing, they really made the evening work. I’m so pleased with my experience here and highly recommend it.

    Due to a change in Cruise itinerary we ended up in Airlie Beach again - so pleased we were again able to book Sandbar. Paul and his team did not disappoint - fabulous food and they take time to talk to you! Will always make a point of going there, when we are in town
