Food was great, service from our host Nina was outstanding. Booked with OpenTable but unfortunately got the feeling they had no record of our booking, even though the staff tried their best to hide it and thankfully were able to accommodate us.
We got there before sunset and enjoyed admiring the animals strolling around outside. There are night-vision binoculars as well though for after dark.
Portions were generous and the food was excellent.
If I could change one thing - the restaurant would seem more upmarket if diners were dressed less casually, but don’t know if that is standard for Florida/ Disney restaurants... So no need to get too glammed up!
Third dinner here while in Disney World! Absolutely love the naan bread sampler, a must have app. Disappointed to find out they no longer offer my favorite, Tandoori Chicken, but what can you do. Had a Brianyi inspired chicken dish instead, which was excellent as well! If you are a fan of Indian food, this is a great choice while in Disney World.
Reservations for 830 pm and Waited 45 mins for a table. 2 nights this week. I assume they are overbooking.
So many tastes, do very good!
A formerly hidden Disney World gem that's been discovered. Make sure you have a reservation and get the bread service.
Mother’s Day lunch
Food was great, so was service. The only problem was we made a reservation on Open table for 2:15. Checked in at 2:10 and there wasn't a reservation, even though I had a confirmation email and number. We had to wait 40 minutes before getting seated. Please fix this problem. Thanks so much.
This was the best dinner we had during our 6 night stay! Very flavorful, lots of options, and reasonable prices. We had the complete bread service, scallops, market fish, and fragrant duck and they were all superb! The candy bar dessert was also delicious! We highly recommend it!
Excellent meal. Far exceeded our expectations!
Not many people get the savanna view. Not many varied menu options. Expensive for very small glass of wine.
Nice setup. Very cool to have the animals go by while you're in restaurant. There is also an area to step to view the animals.
We had a reservation, yet had to wait an additional 20 minutes, which we passed the time outside animal watching. The waiter, Pedro, was pretty sarcastic which I didn't care for, but the kicker for me was the length of time it took to get food and the lack of food I was given. The party next to us was seated after we ordered our food yet got their food before us. I also looked at plates of who I was with as well as others near me and the food was lacking. I got was might have equaled a leaf of collard greens and a tablespoon of rice pressed into the plate and sitting under my square piece of fish. I brought it up to the waiter with no resolution. Very disappointing as this was my choice for my birthday dinner and the experience was subpar. Cool environment though, but I am okay with not going back.
Absolutely fantastic!!! From the greeting hello to the farewell and everything in between. Food was delicious!
The food itself is good, especially the bread service, and a welcome change of pace from much of the other theme park food. If you're going for the Savanna view, I would not recommend it. The majority of tables have no view whatsoever, and those that do are on the ground floor level and are thus limited. It's better to plan on viewing elsewhere before or after the meal.
Our service combined with an unnecessarily poorly designed menu were the downfall for our group. There is a section of the menu dedicated to "journey" and "harvest" options. It turns out Journeys are just additional entrees, and harvests are the side dish options for those entrees. The way they are laid out did not make this clear at all. To make matters worse, we had to ask our server for every single soup, side, fish of the day and special individually. This was a lengthy interrogation-like process as there are many vague descriptions in the menu (listing inclusions such as "vegetable" for many items). Even after this process there were still many surprises, such as one meal coming out covered in almonds, so if you have any food sensitivity at all, be sure to list yourself as allergic when making the reservation. We also had to catch our server when she took off after we ordered the bread service but before telling her what dips we wanted. Overall it felt like a lot more work than it needed to be.
Excellent like always!
We loved the full bread service and would go back just for that. Our food was delicious and the waitress was very helpful in helping us decide what to get based on our preferences. The kids had pizza which came uncut and posed a slight challenge. We would go back anytime!
Highly recommend the Naan bread selection, the Butter Chicken, and finish with a wonderful coconut rice pudding. Great place!
Food was good. Somewhat overpriced. Service was efficient but not Disney friendly as expected.
Our reservation didn’t start out as good as it could have, because our table was not ready even though we had booked it in advance...but it was ready within 10 minutes. Initially I was a little concerned that the restaurant wouldn’t be what I had envisioned it to be when I was researching. To be honest, the decor felt a little cheesy. The servers were very friendly but we’re not as attentive as I would have liked. They were slower to greet us and to get our drinks out etc. But they were very nice.
Now, the most important part... the food. The bread naan sampler that we got was to die for. As others have also shared, I would go back just for the bread. Three days later I’m still thinking about it. Our entrées were also quite tasty. I got the butter chicken and loved it. But the bread… Amazing. I repeat… Amazing. I would go back just for the bread. It was that good.
Unfortunately we had an interior table and it was dark outside so we were unable to see any animals but would imagine this to be a super cool place during the day.
Overall I’d recommend.
Be warned, this restaurant does not take open table reservations. Apparently their computer does not communicate with open table. They took us, but we had to wait and had no reservation although I had a confirmation.
Food was good, they had kid options and price was reasonable. Bread plate was great for letting kids try the spices, and was delicious.
My wife and I both have special diets. Chef Fallon came to our table and took our order and fixed our meals as per our restrictions.
Good time good food
I did ask twice for birthday cake for my daughter and they finally did not bring it. Ignore my opentable request for birthday also, ruined my baby’s birthday, she was upset big time. Not for 5-star Four season restaurant experience, very disappointed.
Great service and got to see zebras
