San Remo Ristorante Italiano
Night out with the wife. First, valet parking was a big PLUS, specially being that it’s located in RVC. The restaurant only had about 4 tables occupied; but I guess this was due to Friday and it was bout 8 pm. Nice cozy place, service was quick and very attentive waiter. The food was good overall. We will definitely go back to San Remo and recommend our friends.
Always enjoy the great food and the wonderful friendly service.
It’s was okay
Dinner with friends, who we usually have a lot to catch up on; never felt rushed
Welcoming daughter and son-in-law back from honeymoon. Food pretty good, though not up to past experiences. Service inept rather than past excellence
Always a great experience at San Remo. Excellent, freshly prepared Italian food. Highly recommended.
Food was delicious but service was poor. Asked tree times for more bread and never received it (table next to us got it after one ask). Place was packed though. Probably if you’re a regular you’ll get better treatment. Really delicious though.
Very good food, great service, overall a most pleasant dining experience
This is one of my parents favorite places. I was visiting from out of town and they took me. The food was amazing and the service was GREAT! My parents also commented on how friendly the owner/chef is and he really was. He comes out and talks to his guests.
Always good service! Food never disappoints!
Great menu with lots of options, service was great, nice looking restaurant, and reasonable prices... one of my favorite restaurants in Rockville Centre and highly recommended. Only drawback is that parking can be difficult.
San Remo is our favorite place for fabulous Italian food. When you enter you are transported to Sorrento - The dishes are never disappointing. Always yummy and beautifully plated. Chef Ralph greets his guests like family.
It's my second time at San Remo, the food and service is fantastic. Try it you can't go wrong.
Service and food were good. The noise level was so uncomfortable that we seriously thought about leaving without eating.
Great always great chef is great love the place
We found San Remo to be a very nice restaurant. The food and service staff were very good.
Nice place to eat. Food is good and well presented
Owner chef comes around to greet the guests
The food was excellent. The waitstaff was attentive and courteous.
Very pretty restaurant serving delicious food. The staff was exceptionally attentive.
I have been to San Remo's many many times but if the owner is now there, the place suffers. The service
was horrible, I had stated it was my anniversary, and we were stuffed at a table against the wall, while they
were empty, I thought that was sooo unnecessary. The food was just ok and the order was not right, the
waitress had an awful attitude. If it was my first time there is would have been my last. I would only go
back if the owner was there and if my husband insists, otherwise no way.
We went to celebrate birthdays. The food was wonderful and so was the staff. We totally enjoyed our evening.
We had a very nice time. The food was very good and the service was top notch. It was a little noisy because they had a party seated at the time but that can happen at any restaurant and I didn't let that dampen our enjoyment of the evening.
San Remo is one of our favorite dining choices on Long Island. We bring friends often and everyone makes plans to return. Every dish is prepared and plated with great attention to detail. A price fixed weekday menu includes a terrific variety. Chef Ralph values his clientele and checks on each course to make sure it is perfectly cooked and plated. And the wine list is terrific too!
Excellent food and service, nice atmosphere
For a Friday evening, it was sparse with only 3 other tables filled, which is why the not-so-prompt wait service was disappointing. That said, the food was outstanding and proportions were very good. Their crab cake, shrimp stuffed avocado, and grilled octopus were outstanding as was their osso bucco. Will definitely come back for the food. Though wish service improves and is more attentive.
Food was delicious. Service was excellent. Portions were on the smaller side.
we attend weekly because it is the best Italian style food around. That we know everyone as friends and get amazing service just makes the experience special every time we eat there. I talk it up to anyone who will listen. Thank you for being in our lives.
Ralph and his team never fail to provide a great dining experience. The food was outstanding and the wine was too. Topped off with his Italian cheesecake, this meal was the perfect Father’s Day gift. Their family friendly environment is the icing on the cake.
This was good and I’m just tryIng to get to fifty characters
Initially they lost my reservation and made me wait 15 minutes until I was eventually sat at one of the tables that had been available the entire time I was standing.
After that, it was smooth sailing. I had the seafood salad which was fantastic and tasted super fresh. I followed this up with the filet of sole which was AMAZING.
All was great, except the service was a bit slow and I wish they wouldn't use the Diner type tabs for the butter. The restaurant is classier than that.
This was our first time at San Remo even though we live in RVC. All the reviews I read were true. Food was great as were the prices. We met the chef and owner who came from the kitchen frequently to greet guests. Highly recommend this!
Amazing birthday meal for husband with close fam and friends. Waitstaff is well trained and doesn’t rush, food expectations were high and were met. Ralph the owner comes by to see what if anything is needed. I love this place.
Enjoyed the meal very much. The waiter service could be better-didn't bring out both meals at the same time and when asked about it, was told that there had been a problem in kitchen (I think something dropped) but was never informed of this. Had to wait for other meal to be redone.
Never disappointing. Always welcomed back as an old friend
Seldom that we say: "Exceeded our expectations" but it really did and we were pleasantly surprised. Hosting and serving were warm and friendly, i.e., of people that want you to like them, the place and your experience. We felt very comfortable. For an "Italian American" cuisine, the food was very well prepared and darn tasty we had backed clams and Lobster Bisque for appetizers, stuffed Branzino and a Veal dish for main course and Italian cheesecake and Tiramiso for desert and we couldn't be happier with any of the dishes, Why? You have to try it for yourself. It is a very solid Italian American food experience. In the way out, the staff was gracious enough to thank us for our gratuity for a very pleasant evening.
E had a really good dinner and will be happy to return.
Average restaurant with exorbitant prices. Pasta dishes very expensive and charged $45 for a modest size serving of Dover Sole.
Hands down, had to be the best Italian meal my family and I had ever eaten outside of our own kitchen! Every thing we ordered from the salads to the dessert was beyond fantastic! I'm obsessed! We will be eating there from now on and recommending it to anyone looking for fabulous food!
We made last minute Easter reservations for a party of six, which included two foodies and one picky eater (has to fresh or will not touch it). The food was great and the staff very nice. The foodies were happy, no complaints from the picky eater and there was peace on Easter. We recommend the grilled octopus appetizer. Thanks very much for a great meal - we will be back.
