It is ALWAYS wonderful.
San Pietro is a classic old school NYC Italian restaurant complete with an owner and staff that take you back in time with both their service and the authentic quality of the food - especially the home made pasta dishes. I thoroughly enjoyed the Bucatini Amatriciana - just like my grandmother from Calabria used to make :)
The food was so so the restaurant was empty the food was fair the service was very good , but boring
Classic northern Italian cooking in a nice setting. Perfect for a business meal or for a special occasion. Service is very good with about a dozen off the menu items. A special was the St. Joseph pastry in honor of the holiday. Been here several times before and would certainly return.
Great selections of food and drink, great staff, great ambience, great presentation. For me the BEST Italian restaurant in the region.
Their special is as long as their standing menu! We got zucchini flower stuffed with crab meat, prosciutto with fig and buffata as starters. Spaghetti with clams and the famous Sunday dinner. I was soooo full that I can't squeeze the dessert down! Delicious is not enough to describe the meal. Special remark to the zucchini flower. We travel a lot and quite a few times to Italy. I have to say this meal really brings us back. I haven't even had a zucchini flower done that well. Perfectly stuffed so they still look like flower and sauteed just perfect so that they keep the bright yellow color. Wow. That dish is the theme of the day. If this dish is still available when you go, definitely order it!
You guys have done an amazing job during Covid! Thanks!
Best Italian in New York. Listen carefully to the specials as that's what 90% of the regular patrons order.
The staff is among the very best in the city!
great seat spacing...attentive service...fine food...enormous wine list with kind guidance from owner..attractive decor..worth a return visit
9:30pm reservations. We arrived on time and had to wait 25mins to be seated. 20mi s to get water. 220mins for menus, which we finally had to ask for. The waitstaff was nice but there seemed to be no method to the slowness! It went all night. We got there at 9:30pm. Didn’t leave til 1:00am. It was laughable
Valentines Day. Super expensive. Got stuck there for 3 hours because service was so slow
Lovely place. Service was a little off as they had only just opened after a long lay off but they pulled out all the stops to make it a very nice meal. We would go back.
Great world class Italian cuisine.
This is not your weekly pasta restaurant.
Delicious taste from anything on the menu. The service and covid protocols were very good.
Bring your best credit card and don't look at the prices.
Could do better at half the price at virtually any other Italian restaurant in NYC.
Wait staff was exceptional.
Excellent food.. service... I give it a 10!!!
Because of some construction a little hard to find but excellent dinner. Fish was perfect and service terrific. A little on pricey side but worth it.
Fantastic hosts, food and service as always.
Perfect!!!!! Our intimate gathering couldn’t have been better!!!!!!
Aways top notch. We love San Pietro.
Its the best Italian in NYC!
Food and service was outstanding as usual.
Outdoor setting doesn’t have as much protection from the elements as some other restaurants, but they had some portable space heaters and the weather wasn’t too cold that evening.
Way way too overpriced. The service was fine but the food was not very good and the bill was tremendous.
Great food (expensive though)! wonderful ambiance.
San Pietro is truly an amazing restaurant- a beautiful setting, gracious and professional staff and food that is truly unequaled.
It is a magnificent dining experience.
Service was a bit slow and we were the first people there. I understand issues with covid but they were out of the appetizers they mentioned were their specials. Pasta was hard and calamari extremely salty. They did make a good espresso martini but that was about it. Hopefully covid was just affecting the food but there was no reason for the slow service.
Had a combination business and celebration dinner and everything was magnificent. Extensive wine list with excellent food. Everyone was really happy with the choice.
Superb! Geraldo & his staff know the true meaning of service. A+
It was great as usual. It has a very nice outdoor space as the sidewalk on 54th St is very wide.
One of NYC finest Italian meals... service impeccable!
