Exceptional service. Our waiter was excellent and very pleasant. Food is outstanding
Our dinner at San Pietro was lovely - the pasta with short ribs and the monk fish were fantastic specials. The staff is very attentive and polite, and the owner makes you feel so special!
Absolutely amazing. I would recommend this place to everyone.
Fantastic! Highly recommend. Our Matradee Manolo was excellent. Food was great.
Absolutely lovely restaurant and would definitely come back! The risotto was fabulous. The maitre de was very sweet and really made our meal special. A New York gem!
Celebrated my engagement dinner and was very impressed. Staff was incredibly accommodating. Cannot wait to visit again on my next NYC trip!
Charming place. Service was great and food was excellent.
San Pietro is a special occasion restaurant, but I love the decor, food and service. We don't live in NY but go there occasionally when visiting. We usually split the spaghetti pomodoro (which is very very good) and I have the salt-crust baked bronzino, light and delicious. The prices are very high but it is a mid-town Italian restaurant, so to be expected.
Simply a delightful evening. Food , service and ambience were all supportive of an enjoyable evening. We’ll return often
Food was pretty good, but the service was EXTREMELY slow.
The restaurant was out of like half the menu.
Server brought the wrong items 5 times.
They do all bills by hand, everything is basically made up by the server. No accountability on items.
The staff was incredibly friendly, the ambiance was off the chart and the food was phenomenal !!!
We had fun. Not the best Italian food in nyc. Tables very cramped together. My husband repositioned his chair to accommodate for the adjacent table. For the price, I would have expected better.
Beautiful restaurant with amazing food. Sadly, the table service is poorly lacking. And the noise level is like sitting on an airport runway.
Best Italian Food in City and civilized excellent service! Quiet too - the best.
As always a wonderful lunch! The best food and service....with a dash of Cheer!
Loud, louder, loudest.
Unfortunately, a party of 40 energetic celebrating diners overwhelmed everyone else.
Incredible service. Good off the charts. Atmosphere perfect for a warm winter lunch. Can’t be beat.
San Pietro always delivers exceptional
service and food. Manny is a master host!!
A first class restaurant in every way: great food, beautiful ambiance, etc. Service can be a little slow, but is very friendly.
Manolo and his team runs one of the finest Italian restaurants in New York City. It’s always a outstanding experience. Scott
Fabulous! We’ve been coming to NYC once a year for the past 8 years and dining at San Pietro is always on our list.
This is a very nice little restaurant and relatively quiet (so a great place for a business discussion). However, the value is a little "off". The prices here have gone crazy, even by midtown NY standards. $60 for veal scaloppini? $39 for Rigatoni with a little ricotta and ragu? Service was also a bit slow and they forgot to bring one item we ordered - a coffee.
Again, I think it's very nice, but I can't give it 5-stars. I also think they may start to lose on repeat customers if they don't readjust the pricing on the menu. There are many nicer restaurants in the neighborhood now with more reasonable prices.
Lousy service. 20 minutes no drink order or menus, they comped wine, poor wine selection from them. Salmon was raw in the middle, not cooked. They ended up taking that off bill. Server, elder gentleman, spoke such broken English we had no idea what he was saying most of his talking. Just a absolute disgrace
My wife and I visited San Pietro while on a vacation in NYC to see a couple of shows. We had a wonderful experience, from beginning to end. The staff was amazing - every single person on the staff helped us at some point during our dinner, and they worked tremendously hard the entire time we were there to ensure that every guest received excellent service. The food was delicious and perfectly prepared. We will definitely be back the next time we’re in town!
Loved Menola who greeted me when I arrived and served me. The inside of the restaurant was very attractive and looked very clean. The table settings and
fresh flowers also made the setting very attractive. The food was absolutely terrific and I would certainly go to this restaurant again. Thank you open table for making reservations. You always are very helpful when I need reservations.
The good was good. However, the pricing was ridiculous. I ordered a special that was described orally. I didn't think to ask the price. It was four times more expensive than the items on the menu ($125 for beef medallions). If our bill had come out at 50% of what was charged it still would have been relatively expensive.
Outstanding food, service and atmosphere! Highly recommend
I don’t write reviews, and if I do I’m very careful to write a bad review because I owned and ran a restaurant so I know how difficult it can be. First off, the food is good quality, the room is nice and the hostess pleasant. That’s the good news. The bad news is the service and attitude of the waiting staff. It was noticeable how attentive they were to the table of 6 business people spending lots of money on the table next to us. On the other hand our service was desperate, despite the hostess coming around a couple of times to see if we were ok. That didn’t make it ok. The waiting staff were dismissive and not interested. The bill for 2 glasses of house wine, 2 pastas and 2 desserts was the wrong side of $180. I made my displeasure clear but their was no apology and no contrition. In my view as a former restauranteur, that is unforgivable.
The service was outstanding, the food was excellent. Always a delightful experience at San Pietro!
