Wines by the glass at San Pietro this week
Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot/Cabernet Franc/Malbec/P. Verdot
Authentic tasting Italian restuarant. Out standing service great tasting food and wine. The resturant has a great decor and atmosphere. I would definitely recommend my wife and I enjoyed everything.
We had a wonderful experience at San Pietro. I hadn't been there in about 10 years (I used to work in the neighborhood and dined there often) but it is still as good as ever. The service is outstanding, the food is wonderful and when we asked our waiter for a wine recommendation, he simply brought a bottle of Cabernet to our table and it was perfect for our meals and reasonably priced. I'll have to get back there again, but not wait 10 years.
Excellent and very friendly. Will return soon. The staff was entertaining and efficient.
Amazing food. Great service. Expensive.
Excellent food in an attractive setting. A midtown jewel that serves authentic Italian fare in a clubby setting. Excellent service.
Delicious food! Great wait staff. Very expensive!!
Incredible food and service. Leave it to Manulo to chose your food. He is TERRIFIC!!!!
FABULOUS!!!! FABULOUS!!! FABULOUS!!!! Old world charm with exceptional food and impeccable service. Everything you could want in a meal is in this charming yet vibrant restaurant. extensive menu with over a dozen specials of authentic Italian food, from the olive oil to the slender bread sticks. I highly recommend it.
Impeccable service, a very nice touch. But very expensive.
Wonderful experience! We thoroughly enjoyed talking with the owner and will definitely come back next time we are in NYC.
The service and food at San Pietro was excellent. It had been several years since I've eaten at this restaurant but everything was just as remembered.... great food, great wine, great service. Will definitely be back again soon ... Thank you so much for making a memorable evening
Manolo is spectacular! really makes you feel at home! and the food is excellent!
Great service, decent food - not great, way over priced
San Pietro is one of the bets Italian restaurants the we have ever eaten in. The experience starts with a very elegant dining floor and an eclectic mix of clientele. The head waiter recites the specials and delicacies forwards and backwards in a thick Italian accent – it’s a pleasure just to hear him speak. The food is delicious.
Expensive but well worth it.
Absolutely the best service and quality of Northern Italian food in NYC, bar none! The service is impeccable, in fact when we arrived there were more servers than patrons, which did change as the evening progressed. But the wide selection of choices, which the chef willingly alter if requested was amazing.
Every time I am in town for business I visit San Pietro and old favorite that has been every bit as good as over 20 years ago when i started dining there.
Cenamos delicioso, comida caliente, rica, balanceada, nos encantó.
Tal vez lo único que nos decepcionó un poco fue el postre de mousse de frambuesas, sin sabor impactante.
El tiramisu una delicia y el café también muy rico.
We have dined at San Pietro numerous times, and once again, the food and service were impeccable. Our pasta and seafood dishes were beautifully prepared with the freshest ingredients. One of the top Italian restaurants in NYC, hands down.
Authentic Italian cuisine, lovely decor, and amazing service. You will not be disappointed!
Excellent service from the moment you enter the restaurant. Great variety of menu items plus daily specials. Will always enjoy for dinner on my trips to NYC.
I had dinner with my wife, Daughter and three grand children. The service was outstanding as well as the food.
If your looking for a place to eat in the midtown area, this is the place to eat at.
Very accommodating; excellent food for a high price. Tables nicely spaced, and noise level is not too high to carry on a private conversation. Portions are on the small side, but satisfying.
Great food. A bit noisy. Service was not especially attentive but perhaps because the crowd is filled with movers, shakers and regulars. Excellent wine list. Bring money .
What a wonderful menu. The food and service are absolutely top notch at this restaurant.
Food and service were great. We added to our party after we arrived and they were more than willing to accommodate the change. Great service and food. Staff were all great. Thank you.
The noise level was not energetic it was too loud. But other than that the food was excellent in the restaurant was wonderful.
The food was excellent, and the recitation of the specials is a performance to savor. I allowed them to pick a wine for us, and got what i deserved: a superb wine at a ruinous price! Overall the place is very expensive, but if i had been on an expense account, it would have been pure pleasure. The decor is elegant kitsch. The service was terrific with the minor exception that the waiter seemed to be put out of sorts when he asked if he could remove the bread, and we said we’d like to keep it. I think it ruined the rhythm he considered essential to fine dining. Im not sure he ever recovered. At it’s peak, i thought it was a bit loud, and i had some trouble hearing my dinner companion. But maybe i’m just old and going deaf.
Food is good, but was expecting more. The ambiance is cozy but a little bit loud (too many groups talking).
It was great. My only issue is they highly recommend a bottle of wine they were selling for $120 which I later found available in stores for $14. The food was delicious and the people were very nice. Just expensive (even given NYC standards), $600 for 2 adults, 2 seniors, and 2 children (including the 1 bottle of wine & 20% tip).
As always a great Authentic Italian meal. My go to for Italian when in the city
the food and experience is exceptional, however I became very unhappy recently with price inflation on our order. The appetizer carpaccio my guest ordered was charged as an entrée price, the special appetizer was $36 per order, a little steep. Food always good but I had the overwhelming feeling I was being hustled, which may prevent me from returning. three days later I am still unhappy. Someone at the restaurant tried to call me but I wasn't interested in speaking to them at the time.
Great food a special festive place
Everything was very good, service, food and ambiance. A little pricey even for this part of town.
We had a lovely meal before a show. The service was impeccable! Old world style. We loved it. Had a wide range of people there also - 84 years old to 13. They were great with all of us and food the was fabulous. Delicious!
We had wonderful food, although not the best in the City. Great wine list, but like the food, very high priced. (Main dishes are $50 and above!) Friendly, attentive staff.
Great food and service.
Authentic Italian food and excellent service. A little pricey but very nice overall
Owner Gerardo is wonderful but Maitre d' is overbearing. Probablt not go back.
As first-timers, we enjoyed our early evening here with a very warm welcome and equally very pleasant surroundings along with a great chance to quietly review our busy day. The dinner crowd began arriving shortly, which seemed to be made up of many highly-recognized regulars. The wine selection was impressive...almost overwhelming, but the lowest priced wines were $75/bottle and just a few of them. We both chose wonderfully prepared salads that were accompanied with a warm crusty bread. Our two pasta entrees were very good with a mix of flavors as described in the menu. The staff was responsive and the service was outstanding with almost a sense of being hovered over...at times I almost felt hurried. We passed on dessert and coffee given a mid afternoon sugar stop, but were very temped. Overall, a very nice evening although a pricey one. I’d rather have departed this experience without being so aware of the cost.
Food was very good Italian, service was tremendous. I would just say that its overpriced for what it is, i’ve Had equally good Italian in NY at 20-30% lower prices in a similar setting, with a less confounding wine list.
