There was no place inside for my handicapped father to sit while we waited to be seated for 15 minutes. The waitress brought me the wrong order had to wait another 15 minutes. There were children screaming and running around the entire time and no server or manager said a thing. I took my father there for his birthday but we left before he had gotten his birthday cake because it was so bad. The food when it came correcty was excellant and i felt bad for our server because she was running all over the place. We will return but we will sit outside or do takeout so we can eat in peace.

If you have been to The San Pedro Fish Market IN San Pedro expect the complete opposite of that experience at this location. The view is amazing but that’s about it. Our server had obviously been confronted by this issue before and handled it with grace and professionalism.

I was so excited to try this place and therefore was very disappointed. The service was terrible. There were several tables that complained on how slow the service was. In fact in our section, the server went on a break and she told us she was going on a break and told us that if we need anything just flag any of the other servers. Well no one came over in the area. I had to get up and go to the bar to get help. The food, was also not good except for the Civeche which was fresh and tasty. We had fish and chips and the fish tasted fishy and was dry. We also have the shrimp platter with the butter and garlic seasoning and it had no flavor whatsoever. I went to talk to the manager for help since I was trying to pay my bill and frankly it was clear that he was overwhelmed and did not know what he was doing. Terrible experience and will not return.

Had to ask someone that we were ready to order. Had to get up to get extra lemons after asking the waitress for some. Had to ask for our extra side orders. At the time of our visit there, it was not that busy so I don't know what the problem was with our waitress.

Food was delicious, my family and I had a great time. But I had issues with some surfaces feeling sticky and grimy such as the stairway handle rail and the top of the chairs. I brought plenty of handwipes and hand sanitizer but I had 2 young kids that were touching everything and it made me cringe and constantly clean their hands because we were going to be eating WITH our hands. The bathrooms could also use some attention. One didn't have any toilet paper and seat covers, the other didn't have toilet paper and paper towels. The 3rd was occupied. Our server was wonderful, she saw my grandma looking cold and offered to turn on the heater above our table. Overall, I would still probably go again but I will be prepared with more wipes and napkins.

All we can say about Tawanna is WOW!. She is what you call a top shelf server. Very professional, kind and very upbeat. She is the reason we keep going back. As for the gal and guy that seated us sorry we didnt get his or her name but they were rude and in a rush and we felt as if we were bothering them. The only reason we would go back is for the service from Tawanna. She deserves to be at the top of the list for the servers. Thanks again Tawanna for making my mother in laws late mothers day dinner a great one.

our daughter’s college graduation family gathering dinner. waited was condescending and slow. at one point told us we were wrong about a wine we received that was wrong. i ordered a Hess Chardonnay downstairs and saw it poured from the bottle. upstairs at the table i ordered another one. it was not the same wine. colors were not same and taste not same. waiter accused me of having it wrong, and said “i have a pretty good bartender”? our table was right across from the bathroom which doors were open…gross. all drink orders were slow. and we were on upstairs right next to the upper bar. waiter slow. put in our order of two shrimp platters and it came out with no vegetables. waiter blamed it on the cooks? said he’d bring us sides of vegetables. they came super late and uncooked. we were almost done with our shrimp. hardly saw our waiter and had to get up to get napkins and things that were wrong on our order. horrible horrible horrible. nothing like the San Pedro fish market in San Pedro. no peeling of the shrimp. garlic bread soggy and no taste. never so disappointed in a meal in a long time. service really could have helped the situation but he was ill suited to be a waiter and was not tentative or professional. not a good representation of your restaurant people. never coming back.

Overall, we had a decent experience. I was really looking forward to ordering a tray. Got an extra lobster as an add on but it was tough from being over cooked. Added on the crab legs which were great. My son ordered pancakes that tasted like dough. Everything else in the tray was good and fed about 5 people. The lady serving us was sweet but not as attentive as I would have liked but my expectations were somewhat low for a fish market. First time but we’ll likely be back.

Reviews hit harder, than me being a difficult, complaining customer, which I'm not to begin with, so, let's begin. Made reservations online, checked in, no issues or difficulties, seated right away. Surprisingly not as busy for mother's day weekend. Sat there for 20 minutes with servers passing by before I got help. Placed my order. Side came out before drinks. Drink came. Entree came some time after. Added a lobster to the shrimp plate, finished the side, drink, entree, lobster never came, manager came to apologize for the delay, told her to cancel the lobster/ take it off the bill, no offer for discount or anything. Place is big, location is where Joe's crab shack used to be. Love this area of long beach for the view and ambiance. Chowder - thick, not much clams, not much flavor. Shrimp plate - got the garlic and savory seasoning. Mainly only taste the cajun spices, lots of potatoes. Garlic bread was good. For price, decent with amount of food/ starch if you fill up on carbs. Diet pepsi - cold, refreshing, bubbly Lobster - I don't know, never came. Overall - meh...curiosity/ craving scratched and fixed. Not interested in coming back. Plenty of other great locations in long beach and neighboring areas if you are craving seafood. Not worth the hype. ✌

We met our grandson, wife and baby Noah. It was a Wed. evening and a beautiful evening. We sat on the upstairs patio. We ordered the shrimp platter and the Mangonada drink. Both were so good.

It was our first time there. We had gone to the Fish Market in San Pedro for years. While Long Beach is not the same experience, we had a great time and will be back for sure.

host staff in charge of seating was very unfriendly and unaccommodating. we didnt feel welcome at all. even with a prior reservation, the hosts refused to let us sit away from a high traffic area and far away from other guests when many other indoor seats were available. perhaps to intentionally alienate my family and i. our server was much nicer and gave us a much better table. overall food was good value marred by the first impressions of host staff.

I was excited to try a new place. Disappointed on our table server she was not friendly. she seemed to be annoyed every time we asked about the menu. she did not go over how the food preference and if we had choices of different ways of cooking the platters. I was very disappointed overall.

Unfortunately, our server was nowhere to be found and I had to fetch the manager to get us started off. Our server seemed to be upset because her tables were not being clean, but that should not have an impact on how you treat your other parties. It took forever to get our drinks and it seemed like different staff would come to our table to drop stuff off. Decided to order a large lobster tail from downstairs and for some reason, they had served us a tiny lobster. I had to fetch the manager and it just seemed like there was a lot of miscommunication in the back. I didn’t understand how they had mistaken that since I had gone downstairs, picked the lobster tail myself and made sure the cashier had confirmed with me because they had done this in the past where I had picked the large tail and they switch it for some reason. Our rest of the food (shrimp tray, calamari, Brussels sprouts) came out late and cold. By the time we were done, our lobster tail came out, but we cancelled it because of the long wait. Our server was no where to be found. We didn’t get refills on our drinks or asked if we wanted another beer etc. I can see her just walking around the bar area and sitting down when she had the chance. Everything was terrible, so if you decide to come here, good luck. I think you’re better off going to the actual fish market in San Pedro and ordering yourself

We were sat. It took a while for the server to take our order. Then it took longer for us to get our order delivered to our table. Our party consisted of two people. There were bigger parties that were sat after us that received their drinks and food while we were still waiting for just our drinks.

We were really disappointed with the service and menu. There is no reason to make a reservation. There were people with no reservation that arrived after us and were seated in better seats before we were seated. They put us right by the stairway upstairs and it was so loud from the waitresses in Doc Martins stomping up the stairs right next to us. There were many other options for tables but they wouldn't change our table. We were long-time fans of the location in San Pedro but this was pathetic in comparison. I could have probably dealt with the bad service if the food was good but it was mediocre at best.
