Had not been to San Pedro for awhile and felt they did very good given being understaffed and very busy !
everything went well. reservation was honored & the food was great!
Drove up from San Diego just to try this place out . We loved the shrimp, calamari and fish tray. Added the corn and spicy sausage. Delish! Plus our waitress (forgot her name) was super nice and funny too! Will definitely be back again.
Excellent food, great atmosphere and beyond all great view
Not all reservations are equal. Found out that we would need to be more specific about where we might want to sit to ensure we have a table in a certain location.
The reservation process was fast! We bought a tray with lobster fish and shrimp. The shrimp was very tasty. The lobster didn’t seem like it was enough for the price and the fish filet had no flavor at all. So next time we’re probably just sticking with the shrimp.
The only problem is the potatoes were under cooked, other than that experience was great
Food is always great and delicious. I have been going to the San Pedro fish market for years. I think the Long Beach location is the best one so far. It has two floors both with outside patio, you get a great view of the Marina.
Went thinking this would be a great place to eat some good seafood. We were wrong. We got seated easily enough but had to wait for our server who was the bartender as well. On top of that had to wait for drinks and to order food. Once food was ordered seems they forgot to make our food and we waited just for the appetizer for over 30 min. The fish (which was probably another 20 min wait)came out way over cooked and just not good. For what I paid we won’t be coming back. A side note would have been if someone just helped the bartender maybe it wouldn’t have been such a bad experience but still they need to train their cooks better on how to cook fish!
Ordered a tray of lobster and clams. The lobster was not cooked well enough it was so difficult to pull out from the shell and the clams were cracked open not naturally opened when cooked. So when I picked out a few clams from the shells they were still raw, the the consistency of raw oysters. The waiting service was very apologetic but the kitchen was slow when it came to correcting the uncooked food. We waited a good 45 mins then decided to close our tab and just go with out having our main meal. Only thing was that our server, Cambria, was real pleasant and nice.
Overpriced seafood. Got the build your own try. Got charged for scallops market price but got shrimp instead. We chose the fresh lobster tail but the employee working behind the display got the precooked lobster without asking us. Lobster is as tough and rubbery as can be since it was precooked before and just got reheated. Paid almost $200 not including tip. Will not be going back.
We were there on Sunday, July 18th, at 12pm. Our server was great! The food was a little undercooked, but our server helped us to replace a piece of fish that was still raw. The two hostesses at the entrance were not welcoming at all. We arrived and as we proceeded to walk through the one doorway open, a hostess pushed her way out without acknowledging us. We walked in (after moving out of the way for the hurried hostess) and another hostess standing behind a podium just stared at us. We greeter her and then let her know we had reservations at 12pm and she said "okay just wait outside". We went outside and waited for 10 minutes, then the hurried hostess came back and told us our table was ready. She led us toward a table outside, without a menu, and walked away. We found a menu on the floor, we assumed it had flown away from our table due to the wind, so picked it up and began deciding on our drinks and appetizers. No sign of a server for about 10 minutes. Then finally a server pops up and asked us how we were going to order? We told him it was our first time and we were just looking at the one menu we got from the floor. He finally shared that there was a fish market we could choose from, so we get up and go towards the fish market. Overall, it was a little uncomfortable being there at first. The hostesess were not welcoming or informative at all. We were a little lost on how to order. If it weren't for our awesome server we probably would have been more unsatisfied.
Very good atmosphere and definitely will be back again
You can taste the freshness of the shrimp, fish and calamari! Unfortunately I can't say the same for the lobster. Overall we had a good time.
Was just ok not anything special. Clam chowder was salty and the fried plate just ok. I think the mixed drink was the best. Slow to get changes from kitchen, like extra dressing sauces.
We ordered the shrimp plates and they were very good but too much fried food for the tummy.
Our friends ordered their fish from their fish market and got it grilled then added the sides they wanted, that is the best way order, but either way it was AWESOME
First time visiting the fish market. The food was amazing and so was the service. I love how friendly and patient everyone was considering it was a busy time of the day. We’ll be back!
Clean area. Very good service from our waitress who walked us through the whole experience considering it was our first time there.
Food was fresh and was served in a timely manner. Prices are reasonable and all together a beautiful view and great vibe.
I ordered halibut and it was too too dry (over cooked) and the grill potatoes were uncooked.
Our service was fantastic, view was beautiful and the value was great! Our main course came out a little cool, but they had a few big parties around us. Overall great experience and we’ll definitely be back.
Perfect first time visit on a Monday!
See you again soon SPFM-Long Beach
Good food at accessible prices. I recommend this place to all my friends without reservations
We were seated as soon as we got there, the food was really good and the service was great.
The server was not attentive to our table and he dropped our food on the floor! I guess he was having a bad day or he was a new staff. Nevertheless, the ambiance is great and the prices are good. Therefore, I would recommend it.
Service was great. Towards the end it got busy and got hard to find the waitress to pay, but that was understandable.
Family get together
We ordered tray of fish, shrimp and calamari. Fish and shrimp were delicious but calamari was over cooked. Waitress was good . Overall pretty good, but did take a while to get our food
The clam chowder was over salted, so I had to send it back. The Captain's Tray was under seasoned (basically flavorless) and very over cooked (the oil tasted old), so the seafood was tough and barely edible. Our server tried her best, but the overall service was choppy and inconsistent. We ordered the roasted brussels sprouts which might have been decent had so much of it not been actually burnt. It is unfortunate, we were celebrating a birthday which we left early because the food was not good.
Outstanding service and our food was very tasty. Our server was on top of his game.
Everything was great but customers should have more patience especially since everyone is trying to get back into the groove of everything during this pandemic.
I saw a YouTube video featuring SPFM and was looking forward my visit. The restaurant was nearly empty. Ordered a very bland spicy Bloody Mary. We sat on the patio. Noisy toddlers screaming crying and running wild at almost every table. Ordered the shrimp and swordfish dinners. Food was lukewarm and bland and nothing special. Would have been better off grilling at home. I Notated on Open Table that it was a birthday dinner and wasn’t even offered a dessert menu and felt the server wanted to be anyplace but there👎🏽Won’t be going back👎🏽
One of the worst dinning experiences I have had in a long time. Loud, family's just running around. Food was bland. Service was slow. Screaming children everywhere. It was a never come back ever type of place.
Food was subpar. Ordered a fish plate with two sides but felt more like just one side. Received one piece of zucchini as a side. “Veggies” are mostly onions with a few pieces of tomato and green bell pepper basically fajita mix. Felt like a joke. Service was good ambience was good but will probably not come back.
We had a great time but was not able to move to a different table when asked
The best! Great ambiance and overall food, service, and drinks amazing. Will come back again with more family
Special event buffet was very good. Variety of tasty dishes that went well together. The only thing missing was a selection of desserts. The offering was corn bread with a couple of sauces that were sweet, salty, and really rich in flavor.
Event was misrepresented as a 7 course meal and it turned out to be a buffet. At $125 per person, I expect to be served a fine dining experience not a wedding meal that’s kept in a buffet warmer. The food was not “chef inspired” since it was directly off the menu. Our server was sweet but absent most of the time. Highly disappointed and do not recommend!
Tyler our server was fantastic, food was as well! Take your lady/man/friend there for a GREAT Fish Dinner!
Food was delicious and the bartender was so lovely! Can’t wait to come back again.
Excellent service. Tasty food. Especially our server she was great offer different hot sauce w out asking great service.
