They seated us 30 minutes after our reservation time. The wait staff was extremely disrespectful and failed to explain the menu. We consistently had to flag our waiter down and had to ask other servers to refill our drinks while doing bottomless.
First, we walked in and the blonde, male host was immediately rude. We reserved indoors and got outdoor seating. We mentioned that we reserved indoors, and we were told we could speak to the manager (in an aggressive tone) if we had a problem with our seating. The host escalated the rather benign situation rather quickly. One of the members of our party has a skin issue, so I had requested indoors intentionally. We were not being rude, we just told them we had reserved indoors, nothing too crazy, yet they escalated the issue unnecessarily and we immediately felt unwelcome.
The female hostess was nicer and moved us indoors. Once we were moved indoors, all the others servers were extremely rude to us and even made passive aggressive comments that we “should’ve dined outside” with him. We even noticed multiple waitstaff talking about us. When I explained to manbun we had reserved indoors because of the skin issue he said that he was “just making a joke” and we tried to be nice about it but it was very uncomfortable. They came over multiple times to confirm we didn’t just seat ourselves and we were told our table had been moved by another hostess, which was an embarrassing experience because they were blatantly obvious with their dislike towards us. They skipped serving us on mimosa rounds (we had bottomless) and we had to request many times to have them come refill / one member of our party hadn’t even gotten a first round after 30 min of us sitting.
The whole experience was very off-putting. The male that looks like a knock off Timothy Chalamet was incredibly rude along with the Rutgrat looking blonde host with tattooed legs (rudest of them all with an attitude from the moment I simply said we had a reservation).
The whole experience was very disappointing as we had members of our party traveling from another state to join us for this brunch. Not to mention you are forced to tip 20% if you have a party of 4 off the prefix brunch menu. Definitely don’t recommend
Great experience!! I had my 23rd birthday dinner here and the environment was fun and lively (there was another bday dinner at the table next to us).
The service was great, shout-out to our server Aaron :) Overall great time, would definitely recommend this place to friends and family!
We went for brunch because they have a great brunch deal. However the waiter hardly ever came back to our table over 2 hours. He refilled our “bottomless” mimosas once over 2 hours. We had to get up and ask the hostess for help to get anything we needed (check, refills, water, etc). It was a cute place and a great price but the service made the price less worthwhile.
Absolute worst place. We had a reservation at 9pm. We didn’t get seated until 9:50pm. The waiter spilled a plate of oil/vinegar on my friend’s new shirt and the manager refused to apologize or give some type of free dessert/discount. They said they “might cover it if she brought in the dry cleaners receipt” to them. Poorly ran. Food wasn’t even good. Do not reccomend
Girls dinner! The best bottomless dinner in Manhattan
Food is great. Drinks are light on the alcohol but what do you expect for the price. Also we were a large group. I’m sure they don’t want us getting rowdy. Also it’s really loud. It’s great to try once but not a place I would come to often.
So this was for my 25th birthday and although the overall experience was great and the food was good. Our server was rude and made comments that were unkind. Also, we were rushed out at the end of our meal as there was another group coming that needed our table, which made good experience end on a low note.
Terrible service, sat us 30 minutes after our reservation did not honor the pre fixe deal and could hardly get our waitress’ attention.
EAT HERE! I celebrated my birthday here with some friends and it was so much fun. We had the nicest waitress, constantly refilled our bottomless mimosas. A little overpriced but the food and mimosas were good. Overall, had a good time!
We did the bottomless mimosas for a fixed price of $27/ person and it was incredible. The food was outstanding, the drinks were kept flowing, and the atmosphere was energetic. Our server, David, was a ton of fun and was very receptive to what we wanted to do as well as super attentive to our table. I also have a nut allergy and they were very accommodating to that.
Great bottomless brunch deal! Love the ambiance of the restaurant with open windows. Definitely recommend making a reservation as it was very busy on a Sunday afternoon.
The food was delicious, nut it was so noisy that we were glad that we could leave.
Great for bottomless brunch if doing mimosas. However, if you don't want mimosas for dietary reasons you are required to spend $20 on food even though the food menu items have prices and you also need to pay additional for the type of beverage you'd like. The food was amazing and it was a great deal IF you are doing the bottomless mimosas!
If you want affordable but still delicious brunch in nyc, this is your place. Only an hour and a half for bottomless mimosas but our server was ON IT with the refills. Great environment, and you definitely need a reservation.
Our waitress was rude and abrupt. She did not seem to have time for us and was not interested in providing any kind of customer service.
Food is delicious, but the fixed price menu really isn’t worth it. I would only go for a casual meal with a few friends, and try going somewhere else for a larger lunch or dinner! Plus, the space is very tight and service is extremely pushy.
The hostess on duty was completely rude and her behavior was unacceptable. She was the brunette who treated us poorly and her behavior was inexcusable.
They were able to accommodate 20 of us and the table was ready to go when we arrived! The brussels sprouts appetizer was to die for, and the pasta was solid.
One of my favorite restaurants for a birthday dinner. Such a great deal with the unlimited sangria and plate of pasta. Always a good time.
Great for birthdays with a large party!
Extremely slow service. Very unfriendly staff. I would not recommend.
Great for group dinners!
Great birthday spot!
Great spot for brunch with big groups! Not good for kids during brunch hours on Saturday or Sunday.
If you’re coming here for bottomless, turn around. If you’re coming for good food, enjoy!
I love the food here and the prices! I went for brunch on a Sunday and then dinner on a Friday. On Friday our waiter was rude and messed up a few of our orders. We had to wait a while for him to come over to us. Hopefully next time I have a better waiter.
Amazing brunch place! Cheap food & cheap drinks! Staff is very friendly and is on top of refilling drinks! I always come here for brunch (dinner is great too)!
We didn’t get our table until 30 mins after reservation but the food was amazing and excellent value!
This was our fourth time at San Marzano and we were not impressed by the service. It has really taken a hit over the past few years and the waiter was extremely rude. He was also working behind the bar so it seemed he had no time to help / assist our table, which was inconvenient especially when were sat 15 minutes late and immediately told we had to be wrapped up within 1.5 hours exactly.
Staff was very rude and snobby. Food was average, especially the appetizers, which looked like they put as little effort into it as possible. It was hard to track down the staff to get drink refills even though we were there for bottomless drinks. The staff must have said at least 4 times that they were swamped with people. Don't book so many reservations if you cannot handle it. They were very eager to kick us out of the table as soon as we were finished eating, and we were a 10 person party so it was not exactly like we weren't giving them business. The wine was good though when it actually came, but it was a celebratory birthday dinner and having rude staff rush you through your one night off with your friends is not exactly how you want to enjoy a dinner. Sorry next time I will just drink wine at home.
Great pasta. Good group pricing
Table by the door FREEZING because front door check closes SLOWLY.
Ridiculous policy to charge us for 7th person who cancelled when they had set us up at a six Person table to begin with
Amazing experience with a group of 12 people. Our waitress was amazing. Our food was delicious and we had a great time! Highly recommended
Fab place , great service and food was Ace!!!! For an hour and half of booze, starters and main it's amazing quality and would highly recommend!
Always love San Marzano! Great food for the price you’re paying, perfect for large groups.
Great prix fixe dinner deal and great food. It’s just so loud in there it’s hard to have conversations
The food was great value for the price - Can't beat a $27 bottomless brunch that includes an entree (you can get pasta!). I will say that they are in dire need of a vestibule out front because we just kept getting cold air blown at us the whole meal as people came in and out, my friends even had to leave their coats on.
Kind of expensive for pasta dishes but it was a nice bday tread
Host was rude. Rushed us.
