Our reservations are for 2-hour time slots. We do our best to accommodate as many guests as possible, so please be considerate of other diners when you are finished with your meal.
Thought the food was off tonight. Been much better other time been there
Consistently delicious and the craft cocktails consumed were exactly what we wanted.
Great place to catch up with long time friends! Great food, great wine with Great Friends!
Awesome! Food was amazing and service was great
Best ambience. Best food!
Long wait for main course. All staff seemed put out by having to serve us. I took my girlfriend here for her birthday.
We chose San Fermo after hearing and reading many positive accounts of the food and setting, and were not disappointed. On a busy Saturday evening it did take a little while to get seated and noticed by the waitstaff, though I give her credit for informing us that our entrees might take a while, as the kitchen puts out dishes in waves. When our order came we were won over by the terrific ragu and wonderful risotto. We also loved the apricot salad (which used peaches instead) and the olive appetizer. Recommended.
Excellent food and service
One of my favorites. Noise level was high on this occasion but my experience usually more on the quiet side. We had a couple of nearby tables that were unusually loud this time. The food is excellent with unusual variations in the Italian theme.
Very nice ambience and a great place for friends or a romantic evening.
So charming, so much anticipation for a major letdown. Empty yet seated at a loud(speaker mounted across), cramped table for 2. Empty. Really could not seat us at the 4 top behind us? Bored, uninspired waiter. Never got his name🤔 pasta was not just overcooked but destroyed. Dense sauce to cover this error. Sauce great! Scallops outstanding.
We had a lovely 17th anniversary at San Fermo. The place is so charming an cozy. Service was great, food was excellent. My only ding on value is we ordered a $100 bottle of Brunello that was overly chilled and lost its nuances. In hindsight, I should have mentioned it. Otherwise, I have been raving about our experience to friends and look forward to a return visit.
While the food and service were both very good, this was a special occasion (birthday for my wife) and I put that one the reservation but there was never an acknowledgement. I was disappointed
Amazing food, atmosphere and service! Our server was very knowledgeable about the food preparations and was very accommodating.
Everything was amazing - one of my favorite places!
Great meal. Old home with lots of style. Had a great time.
Overall, would give this place a 3/5 rating. Our server, while busy, rarely checked on us. Didn’t even check on us during our entree. Our entrees took about 50min to arrive, and the appetizer arrived chilled (20min). The pasta was quite good, and I might return for the pasta. However, because of service/server attitude being poor, I am deterred from this.
We then observed how the restaurant caters to VIP customers. Saw the manager come through twice, bartender twice, server three times. This was all prior to their entree arriving. Honestly, it looked overbearing for the well-known individuals. Their appetizer arrived in 10min and entree in 20min. Hopefully they were only charged the 20% gratuity fee that’s automatically tacked onto the bill....
Overall, I would not choose to go here again.
Great experience from start to finish. We dined on the charming patio, had great cocktails and good. Service was thoughtful and unobtrusive. This has become our go-to spot for romantic occasions.
We had heard San Fermo was amazing so the expectations were extremely high going in. It was an amazing experience! We were seated on the outdoor patio which was so lovely. The ambience was great. It was quiet but had a good buzz from other tables. The lights, ivy covered brick wall, and candles made it so pretty. There were heat lamps as well which was nice. Our waiter was fantastic. Very friendly, funny, and knowledgable. He gave great recommendations! We got the bruschetta and the nectarine mozzarella salad...both were to die for. So fresh and delicious flavors. Everyone really enjoyed their entrees and drinks. The quality is superb! Portion sizes were great. It is a bit pricey, but it is well worth it! the whole dining experience was perfect. Zero complaints.
We love San Fermo! The food and service is always fabulous. Our favorite Italian restaurant in Seattle - and my Italian grandma even approves! 😉👍🏼
I would recommend to a friend for the food, service, and overall value but caution said friend to bring a coat and personal heating device. I just cannot comprehend why restaurants, in Seattle in particular, feel compelled to run the air conditioning at max on a cool evening just because the sun happened to be out that day and it was 72 degrees. Frankly anymore I refuse to eat in any restaurant and pay for a meal when I have to wear a coat and mukluks to be comfortable. I have eaten in France ,Italy, Spain, Croatia,Morocco and Montenegro: all without air conditioning!! The restaurants there never had a problem with not having enough customers because of that! On the plus side we complained to the server and he did comp our wine but still I didn't really enjoy my time there.
My favorite date night place. Food is always amazing, wait staff excellent, ambiance cozy. At first the music was a little loud, but I asked to have it turned down a bit, and staff graciously complied.
I always enjoy San Fermo. The food is excellent. They change their menus every so often and the reason I gave food a 4 on this reveiw is that I wish there were more pasta offerings that didn't include seafood. As I recall there was only one Pasta dish without seafood. What I did order, the beef cheeks was excellent. Service as always was outstanding.
The food was over the top! Too much slack time between all phases- just a small kitchen with too large clientele at same time when patio is open. It was frankly still worth the protracted waits.
Great intimate and romantic atmosphere, with a dash of restaurant noise. Food was great. Server was nice, respectful, and helpful on selection recommendations. We will definitely be visiting this restaurant again.
San Fermo was all around great, but they were out of both the entrees we initially ordered (scallops and anglinotti). The server was not aware, so had to come back after orders were already placed to ask our second choices.
Very good, very authentic Italian cuisine in a small, charming house setting. Ingredients seem to be fresh and high-quality. We particularly enjoyed the rigatoni with guanciale and the Spaghetti Bolognese. Only complaint: the level of head-banger music was a bit over the top, and made conversation difficult.
Fun and intimate setting. Service and food were spectacular.
This was our second visit to San Fermo, and we weren’t disappointed (well, they were out of the nectarine salad, so a little disappointed).
The menu made it hard to choose, and their dishes are unique, interesting, and oh so flavorful.
Can’t wait for our next visit.
This place is consistently delicious. The melon and prosciutto was so fresh, the bolognese is one of the best ever, and the atmosphere is so welcoming. Highly recommend San Fermo!
Lovely room & patio with authentic Italian dishes - especially classics like Bolognese (amazing) - and seasonal offerings from the farm and sea. Limited menu - pasta-centric - nicely curated wine list and reasonable pricing for the quality of the food. You may not get extremely full - portions are on the smaller size depending on the dish - but a very relaxed and friendly dining experience with delicious food that seems to employ the approach: fewer, fresher ingredients, simply & flavorfully prepared. Perfetto
This is my favorite restaurant in Seattle! Their food is always great and the menu changes often. The location and ambiance is unbeatable. Even when sitting alone at the bar, I've gotten great service.
Love love love this place. This was our third time. 2 dinners and we did a Sunday brunch. The food is unpredictability amazing. Fantastic and creative bar program.
I attached the pics from brunch but dinner was equally and more amazing
Requested a sparkling rose for 24th anniversary and they supplied a very nice pour for both my wife and myself complimentary.. that was very nice. My wife was surprised and loved it! Excellent place will go back for sure!
My first time in Seattle and followed a recommendation.
We enjoyed San Fermo. The menu was limited, but the food was tasty. We ordered bruschetta, split a Caesar salad and two pasta dishes along with a bottle of wine. Was surprised to see a 20% service fee tacked on to the bill. Basically they auto gratuity. That’s too bad because we would have been more generous. I understand auto grat for a large group, but it is a bit presumptuous for a middle-aged couple. It just seemed peculiar. That aside, it was a solid choice for us and we had a nice meal.
Ate at the bar to be seated sooner. Bartender not the friendliest. Smaller portions but excellent food. 20% Tip is automatically added into bill which I am not a fan of. Tip amount should be at the discretion of the customer and could be higher or lower depending on the level of service they receive.
Not REAL Italian in our book
This was our second time at San Fermo and we absolutely love this place! The Carbonara was good but the Bolonagse was great. Make sure to start with some bread and there signature butter, though. So good!!
Sitting on the patio offers a very nice ambiance plus they have blankets if you're cold.
