   Everything about the experience was lovely, the interior of the restaurant is very intimate and leaves you with a sense of ease! The food was beautifully prepared, came out quickly, and met/exceeded expectations!

   San Fermo has a delightful outdoor space and is charming inside. The food and service were good, we enjoyed both. The music playlist was really great but a tad too loud, at least outside. Not a fan of automatic gratuities of 23% for a party of 2.

   The food is very good but we were very disappointed about where we were seated. I’d requested their best table as this was for a graduation from college celebration. We were seated in what was probably the worst table upstairs back corner where our heads were basically hitting the angled ceiling. A booth downstage would have been much better.

   A place everyone needs to visit! Amazing food, and such a great space. Super friendly service. We dined very early so it was quiet but can imagine it might get louder with a full dining room. Loved it!

   We had a wonderful time! It was quite busy for a Tuesday night but our server keep us updated and the drinks and food were phenomenal. Love the ambience, it’s always a lovely treat to spend an evening at San Fermo!

   An upscale, modern take on Italian dining. The restaurant is a converted house with a private but cozy atmosphere. The wine list is predominately Italian with a few Washington and California labels. A full bar is available with excellent cocktails.

    The food was outstanding. We ordered the olives, artichoke, Caesar salad, branzino and lamb ragu. Everything was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The staff was also extremely friendly, we told our server we liked skin contact wines and she let us sample a few of them. It was a great anniversary dinner.

    We had an exceptional evening at San Fermo! From the moment we walked in and sat down to dinner was a wonderful and warm experience. Mac, our server was outstanding!! So attentive, fun , knowledgeable and kind. The food was amazing! Can’t wait to come back!! Thank you so much!

    Amazing Birthday dinner. The staff was very knowledgeable and attentive. We were made to feel well cared for. Wine selection was great. Shrubs for the ones in the party that didn't drink were also amazing. Food tasted as beautiful as it looked. We are definitely coming back and putting at the top of our rotation. We even booked a ticket to there Farm Dinner at their sister location Swan House Farm. Cant wait to see what amazing meal and space they have created.

    San Fermo has some of the best fresh made pasta in the city. The spaghetti bolognese and ravioli with black truffle was divine. It’s a shame they change their menu everyday because I would’ve wanted to go back for a round 2. The ambiance is really dreamy and cozy in a renovated home. It’s a little bit tight on space but that kind of adds to the charm. The service was the only thing that was just ok. Our server was fine but would’ve added to the experience to have someone a bit more proactive about explaining our dishes and anticipating our needs. It’s wasn’t overwhelmingly negative, it was just notable since the rest of the experience was so amazing. Can’t recommend enough! Otherwise

    We come here pretty regularly and for a reason. This place is phenomenal. Each member of staff is super friendly, on it, and seems to really enjoy working there. The atmosphere is so cozy, it’s in a beautifully decorated rustic house in the middle of Ballard. And then there’s the food that’s delicious every single time. We usually get the Caesar salad and share a couple of pasta‘s. They change the pastas seasonally, and they are always incredible. I make sure to take any out of town guest to San Fermo because I know it will be a phenomenal meal and experience because it consistently has been for the past three years that we’ve been going. San Fermo is the best restaurant in Ballard, and one of the best restaurants in Seattle.

    Kindly gave us champagne for our anniversary Our server MAC was exemplary, professional and kind. Would highly recommend them. Seated upstairs; quaint and cozy if a little small Squash was excellent. Black Truffle Ravioli was excellent. The Sardi was good.

    San Fermo was super accommodating when I mistakenly chose an outdoor table rather than an indoor. They were willing to move us inside, but the outdoor table was actually perfect and private and warm on a rainy evening. We really appreciated the hospitality!

    Small menu, big flavors. Branzino with fingerling spuds fried in duck fat. Gnocchetti Sardi. Delicata Agrodolce. I had to google several times to comprehend what was on offer. Max served us with spirit and ease. We ended a memorable anniversary dinner with Parsnip (!) Cake and an Amaro Nonino (on the house). Perfection.

    We were greeted very warmly (and stayed warm with heaters and blankets on the patio). The wine list and cocktails were excellent; I discovered an amazing wine that I had never tried before. Everyone enjoyed their meals so much that there was not a lot of sharing! My baby kale salad and potato ravioli with black truffles were both outstanding, and my son enjoyed his Spaghetti Bolognese.     Such a fun dinner. My son and I sat at the bar and throughly enjoyed each other’s company along with the intimate bar setting group of guests. (Two other people and the bar tender). The bar tender was so friendly and entertaining too. He engaged all the barflies in great conversation. Food was so good. Thank you

    Fantastic culinary experience. Italian fare done right. The spaghetti bolognese was the best we had ever had in the US, and set the bar going forward. The risotto likewise was perfectly executed with exquisite balance between the flavor components as well as perfect creamy texture with al dente rice. Bread and ribollita as apps also hit the spot. Our server recommended great wines also to accompany our dishes, and was in general very knowledgeable as well as fun. As a finale we had the parsnip cake with sour cream and olive oil, and of course that too was super tasty. While the prices were normal for such gourmet dining, the 23% service charge made the cost quite high at around $180 but we still felt it was worth it. Will be back.
