Food is great (I always order the hibachi), I don't eat sushi but everyone says it's the best in town
Just not what I was expecting. The limited menu and the lack of options really hurt them.
It was a great place where it was obvious their was a great deal of pride in quality food and service. My wife and I will be putting it on the calendar again
Our family of 5 enjoyed the miso, salads, calamari, wontons, sushi, hibachi, and surf & turf, as well as tempura ice cream and their special lemon cake. Everything was delicious with beautiful presentations. We took our Penn State Behrend college student for Easter dinner and his birthday. It was a great experience!
Good food, pleasant staff. Definitely would come back. Would recommend to others.
Great little place on the west side. We have been several times and the food quality and service have always been excellent. Easily the best sushi in Erie and the teriyaki and hibachi have been consistently good. Thankful to have such a great spot in town.
My favorite place!! Best sushi in town! I recommend to all my fiends.
Everything about it was good; location, food, service, decor... loved it all! I had been wanting to go since they opened and it was even better than I expected.
My family enjoyed the food very much. Our waiter,Whitney, was very attentive and kind. The noise level is a bit loud.Nothing to absorb the sounds, would make it hard for people who are hard of hearing.
had a very good time celebrating my birthday.we had a table for 6 people and all enjoyed a fun evening. the food was excellent and so was our waiter!will definitely come back and recommend your place to other people.
Good service, great food.
My boyfriend and I went here for a belated Valentines Day dinner and ordered the hibachi special for two. Happy we made a reservation because it was busy! The food was good, but it came out only warm and it took us about 40 minutes to get it. Serivice was decent. We’ve gone there a number of times in the past for both sushi and hibachi with no issues and will continue to in the future.
Samurai sushi was very good. All of the food was great and the service was fast. Went for Valentine’s day
This was our first visit. The service was great. All the servers seemed to pitch in asking if everything was okay. They also helped bus each others tables. The vegetable hibachi was excellent. It had a grilled taste to it. My husband had the shrimp hibachi and his was equally excellent. We will be adding Samurai to our list of restaurants.
This is now my favorite local sushi restaurant. It was a great experience all the way around.
It was nothing special, food was nothing special, server couldn't keep our water glasses full. We were seated at a tiny table that felt like it was in the way of everything, despite having made reservations. There are other places I'd return to or recommend first.
One of our favorite restaurants! Food is delicious and service is great.
Wonderful dining experience! Energetic atmosphere, spectacular service and phenomenal food! Will definitely be back!!
always have a fantastic time at the samurai kitchen. love the sushi and had the best Ramen Noodles this last tuesday. Will definitely be going back for that, hopefully this up coming tuesday
Jam packed for Ramen Tuesday special, but service was still great. Glad we reserved ahead - easy to do with OpenTable app on their website. It's really cute inside - kind of dark & swanky-but-cheerful look & fun atmosphere. (Fun to hear tables nearby hotly debating what toppings to choose for their soup!) And the ramen? THE BEST THING EVER. Vegetarian option was delicious, BF loved the bone broth version, too. Also really good jasmine tea. Can't wait to go back next Tues.
Food was good. I really wanted nagiri but it didn’t seem like they had it. A tad on the pricey side but that’s to be expected for sushi. Overall a great experience.
Great variety of food and choices. Nice simple, relaxed setting.
Once again, a stellar experience. The presentation alone is a sight to behold and the quality of the sushi is beyond expectation. Wonderful.
Great food and service...try the sashimi
It was a wonderfully delicious meal! I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant and the workers were kind and quick with our food. Definitely coming back!!
This was our first time here. We will be back for sure. Food was super fresh and service was very attentive.
Stunning quality fish and artfully presented sushi. Certainly the best quality sushi I have ever had in the Erie area.
Serving size of plated food was not overly abundant, despite fairly high prices. Cuisine was adequately, but not spectacularly, prepared. The best dish was the pot stickers appetizer. I doubt that I will return.
Everything my wife and I had that night and also before was outstanding. Not very busy at the time but was delicious! Will be back again !
always love samurai for their freshness & elegant asian meals! & LOVE the poke bowl 😋
Great sushi and presentation was amazing!
Our new favorite sushi place in Erie! We'll definitely be back.
The food at Samurai Kitchen is absolutely fabulous! I highly recommend it! The service is great too!
Visiting from outside Detroit. We stay clear from any chains or corporate restaurants.
Samurai was a great, unexpected ,and satisfying surprise! My daughter and I make the yearly pilgrimage to Erie once a year and we’ve found an awesome place to go after a long afternoon drive.
We’ve had mostly sushi rolls, which were all excellent. The shrimp dumplings were just crispy enough but super silky noodle to make te contrast.
I can’t say enough. Good service. The restaurant looked to be quite “young” but with very good following in not the hottest spot of town.
We will certainly return next year!!!
Erie roll is amazing! Recommend getting their sushi, best thing on the menu
Service was terrible ... waited over an hour to start cooking. When cooked the food was burned and half food wasn’t brought in time. Have been here before and it was much better ...won’t go back.
Wonderful Food and Service. Every Plate that passed out table looked beautiful and delicious. The restaurant is BYOB which is great. There was a wide variety of patrons here including large families, old friends, and couples on date night. We had Sushi which was excellent. The small hand rolls where $5-$6. We got 1 special roll which, cost $15 but it was huge at least 2x the size of the hand roll and worth every penny. The place is small so plan on making a reservation if you are planning on going after 6pm on the weekend. You can do this easily through there website.
First time there, the waitress was attentive and nice. The decor was fabulous and the food was amazing. My favorite new place to get hibachi for sure!
We went for Valentine's day at 7pm and it wasn't too crowded or loud. The food was amazing, I had the poke bowl which was very reasonably priced for the amount of food that was in the bowl. The sushi is really good as well, and the price is comparative to other sushi places I've been. It has a great, modern atmosphere and the service was also great. I'll definitely be returning.
Great food and awesome service. My girl-friend loved the sushi as well.
