The restaurant is beautiful and has a cool ambience. The owner was actually on site and was very friendly and courteous, even opening the front door for us and finding our reservation. BUT, I will say, it’s probably not the best idea to go near closing. We had a 9:45 reservation (the restaurant closes at 11) and it just seemed dead...it wasn’t as “lively” as I expected and we were tucked next to a loud group of ladies, who were laughing and talking loudly throughout our dinner date. (There were other tables, but I guess because of the time, we were seated right next to them) Our waitress also disappeared for over 20 mins, while the women next to us were visited multiple times and received “free shots”, while we weren’t offered anything. The food was amazing, portions were good, and the drinks were strong. I just think we went on the wrong night, at the wrong time. Seeing that it’s in our neighborhood, we’re willing to give it a second chance! :)

Samui falsely advertised as being a participant in #EatThaiVisitThai Restaurant Week yet did not honor the special price advertised on open table. After getting mixed messages from 3 waitstaff, I asked for management. Upon speaking to management and explaining how far my group drive to try this experience, she said she'd discuss with the owner. the owner began to lie to us stating and retracting a couple comments. I mentioned writing a review on my experience and the owner accused us of blackmailing them for a discount. Appalled, we just left. I do not recommend this place nor will I ever visit. Their business accumen is disgusting!

Samui is an absolutely stunning restaurant. The decor and exceptional service make for a wonderful dining experience. I highly recommend the cocktails as well!

The drinks were great. The food was horrible. Calamari that had been re-nuked from the day before had the texture of rubber bands. The entree was tasteless. Key Lime tart was edible. I'll never go back--EVER!

The best place to try a different type of food. The waitress was super nice explaining all the dishes. I'm definitely coming back ! The place is beautiful!
