Lastnight we had the absolute pleasure of dining at what can only be described as the pinnacle of culinary excellence. From the moment we walked in, everything — everything — was flawless. The atmosphere was warm, elegant, and intimate without being pretentious. The service was seamless — attentive yet unobtrusive — and every interaction felt, and was, genuine and thoughtful. But let’s talk about the food. This was, without exaggeration, perfection. There is no other way to describe it. Every bite was a masterpiece of flavour, texture, and presentation. You can see and taste the care, passion, and artistry in every dish. What truly elevates the experience, though, is Chef George. His love for what he does radiates through every detail of the restaurant. The precision, creativity, and heart he puts into his food is matched only by his attention to the little things — even the tableware feels chosen with purpose. You can tell that every element, down to the finest point, was curated with care. In short, everyone needs to experience this restaurant. It’s not just a meal — it’s truly an experience you’ll never forget.

The service and food are second to none. We had a surf and turf family style dinner. Not only did the food taste great the table service was excellent and always available to pour a glass. I recommend highly for anyone wishing to take a friend or business associate to this restaurant. Or a family night out. Cheers

From the moment I walked into Sam’s, I knew I was in for something special. The service was very attentive, without being intrusive. They served the appetizers to us individually, rather than placing them in the centre of the table. This was a nice touch! Owner and Chef came around the table to check on us. The food was fantastic. Too much to itemize, but amazing food! Ambiance is where Sam’s truly excels. The atmosphere was very elegant, yet relaxed. Soft lighting from the beautiful chandeliers cascading over us. Very sophisticated decor. Velvet chairs that were plush and comfortable, and adds to the overall comfort In the end, they offered us a parting drink of choice, which added to the amazing experience. We can’t wait to take the gang there to share this hidden gem with them! Well done, Sam’s!

An absolute hidden gem. I cannot say enough great things about this incredible restaurant. The servers were amazing and came by all throughout the night to check if we needed anything. The food was out of this world. There are no words to describe how delicious the pistachio dessert was. The ambience was vibrant and there was great energy all around. Thank you so much to our servers, Madeline, Giacomo, and Paul for making our night one to remember. 6/5 Stars and will absolutely be going back regularly.

We selected this restaurant to celebrate our 30th anniversary and my husband’s birthday, when we arrived and were seated, no menus just seated. Waited anywhere from 10 to 15 mins before someone took our drink order but still no menus. When our drinks arrived the waiter realized we didn’t have menus so he quickly put 2 in front of us, didn’t tell us about the specials and left. Someone else came by and took our appetizer order, grabbed the menus and left. My husband ordered the carpaccio and I ordered a salad, let’s start with the carpaccio, no pepper or lemon, it had truffle oil (truffle oil is absolutely horrible for me, the smell and taste are just bad) my salad, no oil, salt or pepper, it did have a drizzle of balsamic glaze, I think there was more glaze decoration than on my salad. They placed a container of oil, vinegar and a small dish of hot pepper oil on our table but no one brought out bread until we asked for it. Our main course was bland and tasteless, we asked for pepper and salt to give our food some taste, so disappointed with the whole experience and evening we didn’t stay for coffee and/or dessert. If you read all the reviews about this restaurant it would lead you to believe it was the perfect place, there is no way I could leave a positive review. I have to say Sam’s missed the mark completely.

We didn't know what to expect when we made this reservation. The decor was fresh and beautiful. Plenty of space between tables which is very hard to find in any restaurant you go to these days. Food was great and service spot on. Definitely recommend this restaurant. Hidden Gem. We'll be back!

An amazing meal! We enjoyed the Burrata with Prosciutto and Beets, Beef Short Rib, Frito Misto, Grilled Swordfish and Linguine di Mare. Everything was superb and delicious. Made fresh and served hot. For dessert we had the Cannolis and they did not disappoint. We would have had more but we were so full from the delicious dinner. The ambience was pleasant and service was on point. A wonderful and special meal with the family. Everything was excellent including the portion sizes. We are looking forward to our next dining experience.

Our first time at Sam’s Ristorante and definitely won’t be our last. Started off with the Swordfish Carpaccio, followed by the mushroom truffle Raviolo, and the Chilean Sea-bass. Everything was amazing and definitely worth the trip up to Vaughan.
