Sammy's Restaurant and Bar
The food at Sammy’s is always always good. And the portions are large. Everyone at our table thoroughly enjoyed our meal especially the lobster bisque which was the best we’ve ever had. Service was definitely not up to par but the food and ambience makes up for it. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Sammy’s as we always do.
The food and service is always amazing!
We have visited your restaurant probably 10 times over the past year and have rarely been disappointed.
Our server was not very friendly nor did she give good service. The manager did try to help her out but by the time he got started the mood was already set. The food came out warm but not hot buy we ate it as is.
Great food and nice ambiance for a Sunday brunch.
Food was delicious, waiter was a bit over worked but met our needs with some promting, and all had a good time. The messy sunday is worth saving room for. We will go back again!
Very disappointing they didn’t have decaf coffee and they didn’t have a very big selection of toast. Considering the fact that we were there at 10 AM and the restaurant was just about empty the service was very slow.
I would recommend Sunday brunch to anyone. My only issue is that that the restaurant has a really nice side and then an average side in terms of Decor and we were sitting on the average side wishing we were on the side with the open windows and pretty decor. Food was excellent as always, and the service was great. We love Sammy’s . We made our reservation late, the night before so I’m assuming that’s why we didn’t have the best table.
We’ve eaten at Sammy’s many times. It is very consistent. Good food and decent prices. The BBQ Chicken Pizza and Greek Salad are our usuals. As good as the other times.
We had brunch with friends. Food was very good, our server was very attentive and we enjoyed the visit. I thought it was just a bit pricey, but not too bad.
This is our new “go-to” place to eat. Shareable plates are half price at happy hour, which makes them super reasonable. Great place for kids, and we’ve been about 10x in the last 6 months without ever having a bad experience.
One of my "go-to" restaurants. The food is always good. The wine selection is pretty good. The service can sometimes be a bit slow but I attribute that to the chef preparing deliciousness in the kitchen.
Really enjoyed the food and service at Sammy's Restaurant on Green Valley Blvd.
Restaurant is sunny, bright & comfortable. Menu is ceative and diverse but execution and quality can be poor. Kale & romaine salad was good, nicely dressed. Hot rock steak appetizer is fun and tasty. Duck tacos we're tasteless and dry, not sure it was duck. Chicken satey was dry with lumpy peanut sauce that was too sweet. Service was lacking, waitress did not bring my iced tea, then served the wrong one with no apologies. We have been to this place several times, it is a hit or miss. If not for the nice atmosphere and sometimes good food, would not return
Our server diane was excellent and so wss the hostess
Service was great food was great bad table with kids running and screaming all over, was such a headache to have brunch when a table is treating the place as a park.
Great menu... Something for everyone. Half priced items before 6pm. Gets busy in the usual parts of the week... Friday/Saturday nights. A bit noisy but we still go often and just understand that you'll have to talk loudly to hear one another.
Overall food was good, but they didn't have our reservation upon arrival. It took upwards of 15 mins to receive water and the wine we ordered he forgot about. Had to request utensils when the food arrived because they weren't provided. We spent almost 2 hours in a situation that should have been closer to 1 and the waiter was nonchalant and made excuses when we mentioned anything out a place. Customer service note would be to apologize and move on, not explain the "why" there are errors.
We usually love visiting Sammy’s but our service tonight was beyond horrible. It took 25 minutes from when we sat to get our drinks.. Food was wonderful. We waited about 20 more minutes for our check when I showed my open table rewards card to the server and he mentioned he needed to get the manager to assist us with that. The manager came over to our table when I showed him my reward card he asked what is that? I explained it’s open table reward dollars for dinning with Open table frequently. He said this is a program we should adapt, if you use open tables reservation system it already is a program you participate in. Very disappointed.
Great food. Great Service. Staff is extremely friendly.
Always a good time. Food is interesting and happy hour gets 1/2 price on many items. Good for sports, friends or just a nice time for dinner.
We sat exactly where I asked table was ready and got seated immediately. Food always good server very nice we all had a nice time
This is a great spotwe always forget about and the food is consistently good and the people are great!
Sammy's Woodfired Grill with a more upscale name. Pizza was OK but not great and could use personal sized versions as a menu alternative. Ambiance was quiet and relaxing. Server was very polite, helpful and non-rushed and gave us plenty of time to choose menu items. The indoor/outdoor patio (the large sliding doors open up entirely to provide a great outdoor experience) is a nice feature. All in all, worth considering as a go-to place for a nice, relaxing meal that doesn't break the budget, although the wine prices did seem to be marked up a little high compared with wine store retail prices.
It was every good! Except that we were charged $2.00 for each salad for tomato & olives. We where not asked if we wanted them, even though your website says we had a choice of tomatoes or olives. Thank you!
Always consistent great food and service, but this time the items came out all at once. Appetizers were just started when the salads and pizza were delivered. Be sure to state the way you want it to be delivered. Many great salad choices and something for everyone there!
We have eaten at Sammy's twice before and it never disappoints. Our server was excellent, the food arrived in a timely manner and was hot. good happy hour and choices of food.
There was never anybody at the front desk to greet us and take our reservation. It took 20 minutes to have anybody come to our table and this was after having to flag her down. It seems hat there were not enough servers.
I requested a specific server when I made the reservation and again when I checked in. I was told that she wasn’t working tonight. But we later saw that she was there. This restaurant needs some better management.
Our server, Corliss’s was fantastic. Thank you
The staff is incapable of following instructions. I will NEVER set foot inside your restaurant again.
Don't laugh but it was the third time in two weeks that we ate at Sammy's...and as
usual the food was delicious. Love the variety of the menu and the helpful
courteous staff. We will definitely be returning.
Birthday brunch for the Father of our family. Table was beautifully set up ahead of time with flower arrangements in the center. Food is constantly great at Sammy’s and service was top notch as well. We love our regular server who waits on us each time we visit.
Thank you for a lovely meal!!
Need more servers . Waited an hour for food and waiter didn’t get back to check on table u til we were finished
Celebrating the birthday of a friend, great ambience, great food, drinks and service!
This place is a hidden gem. The food is good and I love how they can open up the restaurant to the outside as if you are in the middle of a garden. Lots of variety on the menu too.
The food was great and everyone was so nice. I want to especially commend the Assistant Manager, Kristi, who really went out of her way to make my entire party feel special including my twin daughters for whom we were celebrating “Straight A” report cards! Thank you!
We booked Sammy’s for Mother’s Day Brunch for my wife, son and I. We’ve been to Sammy’s a number of times before, NYE was the most recent visit, so I was expecting it to be busy. Apparently, the scheduling manager at Sammy’s did not! We arrive at 11:15 for our reservation and we’re seated quickly. It was clear that they had understaffed. Both managers were running food and there were about 3-4 servers on the floor. It took about 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive and after 40 mins our food arrived, cold. Imagine a cold Eggs Benedict and a asparagus scramble, not good. I will never send food back usually, but after that kind of wait, the food had better be good. We returned both our dishes to be remade, after another 20 mins our food arrived and mine was a completely different meal! It was so bad it was laughable. I sent that back and just enjoyed the side of pancakes we ordered. Sure, Sammy’s removed the meal from the menu, as expected and none of this was the fault of the server, she was slammed with tables, but it’s nothing short of poor management. How do you not staff up for Mother’s Day!?! On top of this, the food was bland. Something needs to be reassessed here because with each visit it’s getting worse.
Usually a great experience but anyone can be off the mark occasionally.
Like most establishments, you have to almost expect glitches at rush times.
The food and service at Sammies is always excellent. A real treat is their a duck taco appetizer. All six people at our table thoroughly enjoyed everything they ordered.
The noise level is high but fortunately we were there in the late afternoon so it was much quieter this time. We will definitely go back soon.
Very pleasant brunch. A thank you to our friends!
