Fabulous food with great flavor! Great dinner music but service was a little off. We had completed our appetizer before our bottle of wine was delivered.
I love this place. Great food and I love the music. They are so friendly and want to make sure you have a great experience.
The reservation was NOT honored pure CHAOS on Easter Sunday. Not enough staff, stayed in the weeds, no one bussing outdoor tables upstairs, managers running food and bar tenders over worked gathering several drinks with his fingers inside the cups
Reservations for Easter Sunday Brunch. Arrived on time to find a line and waited 40+ minutes to be seated. Hostess took us upstairs to a nice table near the window. Our server eventually came and took drink orders. We needed to remind her if the drinks after 20 minutes. Felt as if we were forgotten. Finally a small platter with fruit and cheese came as well as a bread basket. We had been seated for at least 45 minutes at this point. No silverware or napkins, had to ask. An hour after we were seated, the main course was served. Every bit if the food was cold, and not very good. Very disappointed. It appeared to me that they had greatly overbooked the time slot for our reservation and had not planned well. Not enough staff to handle this rush and too many customers in this time slot. (12:15) Will not go back. For what we were charged for 3 people, $150, I feel we should have had a much better experience.
Awful food. “French toast” was cold burned bread”. Disgusting. Desserts were premise frozen in the middle. Hash brown casserole was mush. And it was expensive.
Brunch fail. 12:15 reservation and didn’t get any food until 1:25 and it was not even our food order. We refused to pay for food. Service was awful. We are local and this was as bad an experience as i have had in the twenty years of living here.
Easter Brunch was the worse experience ever! Very disappointed. I’ve visited Sambuca before for dinner and was very pleased. Was very excited to visit with family for their advertised Easter Brunch experience which was a disaster. Even though we had a reservation, we arrived to a long line out the door with others facing the same issue. Once seated the true nightmare began. Our server did not visit the table for over 20 minutes then we took an additional 30 minutes to get our drink orders. Then the menu stated we would receive an assortment of pastries and salads before our entrees. An hour of sitting we received nothing. When our server returned to the table we asked about the bread and he stated he knew nothing about a “bread” basket.....after two hours some food came that we did not order, it was cold, stale, and brunt. Frankly the eggs at a McDonald’s drive thru look better. We asked the manager who delivered our food where was the food we actually ordered. He explained it was coming from another station, to be patient....we thought after two hours, no drink refills, and zero food we had been promised on their menu....how much more patient should we be? Twenty minutes later our omelettes arrived, with the wrong ingredients and we were still missing our other food items and no drink refills. At this time I finally saw our server and asked for our check. The manager was no where to be found due to the other complaining costumers. I finally saw our server when it was time for us to pay. I paid and stated we will never be back. Worse experience ever for brunch. The food was terrible, service was awful, management was lacking, and obviously the kitchen was not prepared. The brunch experience advertised did not come close at all to living up to one expectation except the live entertainment.
The food wasn’t fresh and it took awhile after ordering to receive more like 30-40 min. Only to receive food that was cold. The price doesn’t matter but if you charge a set price of $35 for brunch then please make sure the food is fresh and hot. The live music was a nice touch.
Easter Brunch was a disaster. Way understaffed , cold inedible food that took almost two hours. Our waiter felt so bad that he comped all but the drinks. A very bad re-entry after Covid.
Made reservations to have Easter brunch with my daughter and celebrated her birthday. We were greeted with a warm smile and was seated at the perfect spot in the main dining room. We did not expect to have such delay on drinks, bread, salad and main course, especially for a set brunch menu. Roast, fish, eggs, ham, and sausage arrive COLD after 1.5 hrs. Our main course was served by a gentleman who appeared to be the manager however he did not acknowledge the long wait. We went over the 3hr parking and began to feel bad for our server. Apparently Sambuca was understaffed and were not prepared for Easter Brunch. We were fair and still tipped her 23% for her hustle.
Incredibly disappointed with my Easter brunch experience. This was their third and last chance- they were busy; understood. Cold and low quality food is inexcusable after a 2 hour wait.
I was there for Easter Brunch. The music was great, love the ambience, and the food was wonderful!
We came for the Easter brunch. The food was not really hot and some was cold but we understand the challenges of doing this so we will come again to try things out as the flavors were delicious.
Went for Easter Brunch. It took 45 minutes just to get half of our order, and it was served cold. Our server tried to redeem the meal for us, but food was very inconsistent. Food on the same plate varied from warm to cold. Loved the live music though. We probably won’t be back.
Had Easter brunch with family and had a great time. Live music was wonderful, service was very prompt and the food was very good. The brunch was all you wanted to eat. Coffee was really good no need for sugar.
I would go back every time I’m in Nashville.
Easter Brunch at Sambuca was disorganized this year. The best part was listening to live music.
We timed it perfect as we were one of the first to arrive. Staff was working super hard for this Easter brunch. It seems liked others that came later were having issues getting their food, but our time and meal was excellent!
Will Never go for brunch again, terrible execution in every way.
Everything was 10/10! Food, service and atmosphere were all top notch. My only complaint is that we couldn’t bring our rooftop drinks to our table in the restaurant. The hostess should not send up people waiting for their tables to the rooftop if they cannot bring their drinks down. We had a 10 minute wait and got our drinks right when our table was ready. Hardly got to drink them
Our dinner and experience was wonderful! Our server, Robbie was great!
Our waiter, Corey, was excellent. He was attentive, upbeat and welcoming.
We sat on the patio for brunch. The frose was amazing and not overly sweet. Definitely loved the hot chicken! I wish I remembered out servers names, because he was great and over helpful for these out of towners. The owner even stopped by to say hi and chat for a minute.
Food was overpriced for the quality and our server was the worst we’ve had in years. Only redeeming factor is that management was very helpful and responsive.
Celebrated my wife’s birthday here and were very pleased that we did. Loved the vibe, the atmosphere and the music. We had a great table with a direct view of the musicians and nicely separated from others.
We started with the Shrimp and Crab dip, a choice which was immediately affirmed by our server and wow, it was just amazing! Generous portion of crab and shrimp with a very unique sauce made as such by the addition of poblano peppers. Topped off by the excellent tortilla chips for dipping.
For our main courses, we ordered the Chili-Rubbed Scallops and the Filet Mignon. My wife loved the scallops. They were so tender and seasoned perfectly, placed on small servings of risotto. There were only three of them but they were generous in size. It was an appropriate portion size for her but, if you’re a hearty eater, you’ll want more. The filet was simply only of the best I’ve ever eaten. It was cooked to perfection and tender enough to cut with a fork. The Bordelaise was so good I couldn’t leave any of it in my plate and the asparagus was sublime in Gorgonzola Walnut Butter. I’m getting hungry again just thinking about it!
Our server was great as well. Very friendly without being overly attentive. She gave us our space for the special evening but never left us wanting for anything.
The live music was such a great addition to the evening as well. Very good mix of classic rock and country but fully acoustic so it was perfectly suited for the occasion.
Overall, this was a 5 star experience all the way around and we will most definitely return on our next trip to Nash Vegas!
Terrific experience including great food and entertainment. We took our three kids (9, 6, 3), and they loved it!
We had such a wonderful evening at Sambuca. The music was fantastic with Tabitha Meeks and company. The food and service were also top notch. Looking forward to coming back.😊
I really enjoyed my experience here. This was my first time at this restaurant and the food, music and my waiter was great. I will be making plans to come back very soon!
I will start with the positives-the pizza was great. My family went for Sunday brunch and were quickly seated as the reason was not very crowded. It took about 20 minutes before we were acknowledged and our beverage order was taken. The waiter took a drink order from one individual (out of four) at the table and left. It took about 40 min for our food order to arrive. Overall, the service could have been better.
Me and my friends were visiting from Florida. We enjoyed the food while listening to live music. Our server was friendly and helpful. It was a great experience.
Wonderful evening out with friends! Great food, atmosphere, and service. Will be back for Easter Brunch!
Service was great, our server was wonderful and accommodating. The live jazz was nice. I would go back to the weekend brunch. Nice setting.
Nothing bad to say, good food, service and entertainment. Will be back again I’m sure.
Had a wonderful dinner, drinks and music while visiting my daughter for the weekend. Our waiter had a great personality and was always there at the right moment. To top it all off, the band was fabulous! We will definitely return!
This was an excellent experience, the service was great, the live music was fantastic, and the food was delicious! I would highly recommend this restaurant. The only note I would mention is that the tables in the middle by the stage do get direct flow from the air conditioner, which was great for me but my girlfriend was a touch cold.
Had dinner with clients here. They had never been to Sambuca and thought the food was very good. Our server was fantastic! Nice atmosphere without being stuffy.
Appetizers and cocktails were great, entrees were way too salty and buttery.
Had not been to “diner and a show” in a long time. Did not realize there would be live music when I made the reservation. So it was a fun surprise. Band was great, crowd was fun and food was very good too. Great option in the Gulch area of Nashville
In town to meet friends. 6pm reservation. Sat us promptly. House band starting playing at 6:30. Extremely loud and could not hear conversation with friends. I enjoy a good band but this was too early and made the dinner challenging and less enjoyable. Server did not bring second drink until advised that she missed my order. Food was was ok but loud atmosphere and and lack of service awareness was a complete disappointment. Menu pricing was over priced compared to atmosphere and service. Menu would now pull up via QR code for anyone in party. Also surprised us with a cover charge/“entertainment fee” on the bill.
Do not recommend unless you know what to expect from this venue.
We tried Sambuca specifically because we were coming to watch Aly Cutter but were very pleasantly surprised by the restaurant as well. Our server was terrific, the menu/food quality was great, nice wine menu, and of course the entertainment was awesome!
My only suggestion for improvement (a nit) is the arrangement of the tables. There were four of us with two seats facing the stage and two seats facing the opposite direction. Having the seating facing the opposite direction would give us all at least some view of the stage.
