Was in Nashville on a family trip and wanted to find a place that appealed to our sophisticated NY foodie side but embodied the local music scene. Sambuca was it! For a Thursday night with no additional music cover we heard the most phenomenal act-combined, pop, rock, jazz, r&b. Casamigos tequila was house top shelf and signature blueberry margarita was off the charts. Menu items were also great combining the comfort of rich pasta dishes with home made sausages and fresh herbs with the completely out of this world mozzarella beignets....
To top it...we had the friendliest server who gave us great pointers for sightseeing and was a terrific conversationalist while not sacrificing attentiveness!
Birthday celebration. They were awesome!
Beautiful restaurant . Amazing Jazz band . That’s where I’ll start. Service seriously lacking in a restaurant of this caliber. $$ High Prices for this kind of issues. Our server was sweet and friendly but unfortunately not good. Some of it wasn’t her fault, though. She started out by telling us ( at a 7:45pm reservation ) that they were already out of things in the menu. . Ok , I can see if they were out of a special , but there were no specials. Only regular menu items. She literally had to go check on 2 different times. She should’ve been aware when she came to take our order first of all. Anyway, I and one friend ordered the filet .When mine came, it was undercooked . They had to put it back on . It still wasn’t right but I ate it. My other friend ordered the squid linguini with seafood. She said it was good. Not much seafood to it. 1 piece of lobster, 1 scallop and 1 shrimp . After dinner, She asked if we wanted dessert. We decided to share the berry cobbler . It came without the ice cream. We looked for her but she didn’t come out for a long time . And then told us they were out of ice cream. Really ??? She did say “Oh I should’ve told you.” All in all , I have to say, maybe offer complimentary dessert for trouble ? Or at least apologize. If you decide to try it , I suggest cocktails and the music. And we really were excited to go there per friends recommendation . Good luck.
Went for brunch for a bachelorette party. The food was excellent but the service was quite slow. Took almost 1hr 45min to get our food. But, we heard the kitchen was short staffed so I’m gonna give them the benefit of the doubt and assume it’s not usually that way. The band performing was great as well.
I planned my best friend's bachelorette party dinner here and it was more than I could ever ask for. The hosts were so sweet and knew the bride by name, and they put us by the stage and the singer honored our bride to be. Our server, Maxfield, was perfection, recommending so many incredible dishes-- the mozzarella beignets and the shrimp and crab dip were amazing, and the ribeye was the best I've ever had hands down. We came for the ambiance but left happier than we ever could've imagined. It's a must-try if you're looking for a great night on the town!
We had a great server and the food was phenomenal! Will definitely be back!
In town for 44th wedding anniversary with friends also celebrating their anniversary. The band was amazing and we were captivated all evening with this restaurant that we came across on line on the way into town from Charlotte NC. Couldn't have been in a better spot in Nashville and we are planning a yearly return trip to this restaurant.
Food and service were great. We ate in the "Sky room" which had a really nice view. My main, but minor, complaint was the room was pretty chilly (it's wintertime now). I had to put my husband's coat over my legs to stay warm - even though I was wearing thick tights. When I asked the server if they could turn up the heat, the temperature then alternated between hot and cold. So clearly lots of glass = not much insulation. I also wish they had advised me when I made the reservation that we would be in the sky room, not the music room, as these rooms have very different personalities (and temperatures). Next time I will specify when making my reservation, although both rooms are very nice. My other complaint (also relatively minor) was that the Sky Room had a mostly classy feel that was marred by the monitors on the wall (gave it a sports bar vibe ) . The monitors weren't showing any TV shows but did show photos of their food etc. and detracted from the ambience. It would have really completed the romantic, sexy atmosphere if they would have just turned them off entirely. All this being said, I can't wait to go back. I'll just probably request the music room in cold weather and the sky room or awesome patio in warm weather.
Another fantastic meal at Sambuca. The food was amazing and we enjoyed sitting in the upstairs area by the windows.
We had reservations through Open Table and we were seated promptly on arrival. The staff was attentive and friendly. The food was excellently prepared to perfection. The live blues band in the background added to the experience of the evening. This is a restaurant we frequent because we know it will be excellent.
