Went on Easter Sunday. New to Georgia, so this was our first time here. We had reservations and were seated in the bar. Bartender/server was AWESOME (don't remember her name unfortunately). Not too crowded, so pretty quiet.
The food was outstanding from the appetizers to the desserts. Best spinach and artichoke dip we've ever had and the lemon cake was really good.
Will definitely return to work our way through the menu!
Atmosphere and area good and clean. Wait staff distracted seemingly because of noise levels and waiting too many tables.
Great food, great service. All around great place to go.
Delicious flatbread but at 31 inches too big for one person. We ordered one each? Would have appreciated knowing that as we ordered so that we could have not ordered so much
Awesome!! Everything was wonderful. Great tasting steaks.
We waited one hour and 30 min for our food. Way too long. Food was ok. Would not go back.
Always our fist stop on our annual trip to Hilton Head. Love the ambiance, the food, and can’t say enough about our server, Lisa. She was so much fun and really made the evening even better!
Service was very good enjoyed a night with family from Delaware
Our first time trying this place and it was good food and good service. Our waiter was very attentive even though we knew he was super busy, he still made sure we were all taken care of.
Close to Savannah airport. Terrific service. Good selection of draft beers.
It was a great experience. Thank you for the great service.
We love Sam Sneads! They are always accommodating.
Best prime rib on Friday and Saturday nights, since moved from Texas. Restaurant was very busy.
ordered prime rib excellent the four of us had several different entrees all very good and prepared as ordered waitress was very attentive wait staff looked pretty ample
desert was FANTASTIC (had apple pie) . all in all we enjoyed our dining experience. Did I mention the desert was fantastic
Considering it is a franchise restaurant, I was very pleased.
It was a very nice and quiet area with lots of ambience, food was great and service was outstanding. We will definitely go again soon.
Great food. Service was a little slow and hectic but it was really busy and the kitchen was backed up. It’s worth it though. The food was outstanding as usual.
We always make a point of staying in Savannah on ou trips south, and winding down from a long day of driving at Sam Sneads. This is a classic steakhouse tavern with great menu, service, and atmosphere.
Good quality food and well worth the visit. Steaks are always good and the service is also always good and attentive to our requests.
Valentines dinner. Our meal and drinks were wonderful. Service was exceptional!
With our reservation we were sat right away. The waitress wanted to know instantly what our drink orders were. When I asked for a moment she would not come back until our third person arrived. (She was about ten minutes after we sat.) when our food arrived some of us were made to grab our plates from the waitress instead of placing the dishes down. I asked for butter and sour cream on my baked potato. There was very little of it on it. It took a moment to realize there was no salt or pepper on the table. Our waitress became invisible. I had to get another server to assist. She was barely visible throughout the dinner. And only at the last asked if I wanted another wine and never offered or just provided more water. Food was okay not great. It did not match the prices charged.
Lovely lunch on the road to Florida. We ate outside, and it was super pleasant
It’s our 4th time dining there and each time we were great by friendly reception staff and a very happy wait staff. Food always delicious as well as beverages
We are locals & can promise:
Always delicious dining & an excellent wine list.
Kristian is our favorite bar-tender 😉
And John is the perfect server; funny attitude and knows the menu!!
We stop here every year on our way home from Florida.
No one was wearing a mask at a fairly crowded bar, even the bartender's was on & off...
Never been disappointed here. Distinctive food and service at a relatively modest price.
After a 12 hour ride from NJ it was a great meal
This restaurant is the best in Pooler by far! One of our favorites and an amazing atmosphere!
A nice place for a quality meal. I sat at the bar
Walking into Sam Sneads you cordially welcomed and escorted to your table. While on the way you are absorbed into a warm and pleasing climate. Our entire time in Sam Sneads was fantastic.
The restaurant was cold as the wait staff kept going outside and bringing dirty dishes back in. We waited some time before a waitress arrived. Another group of people who were seated after us, were waited on first. Could it be that they knew a worker??? On the plus side, the food was quite good.
Excellent service and a great value...dessert is a must!
Our server Jon did a great job as usual watching out for us.
We had a group of coworkers dine for our Christmas lunch. Our meals were all fantastic and the service was excellent. We love their daily specials, especially the blackened chicken tortellini.
prompt, courteous service and delicious cocktails and food
Quiet and calm place. Great food. Fantastic waitress.
I was excited to try this place out. We just moved here and it seems to be the only high end place in Pooler to dine. We enjoy a nice dinner 1-3 times a month. I was a little disappointed in the menu though, I felt that I was at a chain restaurant. They had a flatbread and burger section, when I was expecting an entree and course secretion. The ambiance was nice but I felt that it was a dressed up version of Longhorn steakhouse. The music they were playing ranged from country classics to Bruno Mars (it was not enjoyable). I ordered the mahi mahi and the the cut of fish was AMAZING (supple, hearty, good portion) but I ordered it blackened and I could barely eat it. I had to scrape off the blacked seasoning because it was SOOO salty. Overall, I was not unhappy but I probably won’t be returning.
Bread should be a 'given.' Not a request. My surf and turf, one of the most expensive dishes on the menu, was served with a huge mound of cold mashed potatoes. Others in our party had to keep requesting extra sauce; why aren't dishes that come with/in a sauce, automatically served with additional on the side? Even in the age of Covid, salt and pepper should not be offered in paper packets. On someone's birthday, something, even a cup of coffee, should be offered free of charge.
