   We had an unfortunate experience at the Sam Snead Tavern, primarily due to some highly inappropriate and unfortunate behavior of the floor manager, and the neglect of the service staff, which appeared to be partly as a result of direction by the floor manager in combination with a lack of proper training and experience. There was a very friendly, nice cook in the back who directed me to the ladies’ room.

   We were on the deck which was comfortable and fortunately lovely weather. There was a bit of traffic noise but otherwise perfect. Steak, sautéed veggies and Caesar salad was delicious

   The food that chef Andre prepared was first class! His talents are similar to some of the best New York restaurants we have eaten at. Everything was freshly prepared ( including the homemade ice cream!) it took a little longer to receive our entre but it was well worth the wait! The service was excellent as well! Julia was our waitress and we enjoyed our conversations with her. She was very attentive the entire evening! Dining at Sam Snead Tavern was truly a first class experience!

   We had a fabulous meal at Sam Snead. Everything that we ordered was so tasty. The food was hot and our server, Jessica, was FABULOUS. She took such great care of us the entire meal. The wine list is terrific, too. The place was hopping and filled with energy. We loved it. We will be back!

   The staff was amazing! The food was great! You have to order the apple cake with homemade ice cream. The band Thomas Road was playing that night, so we had great music too!

   Jess, our server, was happy and informational. Our drinks came quickly and we ordered. It took over an hour for our entrees to arrive. For a restaurant with no waiting for seating and not full, this was unacceptable. The entrees finally arrived and were hot and very tasty. When the manager came by and I mentioned how long it took to receive our entree, she made no apology. My friend had been here a number of times, and always has some kind of issue. Not sure if we will be back next year.

    Unfortunately a bad experience. We were seated with no one in our section. Ordered peel and eat shrimp and entrees, we got our drink, didn’t see anyone else except for new tables being seated and served. After 30 minutes of nothing we decided to leave. The rest of section was all being served. We were told it was unfortunate that we couldn’t be patient on our food! 30 minutes for peel and eat shrimp???

    Delightful step back in time. Memorabilia of Snead and his golfing days combine with their 50's/60's music feed to create a lovely atmosphere. Nice wine list. Service was excellent. Food was quite good...not fantastic. The caesar salad was interesting - had onions and tomatoes??? I order caesars to avoid those items. Husband had a pasta and shrimp dish that he said was good but a bit spicy. I had chicken that was tender and well parpared, but the portion was small. For dessert husband had a shocolate pie of some sort which was very tasty but looked as though it had been sitting out to defrost - was partly gushy and partly solid. All that said - we recommend Sam Snead's as a most pleasant way to spend an evening.

    Cozy ambiance. Nice seat by the fire. Very slow service (took over an hour for 2 pizzas, 1 kids buttered noodle and an entree. ) Server said the pizzas there were ‘amazing’ but they could have been any convenience store frozen pizza . Husband enjoyed his salmon and the steak looked good from afar.

    Expensive for cafeteria food. Our table didn’t receive refills, bread and none of our requests for cooking were honored. The medium rare burger was charred! Will stay on Homestead grounds next time….

    Our first visit to this restaurant, and it didn't disappoint. We asked for a quiet table, so we were seated upstairs. We had an early reservation (5:15) so we were the only ones there for awhile and got great service from the bartender (Melissa). Food was excellent (prime beef was just a little salty for me), but a great evening. Tons of memorabilia on the walls. We'll return if we're ever in Virginia again. :)

    Our family enjoyed a warm and welcoming atmosphere at Sam Snead’s. I was unseasonably cold for our visit to Hot Springs but we were pleased to find this great restaurant open. We hope to make it back to the area and Sam Snead’s to I’ll be on our “to do” list!

    We had a wonderful experience at the Sam Snead Tavern. After a long day we came to refuel with a delicious meal. The staff was super accommodating to us, the restaurant itself was warm and welcoming with so many cool, historic Sam Snead items. We will absolutely be back anytime we’re near Hot Springs.

    Food and atmosphere was good. Waitress was attentive. We were there to dine and watch the musical entertainment. When we finished our meal and didn't order anything else, we were asked to give up our table. When we paid at the bar, we noticed there were other tables available. So basically, we were asked to leave because we weren't spending any more money. Never have we been basically kicked out of a restaurant before. We won't be returning!

    We had the best experience last night. We sat by the fire enjoyed a leisurely meal. Brett was a fantastic server. I recommend the Spicy Cucumber Margarita and the pizzas. We also love the Caesar salad and truffle fries. The restaurant is so cozy. And the value is good.
