   They DO NOT accommodate any changes in the menu. I noticed several times the waitress had to explain that to tables. I was one, we have never eaten at this restaurant before and I simply asked if the pasta with my fish could have a different sauce that was on the menu. She politely said that I could not make any changes to the menu. Which leads me to believe that the chef does not care about his customers, or he is lazy. The fish was fantastic, however we will never return to this restaurant.

   Service was terrific...cheerful, helpful, attentive, but not overbearing. Food was very tasty, and still hot when served....I like that. Ambient noise was not obtrusive; we were able to converse without yelling. Overall, excellent experience.

   Wonderful experience from the time Zoey came to our table. We let her know we came specifically for the Lobster Bisque and Paella specials. We were not disappointed. Together they created the best dinner we have eaten at Sam and Luca. Truly outstanding. I hope those two items could become a weekly special. Service great. Taste great. Atmosphere great.

   Visiting the area from out of town and met a friend here for dinner. Service and food were both awesome. A small wine list but plenty of excellent choices fairly priced. We would come back here again in a heartbeat!

    Our first time here. We came early so we could check out the Happy Hour menu as well was the entire meal. None of us were very hungry so we opted for the Happy Hour and we chose the meatballs, the mussels, and mozzarella sticks. They were all delicious and their entrees sounded even better. Wine selection was a bit small but what we had was very tasty. We were quite pleased with everything about the place and will go back for a full dinner to enjoy soon.

    Our server Jordan was attentive and helpful in our decision on our entrees and dessert. Chicken Parmesan is highly recommended. We will definitely be back!

    Always a great place to have wonderful Italian food. I had their special lobster ravioli. It was delicious. As an app, I always order their calamari, which is also excellent one of my favorite restaurants in the Phoenix area. Highly recommend if you want good Italian food.

    This is a darling restaurant tucked back into a Frys shopping center. It’s decorated in a charming way and tables are comfortable and spread nicely apart for your own privacy. The food was good and very traditional Italian. Portions were large enough to share. Our only complaint was they upcharge you for paying with a credit card 3.5% and when we asked for a little more marinara for the soooo delish zucchini (very small ramekin) the waitress said it would be $2. To me that’s unbelievable. It was really 2 tablespoons at most. We ended up paying cash and the waitress took off $2.00 off the total bill. Can’t we just go back to not nickel and diming our customers… Go ahead and charge $26 for standard linguine but don’t do the little things like charging for extra marinara or using a credit card.

    Our first-time there, and we were pleasantly surprised. The corner location made us a little hesitant and expectations weren't too high as far as ambiance, but once inside the location,this was a non factor. There is also a large patio area that was well appointed. We had a reservation, and though the place was busy, we were seated immediately. As soon as we walked in the vibe was very relaxed, and though in a strip mall/shopping center, the place was set up well. You can see into the kitchen area as food comes up, and a large staff kept things moving quickly to table. Our waitress knew her menu, and was pleasant throughout. Food was of good quality, and presentation was clean. The bruschetta was flavorful, and the bread light and airy As a big eater, portion size was spot on. As for the main course, there was only one thing needing a tweak. The red/marinara or tomato based sauce, was a little tart or acidic. Maybe some EVOO to smooth it out? Desert was good,but I question the lack of Amaretto flavoring in the Tiramisu base. Cost was not crazy, but as we only had 1 glass of medium cost wine, the bill crept into the high $1teens, without 20% tip

    Favorite neighborhood restaurant. Service always good and attentive. Food usually a plus however stuffed shells (special) seemed stuffed with ricotta not as good/fresh as previously experienced. Other special (branzini over risotto ) was excellent.

    Birthday dinner. Food was great but we did not have a waiter or waitress’s for. Good 20-25 minutes when we got there people just walked by and never said anything till my friend got up and asked. But after that everything was very good.

    Very reasonable portion sizes for everything, with a wonderful selection from the menu. The food was delicious, and the prices were very reasonable. Would highly recommend especially for a night out, as the ambiance remains relatively quiet.
