We were treated exceptionally well. The staff were very attentive. Great atmosphere. And very authentic Italian food at a reasonable price. Highly recommend!
The food is fantastic. It is a bit pricey and the portions are not enormous. For me, this is a special occasion restaurant not just a night out.
This was my second visit to Saly G's and it was consistently good. Service and food were good. The entertainment is usually good but last night there was a private party who brought in a dj.
I would definitely go back.
Terrible. Service was awful. They also had a 40th bd party with 50 people and a blasting DJ. They shouldn’t have had the restaurant open. Ruined experience
Never disappoints...great find!!!
Great experience. Amazing food!
I have NEVER written a review on OpenTable BUT Saly G’s deserves it. Hands down, best meal I have had in years. Everything from the caponata served with the warm bread to start, to the amazing apps, the veal chop(12 oz of perfectly cooked goodness) to the pre-dessert HOT zeppelin served table side. Would recommend this amazing restaurant over and over again. Made my 31st birthday one of the best !!
This was actually the second time on one week,JOEY the chef makes this dining experience amazing...i had to have the truffles with gluten free pasta ...they make this incredible eggplant in a tomato sauce,i couldnt wait to have it again...our waiter told us it was all gone...Joey made a fresh batch for us... we had three bowls..it was a tuesday night and the place was jamming...Friday nights great music...what a delight...love love this place!!
Saly gs was phenomenal. We started with the seafood tower and the octopus- possibly the best octopus we have ever had! Dinner was great, loved the zeppolis at the end. Service was spot on.
Was wonderful the food was excellent.
Veal rollatini. Amazing.
Second occasion having dinner at Saly G. Food and service outstanding. Went on a Friday night and there was live music R&B has a great time. Will visit again soon.
The food is excellent and the chef/owner always makes it a point to come out and ask how everything is.
A wonderful authentic Italian dining experience.
Truly close family operated and prepared entrees cooked as good and some better than any Italian food I have eaten in my lifetime. My 87 year old Mother would be impressed.
This Italian restaurant "Sally G's" is a rare find and is well worth the travel time for all who would like to enjoy a real home cooked Italian meal with added love and perfection. My best regards to the Chef !
Bon a petite

Relatively pricey for quality offered. 2 out of 4 dishes, especially the chicken dish on main menu were not what one would expect from a restaurant so highly touted.
Saly G's is always consistent in food quality and service. Has become one of our go to places to eat.
Always our favorite go-to restaurant that never disappoints! Great specials, regular menu is exceptional for italian favorites in a grown-up and special way. They will accommodate special requests and the waiters are well versed in the meals and capabilities of this great kitchen. It's comfortable, friendly, professional and great food (meats, fishes, chicken, pastas, lots of veggies including interesting sides and salads like beets, figs, escarole, spicy peppers). The complimentary olive mix and eggplant caponata with great crusty bread starts the meal out right...and cappuccino and complimentary zeppole finish off a great meal. Love to go for everynight specials and meet-up with friends. The wine list is good by the glass (not overpriced) and full bar. OUR FAVORITE RESTAURANT...luckily Saly G is only five miles away from our house!
Another great meal at this neighborhood gem. Wedge salad always fresh and delicious. Roasted chicken dinner is just like grandmas. And live music tonight.
Food was good and the waiter staff was very capable and friendly.
Another excellent meal and vibe at this neighborhood gem. Live music tonight!
Even though we took the last reservation possible, we were shown the same amount of care and high quality service we have become used to at Saly G's. The food is flawless - the filet mignon melts in your mouth and the truffle gnocci is an adventure for your palette. The Caesar salad is ginormous and easily shared between two, maybe even three.
This was our first visit we will be back
Order the gnocchi! Ricotta cheese cake is excellent.
Great! That’s everything summed up! The food... phenomenal. The service... outstanding. The atmosphere... quiet enough to hear a pen drop across the room. I loved it and so did my girlfriend on our lovely date. Very romantic and worth the price.
Perhaps we didn't order correctly, but we were expecting an exceptional meal and were a bit disappointed. The restaurant was a bit dark, we had to ask the waiter to please turn up the light as we couldn't read the menu. Our entrees were OK, the service was OK. BUT, I did not feel it was worth the cost. I ordered the Wednesday night special of Short Ribs and have had much better at other restaurants. My husband had the Veal Milanese which was covered with a full container of salad over a piece of burnt veal. The waiter did not come back to the table, so he removed about 75% of the salad and tried scraping the burnt part off of the veal. On the upside our friend ordered pasta pillows in a brown butter sauce ( they actually had a much nicer name, but I can't find this dish on the menu); they melted in your mouth and were delicious. We should have said something, but just wanted to leave.
Atmosphere was beautiful, linen tablecloths, candles but casual as well. Great service and the food was delicious. Ordered chicken francaise even though it wasn’t on the menu. One of the best I’ve had. Hubby had filet mignon and said it too was yummy. Can’t wait to go back!
One dinner order was wrong. Asked to space time between apps and dinner, that didn’t happen. Waiter “auctioning off” meals. Who had chicken piccata? Better to note who ordered which meal.
Being a Monday evening the restaurant was quiet. Just 4 or 5 other tables in our section. It was three friends for dinner and we were there to chat and catch up on life!! We were very comfortable and not rushed at all. We all enjoyed our meals and the waiter came over with complimentary zeppoles which melted in your mouth but were not heavy at all.
We had a very enjoyable evening and would not hesitate to go back or to recommend Sally G's to family and friends.
We have been to Saly G's several times and have never been disappointed. The wait staff is quite attentive. The food is delicious. My favorite dish is Sachetti, the pear and gargonzola cheese combination is absolutely delicious, but it is a special so they don't always have it on the menu. If you see it, I highly recommend it.
Another great late night dinner at this neighborhood gem. Chicken dishes are made to order so take your time. Wedge salad is fresh and delicious.
Food was just so so. The caesar salad was large romain lettuce pieces put on a plate with shaved cheese & 5 croutons. The staff needs to know about the wines they serve, dry vs sweet, they don’t seem to understand the difference. A better choice of wines needs to be made available and it should not take 15 minutes to receive your cocktail. The food was lacking flavor and the appearance of dishes need to be revamped.
Greeted at door like paying a toll at a toll booth. Not even a good evening welcome to/ nothing/
Person at the door was dressed sloppily
Décor is dated and dark, and that's being generous
Food was at best a B. One entrée of grilled sea food was drowning in olive oil!
The add for this venue was excellent to lure us in but the overall experience was not good.
Wait staff was ok/
Location was a large commercial parking lot. Not attractive. Outdoor space was adjacent to parking lot, like tail gating, not appealing based on billing!
Firsttimer & it was a very nice place. The only negative comment I have is that about 8:45 they began rushing us to pay the check so as the waiter said”he could close out”. It was a bill of $175 so we weren’t just sittings around.
Our first visit and very pleasant overall. Food was very good and priced accordingly. Our waiter may need to learn how to assure he services the customer and make it a memorable dinner. Fresh bread and olives immediately provided. The shrimp special appetizer we shared was great and came out promptly. Ordered a salad and that arrived after our dinner was served so obviously returned it. I asked for a custom sea-bass dish and they complied and it was very good. My wife had the Veal special and again very good and enough to have take home.Could have less saturation of butter on my Sea-bass which would have allowed the nice saute to be better appreciated. We were going to order a bottle of wine however the waiter forgot to come back. Too late so we did water and coattails instead. Desert was wonderful and actually exceptional. Appreciated the champagne gift for our anniversary, nice touch and nicely done by chef at the table. We definitely will return and these observations are only to help to improve the waiter timing service which would make this an exceptional area restaurant. Have to try coming for dinner during an entertainment event too.
The meal started off with excellent bread and a "relish tray" with butter, olives and eggplant tapenade. The appetizers --buratta special, vegetable tower and broccoli rabe and sausage were all delicious. Papardelle Bolognese with ricotta was outstanding. And we really loved the chef's complimentary zeppoles and excellent "waffle" dessert with berries, whipped cream and Nutella that we shared. Excellent stop!
Service is slow and facade of this place doesn't look good but food is great.
Food was awesome!!
Sally G's is one our favorite local places to dine. It never dissapoints!! The food and service always exceeds our expectations!
The food and service at Saly G's was top-notch! Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable! To start, a basket of Italian bread was placed on our table with a plate containing delicious marinated eggplant in one section, butter in the middle section, and mixed olives in the third section. We had an appetizer of clams oreganata that were perfectly fresh and perfectly seasoned. We dipped our bread into the wonderful sauce the clams were baked in. We all had fish and we all loved our entrees. My husband had Chilean Sea Bass, I had branzino filet, and my son has zuppa di pesce. All the fish was high quality and perfectly prepared. My son asked for pasta with the zuppa di pesce, and was readily accommodated. His zuppa di pesce came nestled on a angel hair pasta. Don't miss the dessert called, The Waffle. It is incredible with waffles, nutella, gelato, strawberries, blueberries, and whipped cream! We were also give freshly made, lighter than air, zeppoles. With cappuccino, it was the perfect end to an excellent meal.
Really good food. Service was slow. I had to ask for whatever I wanted as opposed to the waiter coming by to check on us. If we needed more bread, I had to flag the waiter down. Even waiting for the check necessitated me getting up to find the waiter. Food was excellent though.
