   Great food and service! It was my daughter’s Birthday and she picked Salute as her first choice of restaurant. The waitresses made a fuss of her which made her very happy! She wore a few Birthday badges so you couldn’t forget! 😀 Thank you!

   Overall we had a good time, the food was on the whole good (one of our party’s calf’s liver was a bit tough), however here were a couple of niggles with the service.

   The staff were really attentive and friendly which is why we would recommend this restaurant to our friends and family.

   Having previously been a big fan of Salute I was incredibly disappointed with the food and service this time around. Our starter of Halloumi was under grilled and there was very little flavour to the hot honey drizzle. We then waited a ridiculously long time for our main meal to arrive. When it did the beef was tough, the roast potatos were rock hard, the carrot also hard and the yorkshire pudding was overcooked to a crisp with not a drop of gravy to soften it. The food was almost inedible and both my daughter and I left a considerable amount of it. With a bill of nearly £90 this was extremely disappointing. I refused to pay the service charge dye to the very very long wait between courses. I tried to give the waitress feedback when paying but she really was interested in anything I had to say. Previous visits to Salute have been outstanding, but this visit has very much put into question whether I would eat there again or recommend it to anyone.
