Great food. Wonderful company. Our last outing before hunkering down for COVID 19
Pricey lunch menu.
Hi Kathy, we have an entirely new culinary team that is working on a new lunch menu. The goal is to have a more approachable menu items without compromising the quality of the ingredients. We appreciate your comment, thank you.
Some server named Jordan kept muttering under his breath and yelling at other staff. At one point he walked by and muttered “who the hell put kids at [table] 21. My server, an older lady who apparently comes from a different generation that thinks this is okay, put her hand on my back each time she came to our table. The food was okay— not sure you get to be called a French restaurant when duck isn’t on the menu
Hi HalB, We will address both server's situations immediately. And our new culinary team is working on a new Duck dish. Please visit us again, we will make sure that your next visit exceeds your expectations. Thanks for your feedback.
Had a great breakfast! Food came quick and looked/tasted amazing! Celebrated my moms birthday and had a wonderful time!
Was good ...more fine than great. The short ribs were more stroganoff more than short ribs. The chicken was delish
Good variety of food. Nice happy hour menu. Great service!
I love this place excellent for lunch or dinner. Staff is always so professional and the food is reasonable priced and good.
My wife and I stopped by on a Sunday evening and had the three course special. All parts of the meal were terrific including a mushroom pasta main entry that was amazing. We will return.
Our waiter was great. Made amazing suggestions and had a great personality. The food was delicious and I would definitely go back again.
A good take on French "fusion" food (is that a thing?) Pretty sure they don't have Walleye in France, but the Walleye Meuniere (lemon butter and capers) was very good, and my wife's Braised Short Rib Pappardelle was perfect. The Creme Brulee and Chocolate Mousse were fantastic as well. It was loud and vibrant on the Saturday night that resulted in an error in our order, but the waiter and staff handled it very well.
Food was good. Our wait person was so nice but didn’t listen and over the period of the meal served our fries first ( which we hadn’t requested) and forgot two or three other things. Hopefully she was just having an off day. But it wasn’t our normal wonderful time at one of our favorite restaurants.
Got wrong food, partial order and then had dessert charged that we never even ordered.
My steak was very salty, the waiter was clearly stressed. Not an enjoyable experience. Used to be better.
Great service & great food.
Had a great night
Taking my cousin out to dinner..Salut is her favorite!
We had a lovely time. I was out of town on Valentine's Day, so we were happy to go out a couple nights later. We arrived slightly early, but there were open tables and we were seated immediately. We ordered several appetizers, and then our entrees; finishing up with dessert and espresso. Excellent, attentive service. The food came out right on time; entrees after we were mostly done with the appetizers. Very pleasant. The space is a little loud just in terms of acoustics. As I go through my 50s I have a harder time picking out conversation in clattery environments, but Salut wasn't too busy Sunday evening so it was just loud enough to have a vibe and an atmosphere, but not so loud I had any trouble conversing. Wonderful evening, and we'll be back.
Food was fantastic and reasonably priced. Our server was outstanding and very informative. Only knock was the price of liquor. $17 for a glass of Basil Hayden. I think the W is cheaper and there was no pricing menu for the spirits. Other than that I will frequent this place often.
Excellent as usual.
CJ at the bar was extremely distracting. It was Valentine's Day, and he was whining about having to work longer hours. I work in the industry, and on holidays, it's pretty obvious why no one would be cut. Yet he made a huge scene at the bar in front of many guests and his own shift leader. I don't normally review my experiences, but this was worth talking about. Christian and the woman working the lead handled it with grace, but it really should not have happened on the floor...
Great food great service once seated. Bar service was nonexistent. But the food is amazing and desserts are delicious.
One of the worst restaurants I have been to in s long time. Basically an overpriced greasy Applebee’s
We've gone to Salute for Valentines for many years, we were disappointed last year but thought we'd try it one more time, what a disappointment, food was average at best.
As stated, it was our favourite restaurant and now a place I won't return to
Entree arrived when we hadn’t started the appetizer. The lobster entree consisted of two bites of lobster. The server was excellent.
It was good however my husband order a non-alcoholic drink and on delivering the drink the server made the comment that “when you turned 21 she’d bring him a nice glass of wine” My husband has an addiction and the comment was inappropiate
Salute is always good! the service is excellent and the food is too.
We were given a cozy booth in the back, just as requested. Meeting for a later lunch allowed us to hang out afterward and just chat and not feel like we were holding the table up. We both had the Croque Madame and pomme frites and they were delicious. Our waitstaff was friendly and just the right level of attentive. Thanks! I will be back.
Fun atmosphere, good food, and great service. The was plenty of items to choose from on the menu.
We love this place. Terrific classic bistro menu, attentive service, great ambience.
It's our favorite spot for family celebration, both family and kid friendly.
All that a nice wine list.
Good service. Food amazing
Went to lunch with 2 friends prior to going to a movie at Edina Theater and we had a really delicious meal. I had the egg white omelette with a salad. Tasty. But the best part was the baguette I ordered separately. It was served with warm butter, oil with an olive and the bread was crusty, but not the kind of crusty that rips the roof of your mouth. Only complaint is that our server seemed to overlook us, but we stopped another worker and she was kind enough to take our order. We had concerns about making it to the movie, but our food came out very quickly.
Food was excellent, could not have been more perfect.
We had reservations for dinner and we were seated in the bar area. No excuse for that.
