Everything took a little longer than it needed to. The waitress was very nice, but just wasn’t super attentive. We were celebrating our daughter’s birthday and she got a random dessert and was later told, “oh sorry, we forgot the candle.” I felt so embarrassed as a parent for my daughter (who already didn’t really want to go out, but we suggested Salut) we didn’t have a bad time, just got a little let down from the lack of detail for our special occasion.

Salut is a great place to eat, always reliably good service and delicious food. We come whenever we need to head to the 50th and France area.

Reasonably good food. A bit pricey. The place seems to be moving away from French food toward the typical Minneapolis menu of burgers and fries. Sadly the Salud in St. Paul has closed. A very bright kind waitstaff and fairly quiet ambiance, a nice change from high decibel joints.

We were able to be seated in the alley outside, which was very pleasant and quiet. The service and food were wonderful. I had the Moule, two had a pasta, one a dinner salad and another, a burger. All were jprepared and presented very well. The extra brad for dipping in the Moule sauce was orgasmic.

Friends were visiting from out of state, and we desired a nice brunch on a Saturday, late morning. We were able to choose from breakfast or lunch items and some in our party had cocktails. Everyone enjoyed their selection, and our waiter was just fantastic. There weren't many people in the restaurant at the time (11 am), thus it was on the quiet side. One of our friends wanted a cup of decaf coffee and they made a pot just to accommodate him. We'll be going back, again.

The tomato in the tomato burrata salad was made well in advance. The extended time in the fridge made them mealy in texture. It’s disappointing that Salut could not take the time to simply cut the tomatoes fresh. The restaurant was not busy. Our waiter was very nice and attentive, and made the experience better than it would have been otherwise.
