Salum Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
As always, the crew at Salum made us feel more than welcomed. Abraham, is as genuine and authentic of a chef you will ever run across. He continues to be creative while maintaining his consistency and offering a high quality experience. (While still being semi-casual)
What an amazing find!! Our first time to this serene, classy intimate restaurant, and we will definitely be back often! From the management, to the staff, to the amazing chefs and delicious offerings....all above and beyond. We are thrilled to add this to our list of favorites!
We’ve been several times now to Salum and the food and service is always top notch. We are always greeted cordially at the door and seated promptly for our reservation. It is a vibrant atmosphere but we never have difficulty hearing each other at the table. This is truly a fine dining yet unpretentious gem in Dallas.
Had dinner on a Monday night, it was very quite. I ate the Cider Braised Beef Short Ribs with
Yukon Gold Potatoes, Roasted Tomatoes and Gruyere Gratin which had all the expected flavors. My dining partner had the Grilled Atlantic Salmon with Spaghetti Squash Pad Thai, Kecap Manis Glaze which looked amazing. He ate all of it without a word, so it was good.
Really I have been here too many times and really nothing to write but I love this place. Menu varied and changing so something for everyone. The service is always so friendly but not overbearing. They are also very efficient and responsive to requests. Has a formal/informal atmosphere. Have had lunch and dinner and food is consistently excellent. I will keep coming back and look forward to the next time.
Chef Abraham and his staff are always exemplify the definition of professionalism. They are warm and truly care about their patrons. We were celebrating a special anniversary and the team at Salum were very complimentary and took extra care of us. It was a wonderful dinner with wonderful hosts.
We love Salum, we frequent it often. The service is good the food is always good. Abraham is always there, when Abraham is there the kitchen is running smoothly and the food is coming out on top. The menu changes, nice choices of fish, meat, chicken and good salads.
We have had several very good meals and very enjoyable evenings at Salum, but our last outing there was disappointing. The seafood fideau or however it was spelled was a bit overcooked and had too much pasta and too little seafood. The mussels and frites were good but nothing worth re-ordering.
Sadly it may be a long time before we return.
We had a reservation at 6 for a pretheater dinner. Our server was very attentive to our timing and closely watched our food arrival to make sure we left on time for our play. I had a favorite of mine at Salum, the lamb chop, which again was wonderful. My husband had a Spanish dish, similar to a Paella , which had seafood, and vermicelli vs rice. He had the fried green tomatoes with crab for appetizer which was excellent, and a very large potion. We had a lovely Pinot Noir
Abraham Salum was at his usual post at the restaurant and is always a welcoming host.!
It's always a pleasure. The staff is always happy to see you. They're always very accommodating and thoughtful. This unlike any other visit required some menu concessions for my dining companion who doesn't typically need special dietary concessions for a health concern. Abraham and his staff were accommodating and she was very pleasantly surprised down to the dessert.
More importantly she noted the wide variety of food and preparation and marveled at the fine execution of it all.
Salum is a Dallas treasure. Chef owned and operated. Always a warm, personal greeting from Abraham and the service is genuine. Everyone is made to feel special.
Always look forward to favorites on the menu but love the seasonal dishes as well. Great wine list, and cocktails are prepared expertly.
Salum is a great place for an intimate date night or a special occasion with your closest friends, family or colleagues. The diners cross generations.
