Perfection from beginning to end. The service is exceptional, the food is among the best in Dallas and the atmosphere is superb. Highly recommend for both lunch and dinner. Chef driven dishes with a creative flare but absolutely delicious!
Excellent food and service.
Very loud. We all had difficulty hearing one another.
Love this restaurant. Outstanding service, delicious food, and creative menu. A must-hit if you’re in Dallas!
Wonderful place. Fabulous food
Service was top notch. Our waiter was outstanding. Wine list was good. The food however was forgettable. The best dish were the mussels but it's hard to mess up mussels in a wine and butter sauce. Main courses were disappointing, including the special which was oxtail tortellini. Pasta tasted like it was frozen or had been microwaved, very rubbery. This was a last minute choice that was regretful. There was a reason there was availability on a Friday night.
Everything about Salum is both considered and considerate. Staff are knowledgeable and interested in guest experience. You cannot go wrong when making the decision to eat at Salum!
Food and service are outstanding. A great spot for reasonably priced business lunch and for conversation.
There were four of us for a celebratory lunch. The menu met everyone's needs and our waitperson was very knowledgeable. Everyone's meal was perfect and they enjoyed it. Had a great visit by Abraham. I loved my Smoked Salmon Egg Salad. We had three desserts and Abraham was able to offer a great suggestion for one of the diners that had milk and nut allergies. Fun was had by all. This was three of the four first time and they are definitely coming back.
Never a disappointment. Great food. I have never had a bad meal here. Always A+++. This is a quiet and convenient place to get amazing food.
Excellent food and service with elegant presentation. Owner/chef Abraham Salum walks the floor checking with patrons on their satisfaction with the food while overseeing the kitchen, which is visible from the restaurant floor.
Excellent food and service as always. We enjoy the creative menu. Mussels are the best in town!
The food as usual was delicious, and we had the nicest wait person.
Food and service (from Maria) were excellent! (Gave her a 25% tip.)
We visited for a co-worker’s birthday. Very nice staff, great food and value. I will definitely return.
Fantastic lunch- outstanding service.
Every bite was wonderful. The best lamb chops I’ve had in years!!! Service was superb. Everything was pretty much perfection. Thank you to Abraham and the whole staff
Service was attentive and friendly. The owner stopped by to chat. My Pate’ starter was delicious and plenty for 4 people. My entree’ of handmade pasta fettuccine with shrimp with lemon & arugula pesto was heavy handed with garlic & needed more lemon zing. Dessert was Devine, Coffee Creme Brûlée with raspberries. I will go again as the menu did have interesting choices.
We went to Salum’s to celebrate my sister’s birthday and let me tell you this is the place to go for any special occasion! The food was amazing and the waiter was attentive but not annoying, they have a small menu that’s easy on the eyes in order to select your entree faster, but even then you find yourself trying to decide what savory food you want, the wait was a little longer than usual restaurants but well worth it and filling. Overall I will be coming back for more!
Nice neighborhood feel but food is very good too. Reasonable prices for authentic continental classics. Lamb chops were delicious and the lobster (wife) was great! Or so I was told.
Overall service was solid. Mixed drink offerings were interesting and well done. Wine list is limited, but bottles selected were excellent. 4 different appetizers chosen and all were very good. All four of us had the caprese salad offering and unfortunately it was served WAY too cold and flavors were muted. Beef Wellington was a different style, but was truly outstanding. Scallop and lobster entrees were innovative and enjoyable, but the barramundi was unfortunately fishy and fairly disappointing. The chocolate cake dessert was very good, but the often challenging bread pudding offering was sadly doughy/dense though the flavors were attractive. Had not been in a while and am pondering strength of my interest in returning soon. The establishment has an excellent reputation and has been prospered for a very long time in a city that challenges restaurants to survive. It just seems to possibly need a little "refreshing/resetting".
We had excellent service and the food was very good. The wine list, although not extensive, is well-curated. Every restaurant has a bad table though and unfortunately that is where we were seated.
Great food, ambience, noise level, service, .
When in doubt, go to Slaum one of the best in Dallas.
As always, our meals were well-prepared and presented. Delicious beyond belief.
Service was impeccable but still friendly. Always a favorite go-to place to dine.
Four friends went for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We could hear each other and the service was attentive but not interrupting.
Came in late when they were closing and still treated me amazingly. I think it was the manager who was very accommodating, and Julio at the bar was awesome.
As always, a great meal and very welcoming service
Made reservations for lunch for 2:30 on Opentable, upon arrival we were greeted by the host who informed us they were closed which we then told him we had reservations at that time.
He checked and confirmed we indeed had reservations for that time, he went to the kitchen to see if they’re were still open (mind you they had people inside still eating) and came back to tell us “I’m sorry the chef left, we close for Siesta”.
Overall extremely poor customer service knowing we had drove 20 minutes for our reservation, acknowledged that we had reservations and still decided to not serve us.
Get the muscles. Every time get the muscles.
Overall a good dinner except the tables for valentine were all to close... it’s a shame as it did spoil the whole experience
A fabulous Valentines evening - Salum never disappoints from fabulous food to stellar service.
Server paid almost no attention to us. Salad was three pieces of whole lettuce with some dressing. Beef wellington (your way) was not a beef wellington at all and was not explained. Had it been mentioned what (your way) meant i would have ordered something different.
Great food-imaginative-well prepared,great flavors
Wonderful dinner - food & service were great. Started with mussels for appetizer - wonderful.
For entrees had baramundi and beef wellington - both wonderful. Creme brulee for dessert - wonderful!
Awesome all around.
Salum is a favorite for special occasions. Went for Valentine’s lunch to avoid the crowds and had a lovely, unhurried lunch.
One of Dallas best dining experiences, exquisite food and great service. Highly recommend
