Salum Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
2018 has started off with another great menu offering at Salum and is definitely worth checking out.
I had the Pan Roasted Cod with Root Vegetable and Saffron Stew with Crispy Carrots. The flavor profile was bold and but yet not overbearing. I would definitely eat this again and again. My dining partners both had the Braised Veal Ossobuco with Creamy Polenta, Feta, Onion and Kalamata Olives. I got to try a little if it, oh yeah had I not ordered the Cod, this plate would have been my second choice. The two bites I got made my taste buds sing a wonderful song.
The food is really excellent and the menu changes seasonally. The chef takes an imaginative approach to designing the dishes and menu although some favorites are always available. They have the best fish and chips in town. The staff is friendly and attentive, but not annoyingly attentive. The atmosphere is pleasant and elegant, and the space is intimate and comfortable. It is nice to go to a restaurant for a business lunch that is quiet enough to carry on a conversation.
Salum offers an amazing dining experience in a elegant setting and with wonderful, but unpretentious servic. The food is simply delicious from He goat cheese and elephant garlic appetizer to the well-prepared, lamb, duchess and seafood entrees. Every aspeact of our dinner was near-perfect.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Salum, from start to finish! The service was attentive and warm. The wine by the glass was delicious & reasonably priced. We loved our mussels appetizer and salad. Our entrees were both outstanding. And we even met Chef Salum on the way out to share our compliments.
Salum has the best food & experience! The Filet is excellent. They have the best multigrain hot rolls & butter. We had Lemon Raspberry Cake made fresh . Our server, Mary, is always very friendly & anticipates every need. The music is perfect & decor is modern & beautiful. We were celebrating a birthday, but this is our favorite anytime.
The December menu is wonderful!
I had the Pan Seared Texas Redfish Maque Choux with Chili Fried Okra. The Maque and Okra were so addictive I had to ask for an extra side of it. Thankfully I was able get more of it.
My dining partner had the Grilled Swordfish Steak Mediterranean Sorghum Salad and Citrus Gremolata. He really enjoyed his meal too. Swordfish cooked perfectly medium with so many flavors that worked together on that plate.
They had a special dessert that night - Chocolate Cake!! OMG, out was outrageously awesome. Airy light cake with dense chocolate flavor!
Rachel, thank you! You are AWESOME! Thanks for another great night at Salum!
As always, the crew at Salum made us feel more than welcomed. Abraham, is as genuine and authentic of a chef you will ever run across. He continues to be creative while maintaining his consistency and offering a high quality experience. (While still being semi-casual)
What an amazing find!! Our first time to this serene, classy intimate restaurant, and we will definitely be back often! From the management, to the staff, to the amazing chefs and delicious offerings....all above and beyond. We are thrilled to add this to our list of favorites!
We’ve been several times now to Salum and the food and service is always top notch. We are always greeted cordially at the door and seated promptly for our reservation. It is a vibrant atmosphere but we never have difficulty hearing each other at the table. This is truly a fine dining yet unpretentious gem in Dallas.
Had dinner on a Monday night, it was very quite. I ate the Cider Braised Beef Short Ribs with
Yukon Gold Potatoes, Roasted Tomatoes and Gruyere Gratin which had all the expected flavors. My dining partner had the Grilled Atlantic Salmon with Spaghetti Squash Pad Thai, Kecap Manis Glaze which looked amazing. He ate all of it without a word, so it was good.
