I booked a table for a working dinner meeting with co-workers flying in from several states. We were met at the door promptly and seated immediately. The kitchen is open, and you can see the owner (Salum) back there cooking away. Larry was our server and knew the history of the restaurant and menu well, and guided us for wine and appetizer choices of Texas goat cheese with garlic, and the mussels. Most of us ordered the lamb, which is the only thing on the menu that does not rotate monthly. It was delicious, well seasoned, perfectly med rare, accompanied by perfectly prepared crisp/tender mixed veg. The wine list was extensive enough but not overwhelming, and they had fave after dinner spirits on the menu for all. Good parking, easy to navigate location, casual elegant ambiance, and great service with wonderful food - I'll be back, and would be happy to bring business guests with me.

The food here is always 5 star but it is the staff that has us returning for the past 10 years or so. They are so professional and so friendly.

We always enjoy our visits to Salum. This week was no exception. We had lunch with our dear friend, George Harris, and laughed and shared stories and vowed to do this again very soon. We are sorry we missed Abri! I had the season pumpkin ravioli - YUMMY!!! And we all shared some of the bread pudding!
Good food, mediocre service, slow at lunch so hard for business lunches.
It feels like a hidden gem, a small/medium venue that churns out delectable eats with an elegant ambiance (gentle, yet ample lighting, comfortable seats, table lights, etc) that gives this place an aura of something special, prompting you to think it requires an occasion, but I more than assure you it's absolutely welcoming to casual eaters, like a neighborhood staple. The bread is fresh and delicious, the soup of the day is scrumptious, cocktails well-balanced and ever-changing, just like the seasonal menu. We had three different plates between us 3 and not a single plate had any leftovers. Yes, they can COOK and it shows. I was there for my birthday and they made a little delightful affair of it when our wonderful guide for the evening recommended the bourbon bread pudding. I could go on, but just go and see and enjoy yourself here. Have the chef greet you personally because he cares about your experience, the staff guide you along your evening, the drinks tasty, and the courses even more delightful. I'll be back in a couple weeks to take my brother out here too when he's back in town.
Salum is one of my all-time favorite restaurants in Dallas. I always enjoy my time there. The food is consistently amazing, as is the service and staff. I highly recommend this place to everyone.
It was a Saturday night and room noise was loud by Salum standards, medium in comparison to most restaurants these days. Food was, as usual, delicious. Service was impeccable.

Outstanding mederainan style restaurant. The food and service were both terrific. The escargot in a pastry was some of the best I have had. The Barramundi was very tasty fish dish entre.

Abraham continues to set the standard for American dining in Dallas. While there continue to be old favorites on the menu, some menu items are constantly changing. Specifically, the escargots appetizer is now served in a delicate, buttery puff pastry which is absolutely terrific.

We love this place for lunch and dinner. This was probably my 30th or 30th visit and Salum did not disappoint. Spaghetti carbonara: good cheese sauce but overall too salty -- with parmesan and bacon, salt can be an issue but doesn't have to be.
Beef wellington was not en croute but the tenderloin had a little "beanie" of puff pastry and that was actually just fine. Two orders came out of the kitchen perfectly cooked: one medium rare, one medium. Excellent side veggies.
The black manhattan was worth getting again, the curry beef soup was outstanding, and the apple-berry crisp was, as usual, outstanding.
Service was a bit on the diffident side. We had to ask for our cocktail order to be taken and once drinks were delivered had to ask for the bread (three pieces in the basket for a table of three? seemed a little light).
We loved our evening. Our server, Rachel, was top notch, and our food was excellent. We especially loved the chocolate cake for dessert. Rachel told us that Abraham Salum has made it himself!
This is the perfect spot for date night or celebrating a special event. Food is amazing and the service is second to none. Chef Abraham Salum is so kind and makes a point to make you feel at home.

It was our anniversary and the food and service here is always first class. My wife had fried green tomatoes stuffed with crab meat and then lobster tail with watermelon. I had crispy shrimp spring rolls and then beef Wellington. Our dessert was sticky toffee date cake. It was all wonderful! The chef/owner, Abraham Salum, greets and seats you and then checks back after your meal to make sure it was enjoyable. That says a lot after opening this great restaurant 14 years ago. Thank you.
