5th time here and something was really off, serving french fries w/container of ketchup beside a fillet was truly terrible! We're told after serving the martinis no olives, no big deal but Surprised, waitress was OK and not as good or professional as all our other times with other waiters, a disappointing evening at 180.00 tab. Our. Fillets were well seasoned and tender, carrots WAY undercooked and potatoes were OK but as stated not a good choice for such a great restaurant.Contacted owner via e mail but have had no response; we live in the area and frequent Saluda's but there are many other fine restaurants around for us to go to. Hope it was just an off night. After looking at the menu again, our dish was different than described.
My wife and I really enjoyed our food and experience. Highly recommend. We will be returning we are in the area.
I treated my girlfriend to a birthday dinner at Saluda's, and everything was absolutely wonderful. Neither of us had ever been to the restaurant before, so it was our first time there. The food and the service were great, and I plan to return again.
This was our first visit to Saluda's. Our waitress Madison was outstanding. We ordered the mussels for appetizer and honestly these were the best mussels I have ever eaten. Just divine. I had the scallops entree and it was excellent. Had a bottle of the Rhone (red) wine (can't remember the name) and it was not expensive, but very good. Highly recommend. We will be back!
Saluda's is the best date night restaurant. Devine food, beautiful ambiance, and excellent customer service. You have to experience Saludas.
Saluda's was amazing! The food tasted great- very savory, and was priced reasonably. The atmosphere of the restaurant was the best part- it was quiet, with low lighting and soft music, allowing for a very rich, elegant environment to accompany our dining experience.
Our server Kylie was very personable and informative, and recommended a wine that brought the whole meal together.
The restaurant also looks over the Five Points area fountain, making for a very nice view while you eat.
I will definitely be returning as soon as I'm back in Columbia!
2nd time at Saluda's and they did not disappoint, they opening bread just melts in your mouth! I had the scallops which were cooked to perfection.
A very enjoyable experience. Beef carpaccio was fantastic. Tiramisu was a little disappointing but overall we were pleased.
After living in Charleston for 17 years we thought we wouldn't find a really good food scene.
Over the last year we have found a couple of good ones. Saluda's tops the list for us
Focused menu, excellent food and service. Bar area within dining area creates somewhat noisy atmosphere if seated nearby. Hard floors, walls, and ceilings increases the noise level.
Havent eaten at Saluda's and decided to for NYEve. Think i have always eaten on the patios- great view.
Love the look of the indoors, but as most restaurants these days, indoors is always too loud.
I try and eat vegan and the waiter and chef were happy to oblige:)
A lovely, romantic evening:)
Beautiful.night for a celebratory dinner. Waitress was outstanding and the service was impeccable. Swift easy seating, food was delicious!
I love Saluda's but we happened to pick graduation night to meet another couple for dinner to celebrate the holidays. We had a reservation but when we arrived the only table they had available was outside on the porch in December:(. It was a warm night so we could have done that but decided to wait for one inside instead and it took another 45 minutes us to be seated. After waiting, our waiter was wonderful and food excellent.
A little hard to find, but the food was delicious and the service was great. We will be back.
Our dinner was wonderful, I had the filet my husband had the lamb. Both were cooked to perfection . Our waitress was a wonderful, very attentive to our requests. We will be going back sometime in February. This was our first time to Saludas and was very impressed.
We enjoyed Saluda's for a pre-concert dinner. Everyone loved their meal except my 11 yo daughter, but a quick delivery of grits sealed the deal for even her :) We enjoy Saluda's, it is a great standby for us. Never a bad meal, service -- everything is always terrific.
Waitress was awesome! Everyone is always friendly.
This is definitely a special occasion restaurant. I went to celebrate my 50th birthday with friends and it was yummy, yummy, yummy! It's pricey but very worth it! Have the meat & 3 for the appetizer. I guarantee you won't be disappointed!
Our food and service were both very good; Saluda's is a favorite for us , and we usually dine there with another couple who have lots of children and welcome a night out when possible!
Was greeted by woman who asked if we wanted inside or outside dining - as it was a chilly late October night, I asked if there were heaters outside. A simple "no" would have done; instead, I was frostily lectured that the restaurant was doing its best to minimize its global footprint. I can respect that and recognize that the restaurant's hallmark is local sourcing - but staff should save the opinion part and just politely direct the patron to an inside table. Food was ok but will likely try another restaurant to celebrate a special occasion before I go back again.
