Saluda's
We had tile fish, lamb osso bucco and the scallops. All delicious! Jessica was fabulous and made our evening memorable.
Overall, the dining experience was very good and the dinner menu was very creative. However, I was curious why the chef decided to use shredded carrots in a sweet glaze to accompany the cold ahi tuna appetizer. The sweet flavor overpowered the delicate and perfectly cooked tuna which was served rare. In addition, the sesame seed coating on the tuna had no flavor/character. I recommend that the chef create a Tamari/Sesame oil/Fresh Ginger dipping sauce and replace the boring shredded carrots with a seaweed salad.
Overall was good. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and attentive. Good was overall very good. Had an issue with the ribeye steak meal but was handled quickly and professionally. Will be back again.
We were in town visiting our daughter at usc. We have dined here before and wanted to return. Saluda’s was excellent again. We enjoyed fun cocktails and mussels to start. Service was wonderful and gave us time in between courses to relax and enjoy our meal. We all had different entrees and they were all delicious. Prices are reasonable considering the quality of the food. The sides that accompany the meals were excellent also.
Saluda's continues to be our favorite restaurant in Columbia.
Wonderful service. Delicious food and drinks. Would recommend.
Our meal was delicious and it was the perfect place for dinner with friends.
Dinner was fabulous! Drinks we're really good as well. Can't wait to return.
Everything was cooked perfectly! We did a mixture of appetizers and had scallops for dinner. Passed on dessert, but did indulge in some wine and cheese. Beautiful selection
It was our 8th Anniversary!!!
Mediocre food. Nice server. Cold in seating above front door.
Service was amazing and the food was prepared just as requested!
This was our first time and everything was fantastic! The space, the service, the food! Loved it.
Could not have been happier, it was our 1st visit but not the last! Well made old fashioned to start, charcuterie and cheese board for openers. I had the steak special, my wife had the shrimp and grits. Both outstanding!
Great food and eating outside over the 5 Points district was really enjoyable. Service was terrific. Corbin was a great waiter and pleasant.
Love this spot! My wife and I came here some year's ago and really enjoyed the food. It was was noisy that night, because of the St. Patrick's day festivities. But the food was incredible then and incredible now!
The experience was good as always but I left a note on OpenTable that it was my birthday and throughout the whole dinner my server never made 1 comment about it and I felt like that was poor service.
Fantastic shrimp and grits! Love the location downtown too
I have had great meals here and this visit I tried the ranch steak and fried buffalo oysters. Neither was really my favorite choice. I thought the ranch steak would be more tender. Other people in the party loved the shrimp and grits and swordfish. Still a great spot.
Our server was excellent! She was very knowledgeable and helpful. Just a wonderful experience as always.
Took 2 hours to get our food, the manager did not apologize for the wait, it was super expensive, and my food was raw and I got my steak brought up and it came back charred.
My first experience was outstanding in every way. I will definitely be back. Very warm and inviting experience.
My wife and I celebrated our 5th anniversary at Saluda's. We had a wonderful dinning experience. The food was very delicious and our waitstaff was great. We were able to set and have a nice conversation with out any disturbance with a room full of others. That was nice. Free Free valet parking was a treat too. Go to Saluda's. You will enjoy it.....
Newly weds on our 6-month anniversary! Just wanted something a little fancy to celebrate.
Came in to Saluda’s and they surprised us with two glasses of champagne. Ordered an appetizer of Seared Ahi Tuna. Came out in about 3.5 mins and was amazing!
Ordered entree right after and came out just as fast.
The food was delicious!
Highly recommend the cream brûlée! We would definitely go back!
Staff was amazing and attentive but also left you alone to eat. Never had an empty glass of water as all the staff hep each other out.
5 out of 5 stars. Will be back!
Food was good and service excellent, BUT it is a very noisy place. If you have hearing difficulties I do not recommend it.
Some of the best fried green tomatoes I’ve ever eaten!!
The whole experience was wonderful will be going back.
Saluda's is a wonderful restaurant in the Five Points area of Columbia. However, it is not handicap accessible and the only public entrance is a long, steep stairway. I watched as a man brought a wheelchair up to the top of the stairs and then went back down to assist a woman trying to come up the stairs. She got right to the top and they then decided to leave. The building is designated as historic and apparently can't/won't be modified.
Our waitress said she was having an "off" night. Hope that was the case. I ordered the blackened salmon which was a bit too charred on the outside and a little under cooked on the inside. Perhaps the kitchen was having an "off" night also.
Wonderful experience! Erin was our server and she did an outstanding job. Highly recommended!!
Saluda's is always wonderful......my "go to" restaurant for any occasion.
All of our dishes were outstanding. Service very good. Well done !
Great service in a romantic atmosphere outside
Delicious seafood and spirits menu.
Specialty requests for dietary restrictions was easily honored. Very special server, courteous, knowledgeable, and attentive.
Great food. Fantastic service! Will definitely recommend this restaurant.
Our waiter was incredible. The food never disappoints. The patio seating was great. Our favorite place in Columbia
Fifty year wedding anniversary. Server Olivia was outstanding. Hearing that we were celebrating 50 years of marriage, Olivia brought us two flutes of champagne - on the house. She was helpful with her suggestions for appetizers, entrees, and desserts. She was attentive to
a perfect degree.
The food was delicious - vegetables fresh and well prepared, and steaks perfectly cooked and tender. All the food was well seasoned. The chocolate cake was intensely chocolate, moist, and generous.
My bride and I look forward to another opportunity to dine at one of our favorite restaurants on the Columbia area.
We were visiting Columbia and decided to try Saluda based on reviews. What a lovely experience! It was drizzly so we didn’t sit outside but our window table gave us a great view. Our server was charming and knowledgeable. The cucumber gazpacho was so refreshing. My husband’s pork chop was perfect, and my scallops with summer vegetables was delicious. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Columbia.
Great time. Courteous staff
Belated Anniversary
