Salty's on the Columbia Ratings and Reviews
Enjoyed out Stuffed Salmon dinners very much, Unfortunately, our entrees beat our starter plate to the table. Loved the crab cakes on the starter trio but, calamari was a little overdone and chewy. The salmon main course was very nice but, the same or better quality dinner can be had elsewhere in town for less than the $95.00 a person we spent here.
The overall experience was very pleasant.
I made reservations for a Valentine’s Day dinner. Waited around 20minutes to be seated (it was on Valentine’s Day) so I understood the wait time.
I received quick service, the staff were very nice as well. A waiter nearby causally sang along with the live performer. I loved it!
I ordered the NY Steak. It was PERFECTION! I requested that the cream blue cheese be on the side and unfortunately it arrived on the steak. I then didn’t make a fuss about it and went on and tried it. Normally, I despise blue cheese but for some reason it worked very well with the flavors in the meat.
The whipped potatoes were delicious, flavorful and filling. The broccoli... O.M.G!
Only downfall... well just a slight downfall, their portion sizes are not huge. For the price, you would think you’d have a little more filling to the plate. Besides that, perfect!
Overall, I had a great visit and will be back soon for brunch. I heard it was amazing!
I was at that restaurant before and the food was always awesome.
We went for a Valentines dinner with my boyfriend and my daughter. The food was afoul. Cold and over cooked.
The valet parking it's tooks us almost 30 minutes wait to get our car.
I don't think I'll be ever be back to that place again.
Celebrated Valentine’s Day here with my hubby and it was amazing. The lobster and filet mignon were cooked perfectly and you can never go wrong with creme brûlée! A must dining experience.. however be ready to spend some extra money... it is worth it though!
The staff was remarkable and very attentive through out the service. And would love to go again, but the prices were a bit high for the normal working class. That would be the only reason we could not come back for a year. The waitress was amazing. Towards the end of the meal the waitress brought a piece of cake with a candle for my fiancee's belated birthday. It was a surprise for both of us. Very enjoyable experience.
You can’t get better than this for brunch. Obviously we picked a busy weekend right before Valentines Day, so it’s expected. Food was fresh and plenty of options for even people with food allergies. Server, Tiffani, was wonderful and on top of our drink refills and clearing plates. I was worried about navigating the stairs since I’m clumsy but managed just fine. All and All wonderful.
Took my wife here for our 9th anniversary. We had a fun time, though we don't get out much so a fun time for us is easily had. Great view of the Columbia river, Very friendly and patient service. We had the appetizer trio with calamari, prawns and a crab cake, then we both had the new York steaks which were cooked perfectly to our order. Didn't even need the old A1 sauce, very flavorful as it came. The mango and peach lemonades were delicious and not over sweetened. They brought us a piece of white chocolate mousse cake on the house, very nice of them, which was absolutely delicious! The only regret we had was paying $158 for everything. I mean, its not like we ordered anything so special that it should cost a lot, we're talking about steaks here, nothing rare or complex. I'm confident we could have just as satisfying of a meal elsewhere for $100. That's the only reason we wouldn't go here again. Even if I was rich I would still feel like the value to cost ratio is too far apart at their advantage. That's just my feelings on the experience, hope it helps you.
Our waiter was awful, pretentious and rude. My friend and I were having a girls night and he acted like he had already decided that we couldn't afford to eat there, which is ridiculous. We could hear other servers giving specials and making suggestions. Ours was notably absent and disinterested. The reason I would still go back is that I mentioned the poor service to the hostess as we were leaving. The manager came out and apologized, gave us each a gift card and invited us to come back and have a better experience. I was gratified that she was so nice, seemed to appreciate our feedback. I have been to the brunch before and loved it, have also been there for dinner, this is my first bad experience and I won't let it sour me.
Really good food. I was a little surprised when we entered ( We had a reservation) we were told to limit our stay to 1 1/2 hours. I thought this was a bit tacky, we bring guest there a lot and I would have been VERY embarrassed if we would have had guest that day. Our waitress was wonderful as usual (we always seem to get the same one and she always remembers us.
My only problem is the young gals at the front and the " Limit your stay to 1 1/2 hours"
