Salty's on the Columbia
I have been to Salty’s on multiple occasions and this visit certainly did not disappoint. The food was excellent and Rachel did an excellent job guiding through this visit. You also cannot beat the view of the Columbia River. This was another great experience and I hope to visit again soon.
Love Salty’s! Went on a Monday night for the first time and the crowd was light. Had the Cioppino and it was delicious.
The service was excellent! Our thanks to Brian for being so attentive to all of our needs and then some. The food was also excellent. You pay more here than the average restaurant but you get way more than you expect! The view was really nice and the ambiance of the restaurant was welcoming and warm.
Fantastic food and wonderful service.
Absolutely amazing brunch! Very fresh seafood! Make your own Bloody Mary bar is a great idea!
The brunch and service is excellent. I love the crab.
A very nice dinner with excellent service and attention to our experience by the wait staff.
The main course fish soup we ordered was brought to the table not warm enough. While the waiter took it back and had it heated further, the restaurant should have done something to make this right. At a minimum they should have offered a free dessert but a finer restaurant would not have charged for such a gross mistake. The meal was otherwise fine.
Food, drinks, service, and ambiance were perfect. Will definitely return.
Saltys has THE best brunch in the city! The choices of tasty foods are plentiful and delicious. It is our go-to place to go for family celebrations.
Salty's is airways a good choice! The food is fantastic, and they have the best brunch in town. Great views too.
The food was amazing, there view is gorgeous and our service was excellent.
Mediocre at best. Definitely NOT worth the price tag ($55 Sunday Brunch/$65 w/bottomless mimosas). Very noisy, overcrowded, service suffered because it was so busy, food was average buffet quality, and the point of a reservation here is basically moot. My reservation is to guarantee a spot in the restaurant in general?! What’s the difference between a planned ahead phone call/ appointment and someone just walking in off the street and giving their name? Oh, nothing. Asinine.
Fabulous as always!!!!
I'm not certain if making reservations are done in order. But to make a reservation and get the back of the top floor looking at the parking lot doesn't seem to be the greatest experience. Food was good, however.
Always a fantastic time at Salty’s for brunch. It’s definitely the Best Brunch in Portland hands down. The servers are all so polite and accommodating. You just can’t go wrong here.
We had a wonderful time, The view was spectacular! We can’t wait to go back.
Our server Justin was very attentive. The omlettes were delicious. My favorite are the apple dumplings. Like the room arrangement since the last time we were there
Excellent meal as always
I've been to this establishment a number of times. The food is always good and the service is always great. Celebrated my anniversary there this year since I am familiar with the menu and knew I would be full and satisfied when leaving. I tried to get something special for the anniversary but was unsuccessful. I was told I'd at least get a window seat which I didnt. Wasn't a horrible experience by any means but celebrating my anniversary could have been a little better there.
Before I moved to the Pacific northwest, I tried to include Salty's on every trip north. Now that I live here, I'm planning to be a regular. Food and service are exemplary.
I never write reviews, but always read them. We were very happy with our experience at Salty's. We went here for New years eve and it was perfect. The food was amazing, somewhat high priced from what we are used to, but worth it. (My husband is still talking about the oysters). The atmosphere and service were great. Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly. The hostess accommodated my request to sit by the window, which was why I made a reservation. We will definitely go here again. I want to try their brunch, so we can see the wonderful view of the river during the day, although the lights on the river were pretty spectacular as well.
The food was very good but prices are a little to high. The service was excellent
Excellent food and service
Very nice evening
Very good food, great views of the river and most importantly it's quiet enough to have a conversation.
The best brunch in Portland. Always our first pick for a special occasion. Great for kids.
We loved the experience. Hesitated because it's a pricey brunch tab BUT the food was sooo good, well prepped, tender cuts of beef and ham, sweetest fruit, great variety of everything! And very attentive, friendly wait staff--instant service. It was a fabulous experience! I'd warn that the Columbia river restaurant has stairs to a second level, with buffet on the 1st level. They were happy to accommodate us by moving us downstairs due to mobility issues. Definitely go again.
Friends from Nevada recommended Salty’s so I made the half hour trip from my hotel in the Pearl District. They must have visited a long time ago when the restaurant was possibly good. For $75, I received one pound of red crab legs that were still in the shell and served at room temperature. The only accompaniments were drawn butter, some unremarkable potato pieces (again, at room temperature) and a really horrid “finnocchio” sauce. When I inquired about bread, I was told there would be a $5 charge. I hated to have to tell my friends how disappointing the experience was. Didn’t stay for dessert.
Food was excellent and view was lovely. Staff was very helpful and helped us celebrate a birthday
Very nice evening!
Salty's is great! Delicious food, great service, and beautiful views.
The food was unbelievable. We saw Santa and he was the best Santa we've seen this year. Price is VERY high not sure if we will go next Christmas because of the price but the service and food is always great at Salty's you can't beat it.
Staff and food were extraordinary.
My mother in law got sick after eating here (she had oysters and the scallops) and my veal shank was not as tender and flavorful as expected. The risotto also lacked flavor. For the food and amount we paid, I think we might find a new restaurant for the holidays. We have yet to try the brunch. Maybe one more try will determine if we’ll be back.
We had reservations at 5 pm. I believe there were only two other couples seated and all were along the window. First thing we noticed was it was very very cold. When I looked at their limited menu and heard the special I was so disappointed as I was looking forward to a special "white" fish dinner - their were none. The Salmon and Smoked Steelhead they had was terribly over priced. We got up and left and did not order
We typically travel to Portland near Christmas every year to spend time with family. We ALWAYS reserve Salty's for Sunday Brunch as the food, and ambience are the best. AND like some prior years, our SERVER WAS TERRIFIC, anticipating our every need before we even know what it would be.
Our server was totally amazing! We had an amazing table and Santa was wonderful! The room was beautifully decorated and can’t say enough about the delicious food! We opted for the champagne brunch and it’s was sooo good.
We love Salty’s and go there often, but this last time the Dungeness crab was a disappointment.
