Salty's on the Columbia
Food was tasty. Pretty and quick. Beautiful day on the Columbia River!!
Beautiful relaxing view. Friendly pro service. Delicious salad, chowder, steelhead, prawn pasta, lemon tart. Great price with Dining Month. Is there anything else?
As always, an excellent place to dine. The view of the river coupled with great food is an unbeatable combination.
Everything was so perfect. Be sure to try the Baked Alaska for dessert -- so worth it!
beautiful view and nice food
We decided to eat "family style" as we had a small group and the chef put together a nice presentation/sharable platter for the table. It was a nice gesture, presentation and made it a funner dining experience.
Service was great. Food was good - some items were served lukewarm vs hot. Place was incredibly loud. We had trouble hearing each other.
Excellent customer service, waitress was great! Nice table and great food
Wonderful place with a terrific atmosphere. Food is always fantastic and the view cannot be beat. Staff is always professional, friendly, and accommodating.
I’ve heard about this place for awhile now and have to say I was very impressed . I will definitely be going back.
Food was great staff was friendly only negative aspect was our server kept us waiting for 10 minutes before she greeted us and then we never really saw her again until the end. Other servers were taking care of us the whole time
Excellent food and service as usual ! Be aware that dungeness crab is still in its shell if you order the grand seafood platter, but it's ready to eat without getting messy fingers if you just get the dungeness crab cocktail separately.
The waiter was so accommodating and the food was delicious. I also appreciated how he spaced the meal just right. The view is amazing! Great place!
It was a beautiful sunny days - we enjoyed the food, the view. Our waiter was outstanding. We had a great time and will highly recommend. My husband wants to make this a regular treat!
Overall a great experience. Everyone enjoyed brunch
Always fabulous. ...a wonderful place to celebrate a special event. A date or just a fabulous tin.
Good food and location, but perhaps not the best value compared to the competition. (e.g., charging extra for bread). Food was tasty but portions were only average and sides were fairly ordinary. (e.g., I had an excellent fillet mignon with simple mashed potatoes and creamed spinach with no special sauce or other additional ingredients to put a twist on the usual. They had fish with more interesting vegetables and rice.) It is a very good restaurant, but maybe over-priced for what you get. Good for groups or special occasions.
Ok food they were out of live lobster, service was ok. Not the restaurant it used to be. With so many choices in Portland for great seafood I probably would not go back.
Fantastic restaurant with delicious food and incredible views. Perfect choice for our anniversary dinner! We will definitely be back!
Service was great and the food was delicious. The waiter was very attentive and was one step ahead of any requests.
We keep coming to Salty's because our experience gets better each time we come for the weekend buffet! The oysters and crab are incredible! All of the food is just delicious! The desserts are to die for! You must ask for Jonathan. He is one of the best waiters we have ever had and it makes the dining experience even more enjoyable! I would highly recommend Salty's for one of the best seafood buffets you will ever have!
Service is always good. Noise is very loud, especially with the river view. Tables could be a little farther apart.
We went for the Saturday brunch. Our server Matt was awesome. There was never a shortage of food, especially fresh dungeoness crab. Food was great and staff was accommodating.
One of the best Restaurants in Portland!
This restaurant is my favourite in Portland. Travelling with business this place is close to the airport. The service always excellent with fantastic local food and wine selection. Highly recommended for seafood but my coworker had the fried chicken and it looked amazing.
Portland dining month food was very small portions
We were in for Portland ding month. Everything was fantastic. The only reason I put the noise level where I did was because I’d a loud talker 2 tables down. We could very clearly hear every word he said. No reflection on the restaurant.
Nice restaurant with many seafood options. Had a shrimp cocktail that was great. Then, the fish and chips. The fish seemed flash frozen and was only average. Service was good. Very attentive and prompt service and food delivery. We always come to Salty’s to enjoy the view and, although rainy, it was still pleasant. Solid job. Reasonably priced.
This is my favorite restaurant. But I took my daughter there the other night and left with a $175 bill and feeling that I really didn't get my money's worth. We split the king crab legs 1/2 pound and we each got 1 leg, cut in half. The waitress looked at me sideways when I said I would order the Baked Alaska pie after she told my daughter she couldn't order it because she wasn't 21 yrs old. I felt compelled to order ice cream for my daughter to "prove" we were on the up and up. I don't know. It felt less than welcoming, which is opposite how I usually feel there, and usually why I go there is to feel valued and wanted by SOMEONE even if it is for my money. I don't think I'll recommend it any more because the prices are getting out of control and the building isn't worth the money. Maybe if it was on a skyscroper with high end decorating it would feel worth that kind of money.
Everything was spot on perfect for our group of seven. We will return.
Food, Ambiance, Location, View, Parking were excellent. Waiter got lost more often than not and tried to rush our meal. Minus service, perfect evening of impressing my guest.
GREAT service, as always!! Food was superb, as always!! Looking forward our next visit!! Do yourself a favor and eat here ASAP!!!
We went to Salty’s because they are participating in Portland Dining Month and we liked the looks of the special menu. The food was excellent, as was the service. We took a look at the regular menu, which is pricey but I think reasonable for the quality and freshness they provide. Beautiful view, is a great location for date night/special occasion. We will definitely return!
The seafood was good and the view of the Columbia river was nice. However, the service was unimpressive and slow . At this price point ( $200+ for dinner for 2) I would have expected superlative food and service. I did not feel that the meal and experience justified the high cost.
25th anniversary. Server said Champagne on Salty’s so that was nice
Great Sunday Brunch. Food was fresh and refilled promptly. Our waitress (Holly) provided great service. Never had to ask for drink refills, butter, hot towels, shell bowls or anything. Plates were cleared off promptly. Waterfront view was very nice. My only wish is that they had more parking.
The shrimp and grits were stand outs for me as well as the shrimp and scallop ceviche.
The salted caramel tart was amazing!
Our serer DJ was on point!!
Absolutely love Salty’s for their famous brunch! Unlimited quality seafood, what else can you ask for? Service was great, food was amazing and the view of the Columbia only added to the great experience.
Impeccable service, this cannot be emphasized enough, and lovely atmosphere with a beautiful view and not too loud (we have hearing impaired family we were fully able to converse with!). Unfortunately the food was not on the same level. Good to very good depending on the dish - my steelhead was overcooked and needed more sauce/flavor for the potatoes while the chowder was very good - but not amazing, especially when considering pricing and all the food options available in Portland. My wine had some grit from the bottom of the bottle, and a second glass was comped to make up for it. So again, impeccable service, lovely staff and atmosphere.
