Salty's on the Columbia Ratings and Reviews
We came for Sunday brunch and it was my husband’s birthday. Jonathan, our server, made me laugh the entire time we were there. He was very attentive to our needs. The price for brunch, $58 a person, was well worth the price. So many choices of food to pick from. The staff kept everything fresh and full. Would definitely return!
We had an absolutely amazing experience for our Anniversary at Salty's! Christian was a wonderful server with top notch customer service skills! She made sure everything was perfect! We appreciated it so much that we already made reservations for our next visit 😊
Saturday brunch was fantastic! All you can eat with traditional breakfast favorites and WAY more! Choices for any taste palette and a seafood lover's heaven. Not only was the food amazing, the service was fantastic as well. Bottomless mimosas were truly bottomless- our server didn't let us get to the bottom of the glass before filling up again! Even when they got busy, our server was fantastic. Truly a great dining experience and no better comparison out there. Also, the reservations made the day go even smoother.
Went for Saturday Brunch. View was terrific. Wait staff was fabulous. We would have enjoyed more salad options but the prime rib was fabulous, the omelettes terrific and of course the seafood was tasty. All in all it was a great time. Much better than Sunday for brunch because it wasn't quite so crowded.
this was my first visit to Salty's and really enjoyed the Sunday brunch. Price for what was on the buffet was outstanding and I got to enjoy multi types of foods so there was something for everyone. Our service was outstanding but never overbearing, our server was never far away and came back to fill our beverages at the right times. Definitely will return in the future.
EXCEPTIONAL!!! A little on the pricey side. Anniversary dinner for two was a $160 tab, but so worth it! From drinks and apps all they way through dinner to dessert exceeded our every expectation, not to mention the incredible service too. Our food was absolutely perfect and the best meal we’ve had out in years.
There is a wonderful waterfront view of the Columbia from this classic seafood restaurant. We celebrated a birthday and I have never seen such good customer service, including cake and champagne. Hats off to Salty's for not just a good meal but also for making it such a festive occasion.
The food was good as always. The waiter seemed as if he didn't want to help us. We didn't get drinks until the middle of our brunch which we ordered when we sat down. He told us not to ask him to steam our crab and that's the only way we eat our crab. The waiters downstairs told me to just ask my waiter to steam my crab and it should be no problem but after that I didn't feel comfortable asking for more crab to be steamed so we ate what we had at the table and then left. This isn't our first time in for brunch and we've never had service like this. I was a bit disappointed and just wondering if he was having a bad day. I still left a tip but thought really hard about not leaving one.
We liked our server and the food was very good for the most part. The partially cook potatoes au gratin without cheese was a detractor. I also thought most of the meals were over priced compared to the competition. Also I would have liked more locally sourced seafood dishes.
It was our 1st time there together on our 4th anniversary together. A bit pricey for us but we enjoyed ourselves very much & in the end, we were very pleased with absolutely everything & thought it very worth it. We enjoyed our hostess. Thought the food was excellent . Service was great. Even answered questions were appreciated. Very friendly. Would like to make it our special occasion place to go .
We were so excited to come here! $30 for 2lbs of crab with soup & salad. Alas, we had to wait upon arrival (even though we made a reservation) once seated it took aver an hour to get our crab, we ordered it steamed. When it arrived the butter was cold & the crab was Luke warm. Ate some of the crab but it was so cold that it didn’t taste good after about 5 minutes. The chowder, salad & wine were great. Service was great, we were checked on way too many times in the beginning and a long wait in the end to pay. Good atmosphere but I’ll go to Zach’s crab shack next time:(
Wow Brian the waiter was like extremely extra and I freaking loved it. I truly felt like he was my friend best service i have ever received like ever best dude ever. Kept my mimosa truly bottomless I was like bruh I'm not even done yet but once I was finally drunk I was like keep em coming homie best service ever. Truly will come back hoping to meet up with Brian again. The homie
I have been Salty's customer for many years (since when it was by the Sellwood bridge/Willamette river.) I have seen a deterioration of the value of the dining experience. You get today less, with just fair quality food, for very high price. However, their brunch is still good--I would recommend it.
We chose Salty's Restaurant for our anniversary dinner. We were early so we decided to have a drink in the bar and no one noticed us. After 5 minutes, another customer noticed and flagged over a server. That was the only down point of the evening. The food was delicious, view amazing and service was good. We have never been disappointed at this restaurant.
The three of us were all unhappy with most of our food choices. Two of us were vocal about it and had our bill adjusted accordingly. The third person just vowed not to go back after getting fish and chips that weren't cooked well. The place itself is very pleasant with a view of the Columbia. Noise level interfered at times as everyone wants to sit by the window.
This might be a place I go to meet a friend for a drink. I'd think twice about having a meal there.
We were visiting from Alaska . Came to see our Grandson's first Ice Skating competition which was held in Eugene. Having the family time at Salty's after a long weekend was just delightful. The view of the Columbia River at sunset was a highlight to a very delicious meal.
