great buffet and fabulous experience. Service was stellar (as always).
Brian is the best!
Excellent offering for the special deal in March... Ample quantity and great selections
Wait was attentive but not intrusive.
Great dining experience
The staff was so friendly and the food was wonderful!!
Brunch on Sat. March 14 was windy and snowing. The ambiance would have been better if the weather was better.
The value would have been better if I had eaten more. Forgot to ask for senior discount.
Service was great. Aaron and the other were always there when we needed anything.
The food was outstanding. I wish I could have eaten more.
very noisy- We had to request seating at a quitter table, which the staff was happy to accomodate
Had a table of six in my party, including 2 eleven year olds. Menu choices fit all our our needs. Our server Ezra was very pleasant and provided excellent service throughout our dining experience.
Celebrated our friend's birthday! Thumbs up on the staff, food and ambiance. The view was amazing and breathtaking! Definitely recommend it for any occasion.
My partner and I both got the filet mignon. His was overcooked and had to be sent back. He asked for medium rare and it came back almost burnt. By the time it came back he had eaten the sides as we had to wait for his steak. So he ate his steak alone. We were comped with clam chowder, but that didn’t really make up for the fact we ordered steak. The sides were bland and didn’t taste like much other than mustard seeds. This cut is usually suppose to melt in your mouth, however they were chewy and lacked seasonings. For the high price this was not worth it. He also got two lobster tails which were also overcooked. For being $30 each that was not a great add on. We didn’t even want to risk getting dessert. The drinks were good thankfully. The service was mediocre, nice lady but very slow and not very attentive when we needed to send our steak back. Gave us a discount, which was nice however would have just wanted better service... as the restaurant was not busy at all. Overall would not go back, especially for the high priced and lack of quality food.
We had one order of the March $33 menu choices, nice salad, filet, prawns, crispy potato and banana cream pie for dessert. It was crabby Monday and the 2lb. Steamed Dungeness crab was delicious, also at $33, no sides. Good meal, good service, fabulous moon rise and river view.
Very nice atmosphere, great food, perfect location. Very festive!
We went here for my birthday, and we got seated at a large table with a great view. We were treated very well, and the food was all very good. There were 9 of us and everyone had a wonderful time. It's definitely a great place to go for a special occasion 😊
Go hungry there is a lot of food to eat ! If you like seafood this is the place to go- especially crab. Yummy
Excellent on all levels***
Everything was exceptional even though they didn’t have the bottomless mimosas anymore. Thank you for replenishing the Dungeness crabs so quickly and also our awesome waitress!
Always wonderful! A family favorite for forty years!!
It was really busy because of restaurant month, so considering that it was good. However we got seated right next to another table of two back by the kitchen and it was awkward. We could have at least been seated a table away since there was an empty one next to us. Just kind of disappointed at where we were seated and it was slow service. The food was good though.
Very busy and loud due to it being Portland Dining Month (PDM.) The food was delicious and the service good, if at times slow because of PDM. Overall, a fun evening.
Excellent, good value for Portland Dining Month menu.
Over the last few years, Salty's has gone down hill rapidly. They are lowering their food standards, lowering attention to detail, cutting corners on the quality of the food (both preparation and the the ingredients). And now they are going down a terrible path of nickle-and-diming - champagne/stuff.
The Men's bathroom downstairs is poorly maintained. The counter was retaining a good layer of water from the mirror to the edge.
The Orange juice totally tasted and smelled like it came straight out of a can. Very tin-like metallic taste and smell and it clearly wasn't any kind of reasonable quality you'd expect.
The Prime Rib was not roasted long enough and it was roasted at the wrong temperature. Almost raw texture and extremely tough.
Each year when my Mom visits from thousands of miles away, we go there. I made the mistake of not telling them it was a special occasion. Apparently that means you sit in an area that was built onto the side of the building. Very cold, very noisy.
Oh, and did I fail to mention that they were blaring rock music through the sound system? Well, they were. What the hell?!? This is so inappropriate for a weekend brunch.
The service was extremely slow and frequently failed to service our table. She walked by several times as our plates piled up on the edge (easy for her or someone to take was they walk by). I asked if this was a crazy busy time that we arrived. She said "No, actually it is very slow." Again, What the hell?!?
After frequenting this place for multiple times a year for the last nine years; I think this finally push me to decide not to return again. Maybe I'll try them again in a few years - but why would they do this.
This area is known for foodies and people that pay extra for high quality foods and flavors. This felt so dumbed down that it was embarrassing. My Mom was so disappointed. This is not cool. I don't have many more times left with my Mom.
Awful. They should be ashamed.
Absolutely 10 out of 10! My girlfriend and I were treated great and had exceptional service along with the tasteful dinner.
Our steaks were over cooked, but the waiter acknowledged the error and took measures to correct the issue.
They were busy and they took, action to correct the issue . Extremely pleased with results.
Took daughter for her bday she loved it her first time. They have exactly where we wanted to sit
Business dinner. Great meal great service. The view of the river is very nice. Lobster and prawn pasta was great!
We ordered the March 3 course dinner for $33 and it was amazing. We'd love to see the tenderloin as served on smashed potatoes appear on your regular menu -- oh my, so good! The chairs need to be upgraded. It's likely to be just chipped paint! This is not a match for the incredible view of the Columbia, outstanding menu and delicious preparation.
We went for the Portland dining month but the food was only so-so. We would not recommend that menu. It felt like the food had been sitting for a long time.
Great food and service!
Hadn’t been to Salty’s in quite some time will most definitely go back.
Excellent food and excellent service in an amazing location right on the Columbia river. We would definitely return.
We've always enjoyed the view and ambiance. Service was excellent and food was very good. Servers seem trained to chat with diners and encorage loyalty to the restaurant without being pushy. It seemed more like very good traning. We'll return.
Booked a reservation for Portland Dining Month and their $33 menu was rather short on selections. We opted to order off the regular menu and ordered the surf and turf entree with filet mignon and lobster. I wanted my filet grilled medium, I got a well done steak. When I showed the waiter the charred steak he had another steak grilled up. It was quite rare. For 2 $75 entrees, 6 drinks and a dessert...the bill including tip was almost $300. The bread wasn’t free and the mashed potatoes were nothing special. The only redeeming factor was the amazing view of the Columbia River. I will only come back during happy hour and when the weather is nicer to enjoy the outdoor patio.
Very limited Portland Dining month choices. But the item that I ordered was very good.
Christian was amazing!!! She was on point in assisting me and my partner. She made my visit today like 100% better!
A bit pricey but that was expected. We had a great time!
I love the view and the food... this spot is great for a date or ladies get together!
153 dollars for lunch for 3 people. Food was bland.
I was looking forward to the brunch buffet, I had hoped for fresh crab, however all of it had been frozen so when I went to eat it, it was water-logged and lacked flavor. Very disappointed for $51 per plate.
We had very good service. Enjoyed the unexpected Mel Brown band playing. Food was very good.
Our food was excellent. The service was great but it took them a while to make our food so it was nice we weren’t in a rush. They did comp our desserts is our order took so long...
Three atmosphere is great, service is exceptional. Food is great just not sure it holds up to the cost
The crab and lobster is great, side dishes not so much.
Birthday dinner and have ordered the filet all 3 times I have gone there since I moved back in November. First two times were great but on this Special occasion they overcooked my filet and it was a bad cut of meat. Disappointed for sure but didn’t want to ruin the occasion for my plus one on my birthday so I dealt with it.
