Waiter Brian was top-notch. Food was yummy but we had way too much and the meal was very expensive for what we could eat. Smaller healthier portions or smaller size options would be nice. Unbeatable view! And thanks for the free shuttle back to our Seattle waterfront hotel.
I love the view of the Seattle skyline from here. Plus, the food is amazing. Our server was hilarious. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Great place for brunch with a view. The buffet offers lots of great options. Come hungry!
Make a reservation!
You will not be sorry!
We made reservations for Sunday brunch~arrived at exact time, however we had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated. Usually, that would be rather annoying, however, Salty's provided a lovely little enclosed area with freshly baked butter and jam scones, tea, coffee and water for the waiting guests. It truly was almost enjoyable and everyone waiting, as well as customers leaving, were very kind, thoughtful and all a very happy and satisfied.
After being seated...........the choices of food, the presentation, and the entire atmosphere was AMAZING.
The buffet was beautifully presented and refreshed so often, it never looked as if you were taking the last of anything.....it was all fully "restocked" and presented as if we were the first ones there. It was really a very well organized, clean buffet with delicious food. The waitstaff was extremely friendly, helpful and very attentive.
Salty's was a 5 star place I would highly recommend and will return the next time we are in Seattle.
Went to Sunday Brunch. The food was so good as was the service
Amazing delicious food! Way too expensive! Beautiful view.
I wish I could give a fabulous review bcz everyone seems so excited about it. I think I expected more seafood options at the brunch bcz of both being a seafood restaurant and the cost. Maybe about 5-7 more seafood options needed. The quality of the food was so so. I can't say there was anything very memorable, and my favorite ended up being smoked salmon and crackers...which you can make at home. A lot of the dishes smothered the seafood in sauce that drowned out the flavor. Service is pretty mediocre. There were 3times when we stopped eating because we were looking for our server...you know, when you really need your beverage refilled before continuing to eat? Or request coffee before you eat dessert? He was often not visible to us. Not sure if serving another area or other chores, he seemed busy...seems like a management issue.
I gave 4 stars only bcz of the view and bcz the buffet was certainly imoressively large. If someone doesn't like seafood, there are other options. But I border on giving a 3 bcz for the price, I have definitely been to tastier seafood buffets.
Great food and experience as usual. Our server was exceptional!
Great brunch! Great service! What can you ask for more. It was our first time in Seattle and we heard about Salty's brunch and decided to give it a try. It was worth every penny! They knew it was our anniversary and put us in the best spot with a great view.
Loved the view but didn't have much time to look at it since I was so busy eating the fresh seafood. Especially, the crabs. Oh my, it was the best I've had.
I highly recommend this place if you are visiting Seattle. You won't regret it.
First time to Salty's which was recommended by several friends. Dinner was excellent (King Crab, Lobster tail), appetizer's (Oysters on the halfshell, Calamari) were just alright. We had a table with a view and enjoyed the ambiance. Waitstaff was attentive and engaging.
Went here for husband's birthday, fantastic overall - crab cake, lobster and risotto, and halibut were all amazing.
Excellent view and service for a business meal. Noise level was moderate, but not too loud to have a productive conversation. Due to the cost, I wouldn't make this a weekly stop, but definitely good for special occasions.
I've only been to Salty's a couple of times because I have to take a ferry to get there - it is plenty worth it. I enjoy the atmosphere but am trying to figure out how early a person needs to arrive in order to get a window seat! I guess when it opens at 4:30 would be a good guess. I had reservations at 6 and wasn't able to get a scenic view. Even so, it is great food and great service.
Salty's at Alki commands a wonderful view of Seattle for out-of-town guests. The food and wine choices were excellent. We found the restaurant to be a bit noisy with conversations and laughter. However, that is a GOOD sign that people are enjoying themselves.
Quite a long wait , a little noisy.
I made my reservation 2 weeks ahead for a window seat but I didn’t get it , kind of disappointed!
The acknowledgement of my friend's birthday was outstanding - the signed card, the balloons and the dessert with the candle. She was thrilled. Our waitress was exceptionally good. The view is perfect, even on a cloudy day.
The only negative thing was that the crab sandwich was disappointing.
We had a family dinner during Seattle restaurant week and it was lots of fun. The view was great. The staff was upbeat and professional. The options were varied so everyone had something they liked.
Great atmosphere as it is on the water looking across the lake looking towards the Seattle waterfront. Great view at night when all the city lights are on. Great tasting food. Price is on the spendy side. We went as an anniversary event. Two hits that made it a not-quite-perfect event: 1). Kids were allowed in and they were screaming... (PEOPLE - do NOT take your little kids here because it disturbs the atmosphere) and 2) The Cesar salad was uncut romaine lettuce leafs... trying to cut those made a mess or if you tried to shove a whole leaf in your mouth, it just looked awkward....so advice to the chef: Please cut or shred the romaine like normal. Otherwise..we had a great time.
Been several times, and this is such a nice place to go for a leisurely Sunday brunch with a knockout view.
They had a very wide variety of food for the Sunday Brunch. However, the food was only mediocre. It really isn't up to the price they charge. The variety is the only saving grace. So, if you want to try a lot of different choices and don't mind paying too much for only decent food, give them a try.
Great food, excellent customer service and overall a really great date!
Always a great place for a comfortable and excellent meal, with outstanding service
Very nice friendly staff upon arrival. Was seated in a horseshoe shape table, 6 grown men, and the waiter came looked at us and promptly moved us to a larger table. Service was amazing could not have asked for a better waiter, food was good, not great as I had expected and would have expected for the price. I would go back but only on a very special occasion.
First visit to Salty’s and the view was spectacular! Food and service was very good. My friend’s fish came out under cooked but they were able to re-fire it. Only bummer is she ate a little bit after the rest of the group. A bit pricey for everyday dining but I’d go again.
We were there for Saturday brunch with my wife and two kids. The service was great and good ambiance overall. But the food was an average to below average for the price. Would not recommend for family brunch. I would rather spend $200 for better steak or sushi restaurant.
We visited Salty’s and Received outstanding service all around! Everyone was very kind and attentive, while still giving us time to enjoy the phenomenal views that surrounded us! Overall a must when visiting Seattle!
At Salty's you're really paying for atmosphere. The food is good but not spectacular. It's a great place for taking out of town visitors but it's not a great value so I wouldn't go there on a regular basis
Wonderful service and good food! Would definitely recommend!
The ambiance lovely; the view amazing; the device excellent, personable, and thoughtful; the food delicious. Plus the very ellegant seagull that kept vigil outside the window was very entertaining! A WIN in every category.
Seattle restaurant week menu, excellent prepared steelhead and wolffish, poke was a delight. Mussels and clams in spicy broth was delicious. Excellent view of downtown. Have eaten here for Happy Hour with the bar menu also being delicious and a value for quality of meal.
This was a get together of long-time girlfriends. We feel we had the best table in the house with an unobstructed view of the sound and a glorious view of the city. The food was very good and pleasing to the eye. I would highly recommend Salty's.
This restaurant was suggested to us for a business meal. It has amazing views of the sound and Seattle. The food & service were very good. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others.
We have mixed emotions about Salty's. The part that we like the most is the spectacular view of Seattle's skyline. The service is amazing. Every staff member is friendly, polite, and attentive. What we didn't like is that we were not very impressed with the food. One of our orders is the prawn special. There were three pieces of prawns on top of the polenta. THREE pieces for that kind of price! The other items that we ordered were crab melt, calamari, poke bowl, fish & chips, and chowder. The presentation is enticing. The quality is average. We were expecting superior taste from this kind of restaurant. We'll try it again with our out of town visitors to impress them with the view, and hopefully, our high expectations with their menu will be rewarded.
Our server Brian was outstanding, the meals were fantastic, the only flaw is they seated us with a post blocking part of our view with many tables unfilled during the evening. Small bit important detail, Salty’s you need to do better here.
Always a great place to relax with friends. Went for the Sunday Brunch. Unfortunately, some of the food was fairly picked over or dry. But our server, Joseph, was fantastic!
Quite a bit of the food was lukewarm. We had to ask for plates to be removed from our table. I was also disappointed that we had to pay for iced tea. It was a once of a lifetime for my family for those prices
Usually the visits are very nice. I came 2 weekends in a row for brunch. Once in a Saturday and once in a Sunday. There’s no difference in the food selection but the prices are higher on Sunday. Also... the “warm” crab was not warm even though it had a heated warmer under it.
Not a gross buffet experience
Good quality seafood, fresh
Halibut and crab legs were amazing
Staff was courteous and quick
Recommend earlier arrival when it is more chill if coming for brunch
Great food and great selection. Service was quite good. Noise level was a bit too loud though. Also lots of ragged looking and uncouth people. A dress code might help.
Food was amazing (halibut and scallops with prawns), baked Alaska for dessert), excellent service
