Salty's on Alki Beach Ratings and Reviews
Everything was prepared well and it was very tasty. You just cannot be in a hurry when you dine at Salty's. The views from the main dining area are very nice so you want to stay longer and enjoy. My problem is that when I dine at Salty's I am always in a rush. :(
The food was amazing! The service was spectacular! The views... Absolutely breathtaking! Next time we're in town, Salty's is the first place we're stopping at!
Our server, Mara, was fantastic. She met every need we had, offered suggestions, and made sure we were comfortable. She rocks
As a West Seattleite I hadn't been to Salty's for dinner in years. I was pleasantly surprised by improved food and service, considerably better than I remembered. Will definitely be considering Salty's for future date nights and recommendation for our AirBnB guests.
Friend from out of town ... given a wonderful window seat with prime viewing of Seattle's waterfront. Service was good. The "Trio Seafood" appetizer was very tasty. My friend's scallops were very good, but my halibut was very dry compared to my grilled fresh halibut that I prepare at home.
One BIG nit: Pre-dinner bread will cost you $5! This shouldn't be, especially for what you pay for dinner.
Overall, still a nice evening, as you can't beat the view from a window seat. FYI
Service was horrible. We waited seven minutes after seating before we were acknowledged. The waiter Armin was not attentive and did not perform timely check backs. We had to flag him down for everything which was an effort each time. Food order was incorrect. Crab was not included On the chowder as requested and we finished the soup long before he was even available to check on us. We noticed every table in his section was straining to get his attention. Even though other staff seemed to help assist him we still had terrible service. He charged me for a bottle of wine we never ordered and miss-charged on the drinks. When confronted about this he had an arrogant attitude and acted put off by the request to fix. The only think our waiter was prompt with was to deliver the check when I asked for it!
I mentioned to the manager on my way out we had issues and she gave me her card and asked I follow up. I emailed her the next day but sadly she never responded. I have never been so disappointed with Salty’s and my clients asked me to never take them back there again.
Salty's never disappoints. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the food. The crab mac and cheese is a favorite of mine. My husband ordered the prime rib sliders and said some of the meat was a little tough, but the flavor was good. Good chowder. Best view in the city.
I was very disappointed this time. We were seated with only one person able to see views.. .if 3 minutes later waut they could have offered a view booth by the window. The halibut did not taste fresh and dry and overcooked and seasoning as if off the shelf lemon pepper seasoning. No wine sauce herb or fresh garlic or other flavorings, tasteless mashed potatoes, dry asparagus, wilted mixed greens as if directly out of the bag, mediocre chowder, and Apple pie dessert seed cold. Only thing good was the scoop of ice cream on the side. Music was lousy pop music at first. All for over 90 dollars with tip. Was a special occasion also. Very disappointed.
Overall, I left satisfied. I expected more class and culinary excellence for the price that I was charged, for two, at Sunday brunch. A lot of the pastries and sweets seemed cheap and were similar to what I would find at a continental breakfast. I love Saltys view and customer service.
Our meal was great and the brunch was a great value, however, our service was awful. We paid a great deal of money to have Sunday brunch and our waiter was barely around. We ordered drinks and waited 20+ minutes for them plus we waited 20+ for the check. Had to ask the busboy to grab our waiter numerous times. The value of the buffet was great but the amount we paid was atrocious per the service we received.
I put my daughter here for her birthday dinner. We were staying at the Hyatt and were able to take advantage of the shuttle. Our driver was fantastic and we felt safe and comfortable on such a cold night. Upon arrival, we were seated close to the window and were able to enjoy the view of Seattle while dining on delicious Seafood. I've been here before, but it was her first time dining at the resteraunt. Our waitress was friendly and helpful, and made sure to take our photo with the city lights in the background. The food was delicious and portions were outstanding. Her birthday cake was impossible to not finish even though we had more than enough to eat. We will be back. Thank you for a very memorable experience.
This was hands down the best dining experience I’ve had in over 20 years. First discovered Salty’s a couple years ago when traveling to Seattle. This time it was a special occasion with my best woman the night before a Garth Brooks concert. I had a 7 oz. filet with crab meat, garlic mashed and some other sauce that was just too good to describe. My plate was CLEAN! Excellent service and wonderful ambiance. The best, couldn’t get any better.
birthday dinner was great. Only they forgot it was a birthday dinner. 5 out of 6 meals were 10's. the 6 was just a little less than i normally get from SALTY's. 5 had Crabby Monday's special.
We plan to go the Redondo SALTY's the 13th of November again for the held over Crabby Monday dinners
