We had a wonderful visit, thanks especially to Karina!
Persistent on checking in if you're ready to order. But waiter (after checking in twice) gave us the space to read through the menu and make a delicious decision. Thanks!
Delicious food! Was pricey but that is to be expected for great seafood on the beach.
The outstanding service was a wonderful addition to the amazing food and ambiance! Definitely a place to revisit!
Food is always great. But do Brunch at Alki Beach
The service was very friendly and attentive. Drinks, bread, starters and food all arrived promptly, and were served with a smile. The setting is pure Pacific Northwest, on the water with wonderful views. The restaurant itself looks and feels tired, and the view can only make up for so much. The menue was very limited which by itself was disappointing, but the flavor and overall presentation was also very disappointing. We had not been here in some time, the last time was for Sunday brunch which was quite good, but the restaurant looked tired even then. I doubt we will return.
The Saltys Sunday brunch is one of our classic go to when we went to impress out of town visitors with great food and great viewS!
The Sunday brunch is a great deal as long as it's not a holiday (price escalates greatly for Mom's day, etc.). I might pass on the mixed drinks. My two Bellini's were pretty weak, and cost almost as much as the brunch alone. I like the Redondo Beach location a lot. Alki location gets very noisy during happy hour when they have live music. It's impossible to have a conversation. The food at Redondo is the same as Alki (which is in my neighborhood), but the Redondo location is worth the longer drive. It's smaller and cozier, and the building and vibe remind me of the classic Supper Clubs back in the midwest. Staff is always great. After your meal, enjoy a walk on the beach!
Already completed a review document at Salty's but I'll add that the combination of excellent 1st class service and cuisine to die for...it's an unbeatable place for fine dining in a casual, coastal, cozy environment.
We always look forward to driving the 30 miles (or so) to get there, and celebrate our special days.
Always high quality food and service. Beautiful view and great for a special occasion.
We love Salty’s and have been going for years. Now that we have three kids, we go for birthdays, Anniversaries, and other special events for brunch. The kids love that they can pick what they want to eat. The atmosphere is always friendly and so is the staff. They have a wonderful selection of delicious food for all seafood tastes!
i was perfect. our waiter was very helpful, patient and knowledgeable about foods and drinks. make it so helpful for us. it was so good we went back the following day for brunch which was so amazing.
Our food was fantastic, and while our server was polite and courteous, she was terribly slow at all stages of our dinner. We sat ungreeted for 20 minutes, drinks/apps took forever, dinner came relatively quickly, but follow up was scarce. I hope it was a one time event as we have always had stellar service here and perhaps she was having a very off night.
My family I went there to celebrate my brothers birthday and we had a very nice cozy dinner. Our server Erin was very attentive as well her trainee. We really love Salty’s!
Our dinner at Salty's was fantastic! The food and service were top-notch, and the view of the sunset on the Sound was stunning.
The Sunday brunch was amazing. The food choices were really great. I loved the seafood bar which had crab legs, peel and eat shrimp, ceviche, salmon and lox and bagels. There was absolutely something for everyone.
Our waiter Josh was very helpful in guiding us through our meal. He couldn’t have been more friendly. He continuously checked on our progress and made sure we had everything we needed.
Food was excellent as always but the server was not great at all. She didn’t know we’ve been seating there for at least 10 mins. The pasta I ordered was already cold so it came out not appealing and not the way I want. I told her to put some red pepper flakes but put roasted pepper instead. Had to ask for refill for our coffee too. I get that she is pregnant but we still deserve an excellent customer service because we are paying customers. It was my mom’s bday and so it was special for me. We kept seeing other people get served left and right but not our table. Bad customer service.
We were not impressed, starting with out check-in experience. The greeter was not friendly and there was some sort of issue going on where a bunch of staff were huddling and whispering at the front desk. Our reservation was up so we were called, only to receive no direction and many minutes of standing there in the way of everyone until I brought to their attention. The bloody Mary are advertised as having shrimp skewers, so we ordered - only to find out they were "out" of shrimp skewers - felt ripped off. Also, the guest restroom is situated right by the food!
Wonderful meal along with excellent service. We look forward to our next visit!
Fantastic Server - Mariia
Great Drink - Mai Tai
Excellent Food (brunch) - Except the Lox wasn't brought out until we were leaving
My first time to this Salty's after many visits to the Alki location. I was pleasantly surprised and totally like this location which is closer to my home in Tumwater. Will be back again and look forward to sharing this with family and friends. While the Alki location is wonderful, the Redondo location affords a much more relaxed atmosphere and easier commute that going to West Seattle and fighting traffic.
I took my wife for brunch. The regular breakfast buffet food was cold. There was about 12 platters that were cold I would say. The omelets and crape's were warm as they were made to order. The seafood selection and desserts were also very good. The waterfront view and the service was spectacular. Not sure I would do brunch again because of the cold food. Overall had a nice time with my wife.
My scallops were underdone and prawns tasteless , music started around 7 pm and too loud we were unable to talk to each other , for the high prices the food was disappointing , service very good but felt we were rushed to leave
Love love love this Salty’s location. We go several times a year and it has been exceptional every time. Heading back tonight for Alaskan King crab. Yummy!!!
Always amazing! Excellent service and food! Wonderful atmosphere!
My husband ordered scallops and they were undercooked. The server took them back to the kitchen to recook. I ordered the prime rib sliders, they were very good, but the au jus sauce was cold, as if they just took it out of the refrigerator. My brother ordered the crab and shrimp louie, he said it was very good. View and atmosphere is lovely. Our server did a great job, she was attentive and nice. All the employees we interfaced with were very friendly.
For starters, the alcoholic drinks were so weak, you would have thought they were virgin drinks. The Caesar salad was very small for the cost and didn't taste that great. The clam chowder was very good except it was luke warm. I had the halibut which was a surprise how it lacked flavor. It came with mashed potatoes and three spears of asparagus. The mashed potatoes were very dry and almost tasted like instant. We had two $50 gift cards and the waitress came back to tell us one of the cards had a zero balance. We had our receipt for the cards but she didn't even look at it, just simply walked away. We had to try and see if we could run the balance through the number on the back of the card which was ridiculous since that ran you in circles. We finally sat there long enough to catch the attention of the waitress who finally brought over the manager. He went back to run the card and it was fine. Apparently the waitress couldn't read the number and kept typing it in wrong. Overall a very bad experience and the cost of the food was extremely high for the quality. The table we sat at was along the windows which could see the water but the scenery wasn't great. Very disappointed and we will probably never go back.
Great atmosphere, good food, friendly service.
Always fun eating at Salty’s in Redondo!
Great view and good brunch. It would be nice if there was a cheaper option for non-seafood eaters.
There sere musicians playing near the bathrooms. Fortunately we were far enough away that it did not drown out conversations. Service was a bit slow. Our waitress brought us cups of clam chowder on the house since appetizers and food took longer than what one would expect. Other than the slowness, service was good and food great.
Went with some of my college football officials as we feel the Portland location is outstanding. This location is not up to being a special restaurant. The food was good but not great with little taste (other than the seafood chowder that was heavenly.). The salmon was dry and did not seem to be seasoned. Sides were good and it was well presented. Scallops and Prawn dish was the same. Oysters were good but coconut shrimp were dry and without flavor or sauce. Service was good but not great. A old location that needs an update both in the kitchen and furniture. Never saw the manager were in Portland they are very active.
It was our 55th wedding anniversary and we were guests of my sister and brother-in-law
Extremely Over Priced, Had better Comparable dishes with more size wise for much Less Money
but the service and view were excellent
Good as always except that the fries were too salty to eat. That’s not usual for Salty’s. Steak was perfect. Crab melt not my favorite. Too hard to eat. Cutting sourdough bread crusts with a knife at the table was difficult. Sandwich would have been better than the open face serving. Flavor was okay. We will go again but skip the crab melt.
Great RESTURANT, Great views I highly recommend this RESTURANT food is good, views are great.
Salty's at Redondo is our go-to place for business dinners. Great food, great people and a fun place to entertain.
This was a wonderful place to celebrate our anniversary. The service, food, and view were amazing! We started our evening with a cocktail. I had the Huckleberry Lemondrop and he the MaiTai. Both were yummy! My husband chose the halibut dinner and I chose the crab stuffed salmon. Both were cooked perfectly, seasoned expertly and were melt in your mouth delicious. I appreciated the special touch of balloons at our table and a piece of cake to share at the end of our meal. The service was excellent and the view was spectacular! We will definitely be dining here again.
Our server was amazing. Please let her know how much we appreciated her wonderful service. She would be the reason we return.
Great food. Came for the ambiance since I booked a table around sunset time. Great all around view no matter where in the restaurant. Service was great
