This is my 30th anniversary dinner. We were there for 30 minutes the waitress kept breaking the cork. 15 minutes after the 1st one broke (the wine had turned) I had to hunt down our waitress, who was standing at the front hostess station. She finally brought the bottle and broke that one too, but tried to hide it.
The manager finally got involved and brought another waitress who somewhat redeemed the night.
After all the stress they didn't comp the bottle. But they did buy desert.
We won't be back and we will be telling all of our friends about this night. It was supposed to be special and started awful.
You pay for the view. Food is over priced and not very good. So loud we could hardly hear each other across the table. We only went because we had a gift card. We used to go there for all our special occasions but quit going there when the quality of the food and service went down. We don't plan on going back.
We use Salty's for special occasions. In this case, our anniversary. We love their brunches.
This is a favorite if ours for brunch. We have brought at least 3 different couples with us in different visits. Love the superb service.
Do not wait in the bar, no one will come to move you to dining. Slow service. 2 managers a bit rude. Happy hour appetizers reasonable. Dinner expensive for being bar atmosphere.
Had to request a change in tables. They had numerous empty tables but chose to seat us at a pivotal place where you get brushed each time someone passed. That was fine but then it seemed the waiter from that section was required to wait on us in which I guess his section seemed to end 3 tables down. Not sure why the waitperson in that section did not simply wait on us. Had to wait 20 minutes to get the crepe. Staff were nice but seemed to have to flag them down if you wanted to order something from the brunch menu.
We visit here frequently because it's always good, this time it missed the mark completely. The service was friendly, but slow and spotty. My wife's cod was dramatically undercooked and all that they took off our bill was $5. The only saving grace was the view and the crab cake (one for $16). Not going back for a while.
Amazing service every time! Food always cooked to perfection.
Great food, great service and beautiful views!
Great food, great service , awesome view. Made reservations on line open table, table was ready when we arrived.
The food is absolutely mouth watering. Even better was the server, Grace. Made our dining experience even more pleasurable.
Celebrating milestone longevity with employee and peers. Nice lunch. Didn’t see too many other customers so could’ve kept drinks fresh a bit more often.
The food is always good and the view is fantastic. We will continue to come here, but hope the service is better on the next visit.
This is where we go to spoil ourselves. We like to go for the early happy hour.
Great service, food was good but, the wine and beer menu was boring - almost an afterthought. It's hard to beat the location and views. Salty's is worth it for that aspect alone. Carpets, tables and seating need immediate upgrading. Give the interior a face lift, improve the wine list and this is a premiere destination.
It was a nice evening. Just REALLY expensive. Really too expensive. My son asked for a water refill. Waiter said sure. Never came back to do so. He ended up drinking my water. With a $200 plus bill for 3 people, shouldn’t have happened!!
Great overall experience. will be back for sure.the staff is really friendly. Our waiter Phillip is awesome.
Excellent food with courteous staff and great atmosphere. I've never had a bad experience here!
Ordered 2 seafood fettuccini, was good and ample portions. Steamed clams way smaller than I prefer. Cheese bread was too oily. King crab was quite salty, had to request utensils, eg. shell crackers/small fork, lemon wedges. Chocolate cheesecake & white mousse cake were so-so. Very nice view.
Excellent atmosphere and view. Used to dine there regularly but moved out of the area so first time back. I was not disappointed. Very well prepared Salmon and the famous to me white cake. I will be back.
Sunday brunch for a belated Valentine's Day celebration. Given a poor view seat in the upper level. That part was disappointing. Also disappointing was the lukewarm temperatures of the buffet food. Wished I would've skipped that part.
The seafood was the highlight of the brunch buffet. The crab, shrimp and oysters were great. The cook to order omelets and crepes were a nice touch too. Had little room for dessert, but the chocolate fountain was pretty good too.
Overall, a solid 4 star experience.
Had a great brunch.. Our server Taylor was awesome!!!! We will be back again!
Food portions are very small. It was a birthday, but they didn’t give balloons or acknowledge us. They had balloons for other people. Most of us finished our food in less than 45 minutes.
Salty's has gone downhill. It looks beat-up. Went for brunch and the food was fine and of course being on the water is fantastic. However, the carpet is torn, loose and patched, the chaffing dishes look like they've been dragged across the rocks on the beach - not appetizing. Everything looks worn out. Tables are jammed so close together you can't move. In fact the chairs feel like they are stuck to the carpet. Time for an investment in at least a good scrub down and possibly a remodel.
Great place to eat, the food was amazing and the views on the water were incredible. Staff was attentive and very friendly.
Our waiter, Tristan gave fabulous recommendations. From the amazing huckleberry drink to adding crab to the clam chowder. We had the brisket burger, lobster and fresh veggies. Everything was spot on. The ambiance is so cozy and the service was fantastic. Can’t wait to go back!
Erin our waitress was amazing and so helpful. She made our dining experience so much better!! She was personable, friendly, made excellent recommendations for wine and food choices including dessert! Next time I go I Will request her!
Was seated at an uncomfortable seat that was an outdoor table crammed inside for Valentine’s Day. They ran out of NY Steak by 7pm, the lobster tail and parmesan crusted cod were just mediocre. The famous chowder was like warm. Servers were nice but lacked attention to detail. $150 on a dinner for two should be a much better experience.
Loved our table, asked for something by window. Our ra ble was more than I expected! Triston, our server, was excellent.
Good exceptional...highly recommend for special occasions or after a hard day work/week. Will not be disappointed.
Excellent food, wine, friendly service. Will definitely return. Worth the time, funds and effort. With noteworthy seafood and healthy options, Salty's is a must experience for out-of-town guests.
Get a table where Grace is your server! She was awesome.
My wife and I have enjoyed Saltys at Redondo for many years. Brunch is our favorite. We come to brunch with friends occassionaly. I especially like the view and ambiance. I have to say I am not that impressed with the menu and the food I had recently. Not much of a selection and too expensive for us. No wonder we dont get to dine out often. Although my selection was not bad food, it certainly wasnt a very good value for a regular couple just trying to enjoy an evening out. Obviously, that fact limits our dining options and opportunities. We will probably be back, just dont know when. I will check the menu on line to see if it has improved before I make reservations next time.
Three out of four of us thought the food was great. I had the seafood fettuccine and found the sauce to be lacking in taste. We had a great table by the window and our waiter Tracy was provided outstanding service. The steel head was excellent as well as was the fish and chips .
Very bad and expensive food
drink was disappointing-food was meh - service was pretty bad
All staff were incredibly helpful and very responsive! Enjoyed the beautiful view and incredible brunch buffet!
My wife and I had a chance to escape to enjoy each others company. We left the phones off and were seated with a lovely view of the sound. My wife commented on the seal that was cruising the tide and the sunset was spectacular. The seafood chowder is fantastic, make sure you get a bowl. The free parking offered by Saltys is packed. Fear not since there is public parking across the street for 3.50 you get 3 hours worth. I have a nice truck and the 3.50 was well worth it. I had no cars near me in a well lit lot. It is only another 50 feet of walking.
Very tasty food. I usually scarf up that Seafood Chowder, especially when they have the Seafood Bar open on the boardwalk during the summer. On our recent visit, we celebrated our 42nd anniversary. The host and table waiter wished us a happy anniversary as soon as we arrived.
My wife had the NY strip, and I had the Surf and Turf. Both steaks perfectly done.
It is a favorite of ours to visit at least twice a year. Great food, service.
Went to For my birthday and they had a ballon waiting for me at my table. Made it special. The food was fantastic as well as the service.
