Salty's at Redondo Beach
Great view and value! Worth going to especially on special occasions.
Like much better than Alki Beach location. Extremely friendly staff. Wonderful views.
Salty’s is always a good choice, wether for everyday or special occasion. It’s long been one of our favorites.
The food was good and came promptly. The fried calamari was not very good though, it was just a bunch of scrap pieces and a bunch of oil left at bottom of the serving bowl. The rest of the dinner was very good and prepared perfectly. And our server was very good.
A beautiful & delicious dinner with my husband after his long business trip.
Classic American steak and seafood restaurant in elegant beachfront digs. Don't expect inventive dishes our haute cuisine, but the classics done well.
Celebrating a birthday
Seated in the lounge, since we were early for our reservations... grabbed a great window seat and never left. Service was superb -Drinks and chowder were exceptional. Great dinner, with crab, scallops and shrimp. and a fantastice dessert.
Frankly, the food was good. But not great. Especially for the price. But what was most disturbing was the clear sense of wanting to turn the table and get maximum money from our table. The fact that we didn't order drinks was not graciously received. I know there is huge profit in this. And the fact that one in our party, a visitor from San Francisco, ended up at the Alkai location and we chose to wait for her. This didn't seem to go over well. There was implied pressure to order appetizers while we waited. I hate to admit it, but we did succumb to this when it was really not our intention. Over all, the wait staff was pleasant although it took a while for her to warm up. So no, I don't plan to come back any time soon. And would not recommend this experience to others.
Patrick was an excellent server!!!!!
Amazing service! Food was absolutely perfect. Ordered seafood fettuccini and it was more seafood than noodles, and that’s how it should be!
Awesome views... delicious seafood.. Julissa our server was wonderful... desserts delish too.
Our server Michael at Redondo Salty's was very helpful and accommodating
Had a great table.
Celebrating our anniversary with friends.
Best restaurant,we go there all the time! View and location impeccable!! On the water so gorgeous! Service top notch and the freshest unique menu!! Also best white raspberry cake!!!
Anniversary dinner. Service was excellent.
The food was terrible and I wouldn’t go back for the price.
So much of the food was really dry and we were there at noon. This was my first time for the buffet. I wont do it again though
We took our friends to Salty's from Delaware. They enjoyed the different seafood from their east coast. We were all in a food coma for hours! 😁
Salty's has become our place to celebrate birthdays, anniversary's or any special occasion. The food is
always good and the service excellent. I look forward to dining there again!
Just had our 5 year anniversary dinner here. We started with cups of chowder(bland and lukewarm). I ordered 7oz filet with lobster tail and my wife had king salmon Oscar style. Both came with asparagus which was burnt. My steak was cooked a nice medium rare. The issue with my dinner was with burnt asparagus, Demi glaze and fire cooked lobster tail every bite was bitter. Wife's hollandaise was broken/ chunky. $270 of disappointment. Haven't been here a few years, think we'll hit alki if we want to try Salty's again.
The ambiance and service was great but the fried coconut shrimp, calamari and fries were overcooked, greasy and a dark brown...I'm guessing the fryer oil hadn't been changed in several days.
Prices are outrageous for the small portions and quality of the food!
Disappointed tonight. Last week I had the grilled King Salmon and it was cooked to perfection. This week I came back and brought friends from Portland and all of our fish dishes were over cooked. Boo hoo. At least the waiter offered us a free piece of cake.
Was very disappointed to order a very expensive entree Lobster tail $62.00...and did not come with any sides... that is very poor business when you have to order everything separate and sides were not cheap, for 2 of us to eat it was $200.00 and it was a special occasion, so turned out to be very disappointing will not return 😢
Music on outside deck a little loud
Crab cocktail had shells in it and it cut my daughter’s gum. Clams were over cooked and dried out and way to much salt. The 6 oysters were not cut completely so we couldn’t just slurp. The most disturbing thing was the oysters were sitting on salt not ice I ate one spit it out because it literally was room temperature. Gross. My blackened halibut was a total waste it was so over cooked and dry as a bone poor halibut:(. I could go on because our table of 6 all had issues but I won’t I think I painted a good picture.
Service was a bit slow. Server was pleasant but not 100% knowledgeable of what some items were available or what garnishes were included in some of the dishes.
Beautiful lunch on the deck w/ friends. Brad, our waiter, was great. Food was delicious-we'll be back!
Way overpriced. Food was good.
The server we had Sunday evening was freakin horrible. We joked that he should be working at a used tire shop and not as a server, much less at a place like Salty's.
The only reason that I did not give service and food 5 stars is because it took way too long to get waited on and served. The restaurant was very busy that evening so we knew it would take longer than normal but it was beyond that. One of the meals was barely warm, so it had been sitting for a bit. Our server was very polite and nice and I don't blame him, I feel there should have been more help with the service for dinner.
Beautiful and rustic setting and always good food. We live out of the state but have been there several times and find it is always a special treat to eat there. We will be back again.
Another anniversary, another trip to Salty's. Great food good service and a lively atmosphere equal another awesome experience.
Beautiful view, delicious food, great service. So much better than other brunch buffets.
Enjoyed the brunch buffet for our anniversary and came away very impressed (and very full!). So many delicious options, but some of our favorites were the crab, lox, crepes, chowder, and panna cotta. The service was also excellent; our server was friendly and welcoming and we always had what we needed before we knew we needed it. We will definitely be back.
I don’t usually leave bad reviews for a restaurant but my experience at Salty’s was very disappointing, especially given the cost. They seated more people than the kitchen could handle so everything was backed up. The waitress was pretty curt with us and really encouraged us to order all of our food at once, even though we wanted to spread things out because we were sitting outside. We took her advice then everything just got cold before we were able to eat it all. The salmon belly salad did not have salmon belly. Instead, the salmon was really dry and tough.
Good food but maybe not quite worth $130 for two people. And don’t order the Oscar style. They just give a few tiny pieces of crab. Not worth the extra $12. The seafood fettuccine was delicious. I think they could at least give some free bread for every table. All in all good food but you might want to shop around to spend your $130 anniversary money.
We met friends for lunch. Everything was great but we were there 2.5 hours. Service was very slow.
We had a wonderful evening. Our wait person Blake was excellent
Wish I could give the food 10 stars. Salty's is a bit pricey, so save it for special occasions, but it's well worth the cost. The service and food were excellent, and we got a table right on the water with spectacular views of Puget Sound.
Arrived on time for reservation, table was ready so seated immediately. Knowledgeable, enthusiast waiter, excellent food & service.
