Saltyard Restaurant and Bar
Newest addition to Burlingame dining scene!
Our reservation was at 7:45, and we were not seated until 8:15! Although the food was delicious, it wasn’t super hot (I got the feeling it might have been sitting around awhile before it was served). I will try it again hoping it was just an off night and they overbooked.
Food was great and staff are friendly and attentive.
A great experience, from the appetizers to the dessert, we had an excellent evening.
I chose Salt Yard to celebrate my 81st birthday with my immediate family and was not disappointed. It was so busy last Sunday night that the chef provided complementary appetizers for being patient. The salads were wonderful as will as the entree's We met a wonderful young couple sitting next to us who also happens to live in Millbrae. The atmosphere is beautiful and the wait staff are extremely friendly and ready to please. We will be back.
Very nice staff and attentive as heck. the food was good and tasty particularly the pasta dishes.
Good food and service. Our table was very close to the kitchen, perhaps too close as waitress constantly trying to navigate in and out with occasional bumping into our table.
Saltyard is a great addition to the Burlingame scene. It's in the former location of Ecco, a high-end, white tablecloth restaurant that had been there many years. Saltyard is more casual but still a great place for lunch with friends or business colleagues. The food was excellent. I had a Salmon Sandwich with Fries & Caesar Salad. I will definitely return...
I really wanted to like this place because the staff were wonderful. The crab cakes were mushy and tasted like anything could’ve been inside them. Would be better if lump meat were used and pan seared instead of fried. Beet salad had about 4 thin slices of beets and was mostly arugula salad instead of the reverse. But the dressing was delicious.
Foods are very delicious. Will go back and try their other dishes.
It was very good
The wait staff was friendly and attentive. Restaurant wasn’t crowded for lunch so noise level was low. Nice ambiance and vibe to the place. Menu large with a focus on seafood. We ordered appetizers to share. All were tasty but none were truly memorable.
The staff were nice. The food was good and restaurant was clean.
Was here for lunch. I had a lamb sandwich with goat cheese with side of fries. It was phenomenal. Great service and I loved the ambiance!
Very prompt and attentive service. Ambiance was lovely. It is a little loud but my husband and I are loud people so that did not bother us. Food was EXCELLENT! We will def come back to this place anytime we are in the area
There is no air conditioning so restaurant is really hot inside
Good for a quiet business lunch. Not too crowded, no noise, good food, good service. Bring coins to fill your meter for street parking during lunch hours.
New restaurant needs to fix a few kinks...……...overall very good
One of our steaks came out cold and my salmon dish was too oily, I kept choking on it. But overall has potential to be a great place.
It was a perfect place and food for a lunch time meeting with colleagues! Yummy food, plenty of portions and wait staff attentive!
The place was really busy and loud but as expected for a Saturday night. I had a quinoa salad with salmon and it was absolutely amazing and very filling.
Enjoyed this for a girls dinner to catch up with a friend. The service was outstanding- very attentive. Excellent cocktails. The short ribs weren't quite as tender as I expected but overall a very nice meal.
I took my sister and a friend who were visiting. My sister has some food restrictions and they were very good about modifying her order. Everything was tasty! Service was great!
Saltyard was suggested by a friend of mine. I'm super happy that he did it! We made our reservation's for 6 a clock. By the time we arrived, restaurant was packed. I was surprised how busy it was on a Wednesday 🌃. We had some truffle mushroom bruschetta and calamari as an appetizer, they were both very delicious. For dinner we shared sea bass and skirt steak with a bottle of nice Pinot noir. Overall it was a pleasant experience. We'll be visiting soon.
Had a Branzino sea bass was very good. I have tried their special cocktails of the day Passion Me!! Delicious!
The food was simply bland, uninspiring, and of inferior quality compared to business class airline food. It's sad to go to a restaurant that can't compete with an airline. Good wine list bad food.
I have enjoyed with my meal. Fabolous service! I had a quick chat with their manager and he said that they're going to be improving the menu by next week. I really want them to be very successful because they are very friendly and nice people!!
Best paella I’ve ever had!
This was our first time here, and my husband and i truly enjoyed our lunch there. The food was tasty,, service wonderful, and ambiance great! We celebrated our wedding anniversary and the staff gave us a celebratory dessert which was a nice touch. Definitely recommend Saltyard.
I felt a little rushed through my meal, courses came a bit to close to one another. However food was Devine!
Very good service and unique delicious preparations.
Solid place! I ordered salmon 🥗 it was delicious.
Very good dinner
Food and service was wonderful. We closed the place down but the servers never tried to rush us out.
I would highly recommend Saltyard for a nice gathering of friends or date night.
The service we had was average at best. Our server he had only been on the job a couple of weeks. Food was ok. The rib eye came out under-cooked and we sent it back. It came back well done, not medium rare like we had ordered.
OMG it was a great find. Creative menu, delicious food, great service and beautiful outdoor seating for a hot weather like this.
Our waiter Kamal, made our experience a much more fun. He was great with our nephew and and funny. We will be going back.
Amazing food and service. Everything was inviting and taste was fantastic. Started with cocktails, got a gimlet and passion something, both were well made and tasty. The starters: calamari was plumb and juicy. The kale quinoa salad was so fresh and delicious. Oyster Rockefeller was good, wish it was hotter when it arrived. Entrees: rib eye was cooked perfectly and flavor was awesome. Short ribs were juicy and moist, good flavor. Branzino had a nice crispy skin, mango sauce was good too. Pappardelle with short ribs, pasta perfectly cooked, sauce was amazing, ribs great. Desserts: since it was my birthday, they comped a house dessert. It was omg the most amazing mango panna cotta. I asked if it was in the menu and it isn't. I would come back just for this. Overall a great meal and planning our next visit.
We both had the special which was grilled salmon topped with a lemon caper sauce with an arugula salad and oven roasted potatoes. It was delicious and a very generous portion.
I would recommend this place and I want to come back to try out more things
We are a group of 9 that like appetizers and cocktails. On Saturday the 14th we were at Saltyard for the 1st time. The cocktails were very tasty. The food was varied and good, especially the truffle fries, the shrimp bruchetta, the crab cakes and the crab tacos. HOWEVER our evening was made by Kamal. He was fantastic. The service was excellent but his personality made our evening. We do this every few weeks and most of our experiences are good, but Kamal brought our experience to another level. He even came over when we were leaving and asked our names, where we were from and welcomed us to return. We will. What a night, what a guy!
We've had some good experiences but also some bot so good experiences. The staff is great and the ambiance is great. But some of the food was so-so/ not good.
