Great spot for large groups. Very generous portions.
It was starting to rain as we rsn inside the warm welcoming Saltyard restaurant and were guided to our table. Ice eater and glasses of wine were set up at our places and we eagerly began to read the menu, we had s hard time deciding as each dish sounded better than the one before!
The meals were delicious snd perfectly prepared! Satisfying and generous proportions made having desert impossible! We love this placr snd will be back again snd again!
Food was good, waiter didn’t seem like he wanted to be at work that day.
Saltyard is my favorite restaurant in Burlingame downtown. The service is fabulous and the food is awesome. The location is very convenient. Both indoor and outdoor tables are very comfortable for family dining, celebrating an event and fine dining. The staff is extraordinary with their professionalism, high quality of service and hospitality. Highly recommended for lunch and dinner. Must go place!
Nice outdoor day to sit outside for lunch with a friend. Especially like the fresh beet salad. Pasta was a bite too creamy, and I could not finish my meal.
Sat outside in front patio. Food was excellent. Server was appropriately attentive. Highly recommend.
Ordered the following:
* calmari- very good
* spring roll - overcooked and hard and lacked flavor
* kale quinoa with salmon - very good
* seafood linguine- very good
Overall I would go go.
We came to celebrate a birthday and their outdoor seating is dog friendly. It was a very busy Friday evening. The service is always top notch and the food delicious. The waiter brought out a surprise birthday cheesecake for my 84YO mother who really enjoyed herself.
Outdoor dining area is basically on the street (with noise, exhaust, etc.) and was overfilled for COVID comfort - but, they were extremely helpful in finding a way to accommodate our concerns. Service was great and food was excellent with large portions. Look forward to dining inside soon!
The hostess was not very welcoming and would not entertain our request for a table further away from the front door although other tables were open. We asked for bread and it came out burned. The beet salad had canned beets and the lamb risotto and pappardelle entrees were meh with stew meat. The risotto was too salty. The servers were friendly and attentive although the entrees came out while we were still eating our salads.
Plenty of staff available but service was 7/10. Some waitstaff were very much on point while others seemed distracted. The appetizers were delicious (gnocchi, egg rolls, burratta) the steaks were slightly cooked in some areas
overall experience was just ok. We had out of town guests, ordered so much on the menu but the service is what brought this rating down. Our waiter was more like a 'food server' versus a waiter. Rarely came to the table, in fact we had to call him out to take our order after 30 minutes and offered no suggestions when asked. He treated us like he was rushed with no interest in making the dining experience enjoyable. Most likely will not come back.
We got the ribeye dish and it seems like it was soaking in a wet marinade. Since we ordered it med-rare, the meat had a different and wetter/chewier texture than usual, and the glaze on the ribeye was a bit sweet. It was not what I was expecting and was a little disappointed. The veggies that came with the ribeye was ok, the green beans were a little overdone. However, the raviolis were delicious, and the calamari was good, too.
always a fun time at Saltyard and lovely outdoor dining area!
The food was excellent, the service was great and it had a really edgy and energetic atmosphere.
Food is good but can be a touch pricey. Service is fine but could be improved with a bit more attention from the service team that one would expect from a restaurant at this price point.
Third time here and won’t be out last. Food, cocktails and wine menu are excellent!
Imagine mashed potatoes smeared across your plate with undercooked asparagus and an entire sea bass, skin, head, etc.... not appetizing or tasty.
Terrible host. No acknowledgement at check-in. Then after checking in, host decided to help the next guest behind me.
Was my second visit. I really enjoyed it. Something about the atmosphere.
Went wirh a group of 11 - our waiter was patient, and everyone enjoyed their meals -
Overall, our experience was good. We've eaten here before and our meal was fine, not outstanding, but fine. We sat outside and the noise level was a little too high for me but I'm pretty sensitive. I had the lamb shoulder which was good but not outstanding, though the brussel sprouts were really good and I'm not usually a fan of brussel sprouts. I remember my meal from the first time I ate here being outstanding and this meal didn't strike me as being quite as good. I will say I was very impressed with the waiter splitting the salad we decided to share into two plates without us even asking.
We are not big eaters! the appetizers, salads and deserts are tremendous. If really hungry all main courses were excellent but we had too much left over. Need to split these. we celebrated our 60th with our 58 and 50 olds and had a great experience.
Great tasting steak… flavorful and juicy!
Good food, reasonable prices
Service was very slow. Only came to our table to take order, deliver food and then take the check. Never checked to see if we needed anything else or refill for drinks. Drinks were also delivered late.
Great food, really nice waitstaff! We had spring rolls and calamari to start, both were really well done. Their cocktails were also very tasty.
Our party had the steak, sea bass, papardelle pasta and they were excellent.
All in all, it was a fun time and the waiter was so nice, he could tell we were all getting together for the first time and gave us a little extra time to talk,
Can't wait to go back!!
Love the food love the service love the staff. However The noise level from the customers even sitting outside by the street Was louder than I like. Older ears I guess.
The food was very good and cocktails were awesome! Went here with my family and we all enjoyed it.
The food is wonderful. We love the selections and its very tasty.
Our table had the cars at salad - it was nothing special but a tossed with croutons. Mushroom ravioli, creamed, very good. Sliders (2) with fries- The only thing fries were soft letting you know too much oil.
Desserts were delicious but we're small portioned not recommended to share.
Glad to find this beautiful this spot. We have had their special prawns appetizer and scallops entree, they were both Michelin class and very flavorful meals. Thank you Salt Yard!
Food was ok - definitely not worth $44.00 for the ribeye. However, service was poor. It will definitely be a long time before I go back.
Great service, drinks, and food!
Great birthday dinner with a special cheesecake dessert for the birthday girl. The wine library looks like a great spot, we will ask for a table there next time.
Very good, friendly staff
