The restaurant was set up nicely with a staff member serving drinks on the outside. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful with the menus. The food was superb.
We shared the app sampler for two! Everything was delicious!
I’ve been here with small groups (less than 6) several times .. they are great attending to all the dynamics that come with every person wanting just a little something different than the other. My only issue is there was a large group in the front area whose attendees blocked the walkway to the restroom and were rude as other patrons were trying to pass through them. Maybe reverse order so large groups are out of the way of the main flow?
The food was (mostly) well prepared and some dishes were definitely better than others. The bread and butter was good (needed salt) we got it complementary which is good because I’d have higher expectations had we paid $4 for grilled bread (I love bread) and butter. The deviled egg was good, well seasoned. The spinach dip was pretty good though they should probably give their servers a better explanation of lavash (she described it to a table near us as being like soda crackers that were “stale” because she said she didn’t have a better way to describe them). They’re crackers made from a thin type of unleavened bread. The sliders were texturally very good. The bread was soft and fresh, the meats cooked to perfect internal temps and the flavors were good. The fried apple hand pies were delicious (a bit heavily spiced but not criminally so) the crust was executed well too. The chocolate bread pudding was terrible. It was stodgy and the texture was gross. Bread pudding should never be that solid it’s a pudding not a cake. It’s was honestly the worst attempt at bread pudding I have ever had. Overall the food was decent, the servers are all friendly, and the ambiance was good.
Great vibe and food on a busy Saturday night! Can’t wait to go back!
Food was delicious and great service
The four of us ordered appetizers and entrees. The lamb slider was undercooked, spinach dip too small, and bread was nothing special for price. No one liked their entree. Our service was fine but we will not be back.
We got seated right away and were able to order a drink. About 20 - 30 minutes after we ordered, the server asked us what our order was. After an hour and a half with no food or apology from the manager or our server, we left. We just gave up... They were kind enough to charge $30 for the experience. Probably one of the top 5 of my worst dining experiences. It was no fun and a ruined evening.
We waited over 45 minutes to get our food and our server was totally disinterested in us. He ignored our requests. We were gone a feeble excus and apology. No dessert was offered to compensate us so with that kind of service I would not recommend going there
The server was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the kitchen was down 2 chefs which led to the 2 entrees being served very late. My main complaint was the temperature. We had to keep our coats on during dinner due to the cold draft. I’ll think about returning in the spring.
Super tasty, Perfect shareable sides for a group of 3. The mini hamburger slider was excellent. Carrots, brussel sprouts, green beans, and spinach dip was amazing! Don’t pass it up.
Friday evening dinner for 5 friends - staff was friendly and helpful. We grazed, had a number of sharable dishes, all were good. Brussel sprouts and empanadas were very well prepared, shrimp and grits would stand up anywhere. The whole fried fish (branzino) was done well, if a bit overpriced IMHO. The drinks were excellent, and had some interesting options for my cocktail loving friends. I'd go back!
The food was spectacular and the service was prompt and knowledgeable. We will be back!
Amazing food & service! Will definitely be back
So happy we discovered this restaurant! Incredible service from Ashley - helpful with all of her suggestions and perfectly attentive. We were never rushed. Tiffany crafted delicious cocktails that we requested based on our flavor preferences. We will definitely be back!
Great food and service
Went on Valentine’s Day around 9pm. Parking is easy and they ask for your license plate number to reimburse you before being seated. Ambiance is nice. The restaurant has a modern rustic feel. Food is delicious. Crab cakes are to die for. We also ordered shrimp and grits and it was amazing. Drinks were pretty good as well. My bf says that their Chardonnay got him tipsy quick so I guess that’s a good thing lol. I’ll come back. Very pleasant experience. No complaints.
The food was outstanding. There was some issues with our reservation but Lee quickly handled it. We had the crispy black fish which came with a carrot slaw. Yum yum yum! And the atmosphere was a vibe!
Nothing terrible, but also nothing impressive. The food was just okay and the service was the same. I’ve had much better so I probably won’t be back at least for a while.
Awesome atmosphere and food. We were running late and called the restaurant and Worked us in.
Going out on Valentine’s Day can be an “adventure” but our experience at Saltyard was perfect - from start to finish the entire staff was professional and everyone was cheerful and happy to be working! The food was amazing too!
The service and food at Saltyard are consistently wonderful. Great neighborhood spot!
Great mid price California Italian style wine, Siena!
Lovely light vegetarian dish a treat!
Restaurant was full on a Tuesday night and for good reason - food was fantastic and service top notch!
Great bday celebration!
Saltyard has always been a favorite but it has become very inconsistent. More than one menu item showed up at the table different from the menu description. When we asked for missing sauces or garnishes, it took so long that our food was either gone because we were hungry or cold because we didn’t eat it while waiting. The kitchen was initially at fault, but our server gave up and that compounded the issue. We ordered two desserts and there was at least a 10 minute gap between when each of the desserts arrived! Very disappointing, I hope they can turn it around.
Food was quick and hot . Everything was delicious- small plates allowed us to try a variety of selections.
This was a great place to get together with our group and the experience was outstanding!
Awesome service, delicious food and cool ambience
We had the sampler, salmon entree, and creme brûlée. Everything was delicious. Staff was attentive and knowledgeable. We will be back!
It was a great restaurant with a nice vibrant ambiance and the food was great! The cocktails on point and the service was up to my strandeds! Would definitely visit again!
Food was excellent but Open Table said there weren't many reservations but it didn't get crowded at all.
We had this best dining experience at salt yard yesterday!! The food was amazing! What a wonderful selection of small plates! I tried a few wine selections to pair with my tapas selections and they were spot on! The service was so quick and friendly and we felt so comfortable! Our server Lorrany was so sweet and knowledgeable about the menu and wine selections. Great service Lorrany! We will be coming back next time in the Buckhead area!
I love this place and it’s becoming a “goto” for me in the neighborhood. Great selection of food and wine, reasonable price, easy to get in and out. Great staff.
Service and food were both on point. There was a large group in the bar area but didn’t interfere with our dinner at all.
Ordered steak medium rare and it was cooked well. Two steak entrees brought out 5 minutes after all others!
Loved our food and especially the service. Everything was just right.
It was a quiet evening, which has not been the usual experience, but it remained an exceptional dining experience. Our waitstaff were cordial and very knowledgeable and the presentation of the food was top notch and the taste superb.
Perhaps Sunday night is not the night to eat at Saltyard. It was dead. It was depressing--dark and too quiet (and I'm someone who hates restaurants that are too loud!). No illuminated signage that we saw to direct us there at night. Parking instructions given by the hostess were unclear so we ended up paying when we didn't have to. The server had no personality and added to the somber feeling in the restaurant. The food was terrific. But, great food alone is never ever going to make me want to return to a restaurant. Saltyard had absolutely nothing else to offer.
Thanks Ms. Amy, I appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. I am sorry our service did not measure up to our food and that parking was difficult. To be clear, we only need our guest's license plate information to validate parking (which is free for our guests). I hope that you will give us another opportunity to put our best foot forward and please call me at the restaurant directly so that I may see to your next visit personally. Warm Regards, Lee Schulman, Proprietor
