Once we got our table, it was an excellent experience. Our server, Sparkle, was awesome and very attentive. Food was great, well prepared, and cooked to order. We eat at several different steak restaurants within a given year, and Saltgrass exceeds our typical experience. Many are overpriced for the quality. Saltgrass is priced appropriately for the high quality they deliver. The only issue we had was upon our arrival. Despite a fairly empty restaurant, there seemed to be confusion within the staff, and it took much longer than necessary to be seated at our table.

We had a reservation on Thanksgiving at 3pm for a traditional Thanksgiving meal. The restaurant “ran out” of their Thanksgiving menu at 12:30! Shocked that a restaurant that had reservations going until late in the afternoon could run out at only 12:30? Did they fill take-out orders with food meant for dining-in guests? We, like others, did not cook at home but could have, but we counted on what was being advertised. We ended up with no traditional Thanksgiving meal on Thanksgiving and we sat there for 1.5 hours before we even got our appetizers which we had to cancel so we could move the process along to get the salads. Very frustrating.

Had reservations at 3:00 pm didn’t get served till 4:50pm Baked Potato’s were burnt portion’s were small and cold we will knock this place off our bucket list done that but won’t eat their again!!!!!!!!!!! 🥴👎🏼

We normally have great experiences at Saltgrass in the Woodlands TX. We made reservations for 4 people for THANKSGIVING Dinner in Tyler Tx so we could take my 89 year old Mom out for dinner as it was the first holiday since my dad passed. We got seated right on time at 1:30pm and the waitress greeted us in a timely manner and took our drink order. When it was time to order she informed us that they were out of the Thanksgiving dinner. Really!?! If you take reservations knowingly for a certain number of people on Thanksgiving, knowing that 75-85% of the people would order a turkey dinner there should still be Turkey dinners for people at 1:30-2pm. It is not like end of the evening. So we tried to order off the lunch menu only to be told 10 minutes later that would not be possible. Really?!? It was before 4 pm. So we changed the order to full order portions. 7-10 minutes later my Mom was informed they were out of the tenderloin tips she wanted .Again mid afternoon out of one of your popular dishes. Mind you this was my Mom’s first time to a Saltgrass. Lastly, the bartender had difficulty keeping up with orders and our poor waitress was trying to get me a second drink right before the meal arrived and it was still not ready by the time we finished eating. Totally disappointed. Manager was not available for comments otherwise I would have express our disappointment to him/her. The waitress was great

One meal was cold upon arrival and had to continuously ask waiter for things because was not tentative at all. Waiter was all over the place because had too many tables.

Server started off great. After 50 minutes, he came by and said the kitchen wouldn't tell him why our food was taking so long, but he assured us it was coming right out. We never asked or mentioned that it was taking a long time. It didn't "come right out", but did show up in a little bit. The two chicken sandwiches came out right. The one steak was ordered well done and came out medium-rare to medium. We got the server back over to the table and he asked if we wanted to have them put it back on. A manager brought it back and though it was now cooked, had a dirty grill taste. Three bites in was enough. The server never came back until he dropped off the check. We had been out of drinks since the manager brought back the re-cooked steak, so we asked for refills. So, for $27.99, I got a salad, baked potato, and poor service. Been to this location quite a few times. Other than the time that one of the managers lost my LSC card (and never replaced it), this would be the most disappointing. Hope this isn't a trend.

Always excellent! Steaks are cooked perfectly and service is outstanding. Manager is always present and watching over everything making sure all needs are met. Saltgrass is our favorite place to eat out.

After placing order, waited 40 mins for entrees to be served. Ordered steak salad and lettuce was not fresh as salad had lots of brown edged iceberg lettuce. Manager stated that they usually used fresh lettuce but my salad must have been made yesterday. I wound up only eating meat in the salad. Manager gave a discount. Wait staff was friendly and very busy.

For some reason when my wooden orders medium well it comes back pink. Don’t know if cooks are rushed but they can’t seem to get it right. Other than that a good experience. dw

I’ve been to other salt grasses before, but I believe the holiday weekend plus graduations pushed this one a bit tight. Food wasn’t up to par as I’ve experienced in the past.

I received my $25.00 birthday gift from Landry's. We made reservations for my birthday. We were seated in just a few minutes. It was a Sunday evening, and the restaurant was quite empty. It appeared they had had a rather large party prior to our arrival. We sat at the table for nearly 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged we were there. Several servers passed by without even speaking to us. It would have been nice for someone to let us know that SOMEONE will be with you in just a moment. Finally someone came and greeted us. Our food was excellent. I guess they don't do anything special for birthdays.

The two ladies at the hostess table were both rude. Did not take my landrys club number and told me we wouldn’t be seated at my reservation time or be put in front of the line. Waited more than 30 mins to find out the kitchen was behind and they were purposely telling people an hour. Finally got seated and no one ever came to take a drink order. Numerous people around us had been sitting for more than 30 mins with no drinks or food. We left without any food or drinks. Very disappointing.

Made reservation on Open Table and received email confirmation. Called restaurant day of just to be certain and they couldn’t locate reservation and refused to honor it even though I had email and confirmation number. Chose to dine elsewhere.
